A hire van collided with my mums car, when insurance looked into the claim the van had no mot, insurance and had previously been an insurance write off so shouldn't of been hired out. The manager has harassed my mum asking her to go threw them to fix her car and when she has refused they have refused to respond to the insurance. Absolute sham of a company. Wouldn't touch them !!!

Thanks for the reply elliots, it is a true reflection off elliots cheetham Hill Road, we have recieved harrasing calls from zaf, who has also informed the insurance not to contact him again. There is also proof of the hire vehicle and accident posted on Google so please look at that review for further evidence it is your vehicle. Nobody is interested unless she goes threw urself instead of her own insurance company. Why would she want to do this when has been treated this way and has now been told by somebody else the hire van was hired without insurance. Thankyou

From start to finish everything was so effecient, quick and easy to deal with and great service.
I did not notice until returning the car that it had gotten scratched but they said as I had rented from them before they would not charge me for that which was a big relief.
I will definitely try to use them again.

Absolutely amazing service from everyone at Elliotts. We had quite a bit of trouble with our old car just before we were about to take our children on holiday and we needed a rental car fast. Zaf and his staff were amazingly helpful, instantly reassuring us we’d make it on holiday and providing us with the perfect car for our needs. Not only that ywe received easily the best customer service we’ve ever known - the staff are extremely knowledgeable and absolutely nothing was too much trouble for them. Thank you so much guys!

I have hired from Elliotts many times and always had a good experience. This is a great company and usually always have a vehicle available when in need and the service is brilliant.

My initial contact with Elliots was lovely and the person I dealt with couldn't have been more accommodating. Even offering to deliver and collect the rental vehicle was a nice touch. So how can such a good start turn into such a bad and ugly end?

Well, it begins with the delivery driver who arrived smelling as if he hadn't had a shower for some time. Explaining enthusiastically how "he's leaving Elliots because of how awful they are to work for" was interesting to say the least. Having him then inform me the "engine management warning light is on, but that I needn't worry about it because"... and I quote... "I've checked everything and the van is OK", did somewhat dent my confidence.

Driving the van to London in sweltering conditions wouldn't have quite been so bad had the air conditioning worked. And so all in all, despite being promised a new 2022 model and not the 2020 one I received, we made the most of our travels.

On return a week later, Elliotts completely forgot about our arrangement to collect the van from my home address and on politely questioning them about this, they chose in response to argue rudely. Still, the van was finally collected.

I did think at the time, I'll not use Elliotts again, but after two weeks of not having my deposit returned, my mind (as you can imagine) is now made up.

All said, some people enjoy the Elliotts way and wax lyrical about it online. But from time to time, it's clear to me they get things terribly wrong...

I have been a customer for a number of years. My experience today has changed everything for me as far as this lot is concerned. I hired a mini van yesterday to go to Kettering round trip. I was quoted a day rate of £49 plus deposit. Upon returning the vehicle this morning, the cheeky lot said I had gone over the agreed mileage by 150 miles. My round trip mileage approx.300 miles.
The thing is I never hired the van on agreed miles. I was asked how far I was travelling and I indicated that I was going to Kettering which was roughly 147 miles from Manchester. As far as I am concerned I hired the vehicle for a day and nothing was said to me expressly about the mileage restriction. They have now docked £30 for the allegedly excessive mileage.
A very bad experience indeed.

A really friendly bunch. Great service and lovely clean vans. Held my credit due to covid, just redeemed it. No hassle, no problems.

Rented a Luton van with a tail lift for a weekend to move house. The price was reasonable, the van was clean and well maintained, and the staff were all helpful and friendly.

Good Vehicles at a fair price, will be using again! Dealt with Faisal was a pleasure!
