What utter scammers..they've done a runner. They owe me for a new battery while vehicle was under their 3 month warranty. Now they have gone into voluntary liquidation

Such a great experience!
Had a great experience with emerald House of Cars Tom and Victoria was amazing and so helpful on helping us purchase our car, couldn't wish for better service and would highly recommend anyone to purchase from them
If you are reading this your are either…
If you are reading this your are either considering buying a car from this garage and want to satisfy yourself that this is a reputable garage to buy from or you are here to write a review because you just brought a new car from and received a link to click on to give them a 5* review as requested by your sales person. Either way you may be interested in the below. Unfortunately my review is the reality of buying a car from Emerald house of Cars.I recently purchased a Mercedes CLA. After just a few weeks the car developed an oil leak. I emailed the garage to advise of this and got a call back to advise me to call the warrantee company and sort it out with them. So, I called the warrantee company who advised me that I have to find a VAT registered garage, book it in, get them to do a diagnosis then let them know and ‘if’ it’s covered under their warrantee they will pay for it. I went away called the first 9 garages who told me they don’t deal with warrantee companies because of non payment and other various issues. I finally found a garage that would look at the car but I had to pay a diagnosis fee. I agreed to pay it. They came back and said there is an oil leak which had spread under the gear box and that they didn’t want to get involved in it because they could repair it and it may not fix the issue. I called the warrantee company and was told that I need to take it to another garage and get a ‘proper’ diagnosis which involves striping out the gear box and if it wasn’t covered under their warrantee then I would have to pay the bill. Disappointed I decided to look at the previous MOT’s. Prior to Emerald house of cars doing the MOT a few days before delivery I noticed the previous MOT had an advisory of an oil leak. Coincidence, I think not.Clearly Emerald house of cars had done the MOT in house and just passed it to get the sale. Disappointing considering I have children and have been using the car with them it. Very dangerous. I wrote them to advise that I was not willing to gamble taking it to a garage and if it wasn’t covered under their warranty I would be stuck with a bill for potentially thousands. I requested a refund and collection of the vehicle. I advised I was happy for them to make a fair reduction for few weeks I had the vehicle ( not looking for any gain, just a car I can take my children in safely) I received a quick reply to say there will be no refund. I emailed back to say I was more than happy for them to send a mechanic to my house to repair it. Eventually they sent someone to collect the car with the view of fixing it in their own garage. They had the car for a few days and dropped it back and said it was all fixed. Upon receiving the car I took it to a local garage and asked them to put it on the ramp to check if the leaks was fixed and (as you probably guessed) it was still leaking. I emailed them again and advised I have pictures to show the leak had not been fixed. I had a response to say they would take it back and try and fix it once again meaning I will be without the car once again. I wrote to say that although I only had the car a few weeks I was willing to give them yet another chance to fix the issue. They wrote back to say they will let me know when they had a driver free to collect the vehicle. That was 4 weeks ago today and still no communication from them but still a £19,000 faulty car leaking oil on my drive. On the front of it they portray themselves as ‘we are different to all the other car sales garages’ when in reality they are exactly the same. The most disappointing thing is the lack of help.If you are here to write your 5* review because you just bought a new vehicle from then I would urge you to wait at least 3 months to write your review. You may be feeling great now because the purchase of a car is a very emotional purchase, it makes your feel good and I have no doubt the sales person was super friendly and helpful as mine was but sadly, the truth is that they simply just want your money. From experience, my advice would be to wait 3 months and if the car is still reliable write your review,at least it will be honest and accurate for the next person thinking of purchasing a car.Unfortunately in my case I have already wasted hours communicating with with the sales company, ombudsman ,the warrantee company, solicitors and media and I really wouldn’t want this experience for anyone else.Regarding the ‘free 3 month warrantee’ that you can extent, it’s not worth the paper it’s written on. It’s sold on the basis of it will save you time and money if anything does go wrong but the truth is rather the opposite. Remember car sales relies on the customer not having buyers remorse that’s why car sales are driven towards buying now, buying quickly. Overall from my experience I would say move on to the next car advert. This business will happily take your money but when the vehicle goes wrong they don’t want to know.
That good, it had to have a review…
You have either got to be amazing or appalling for me to write a review..... well....Amazing, top draw, highly recommended...I could go on...
I saw the car on Zuto after being offered finance, and it was an impulse buy on the spot it was just gorgeous. I have never bought a car without seeing it or testing driving first, it but thought...what can go wrong. Turns out absolutely nothing, they were brilliant, they were patient as I had to wait for my new V5 after taking off my private plate to sell my existing car but the car was duly delivered two weeks later, absolutely gleaming and drives like a dream.
Highly recommend Tom and the team at Emerald House of Cars...First class service and cars!
Honorable and Honest +++++++
Honest, Honorable and Highly recommended. My car was for sale through Autotrader (Privately). Alan gave me a call and was very respectful in his approach. Alan asked if I'd be open to discuss selling my car to Emerald. We agreed a price and subject to the vehicle being as described, he would purchase at that price. When viewed, there was no negotiating on price; he paid the agreed fee instantly. Transactions don't get any easier than this. Thanks Alan.
Emerald horrible aftercare, unreliable, just after a quick buck and no regard for customer satisfaction
I bought a car after they said they ran all checks and the car had no issues, a few days later the EML came on, i called them and they said they would cover a diagnosis fee of £40 i took to a mechanic and the car had a nox sensor problem. They refused to take the car back even though they have a 7 day return guarantee on their website and they said i need to give them a chance to repair.
They were not helpful, bad customer care, ignored msges and late replies, wouldn't answer my calls, I called Mercedes and they said the sensor could be faulty or it might need an update on software but the update doesn’t usually fix the problem.
Emerald did not want to change the sensor and only did a software update, after long and exhausting talks over messages (because they did not answer my calls) they finally accepted 3 months warranty on the nox sensor.
Although they said they would cover the diagnosis fee they avoided it and didn’t pay me back for it.
Just bad customer care.
You spend all that money to have the car as described that its passed all tests and perfect with no issues, and then it needs over a grand to fix, then they dont fix but mask the problem, then they dont want to give additional warranty on the part they said they “fixed”
Wouldn’t recommended them, go with a more reliable dealer
Avoid avoid

Car buying
A really friendly and honest dealership, I would recommend to buy your next car from Emerald. Other places don't care about you, after you buy a car, but Emerald show great support to any specific needs.
Supportive company but would not use again.
My partner bought a Subaru STI 2017, with just over 30,000 miles on it. The sale was fast and we got the car delivered quick and easy. No later than 2 weeks the car broke down and needed £2,000 worth of repairs. We were without the car for nearly 2 months as a result due to the engine rebuild and warranty decisions. I hope Emerald take this onboard when they purchase or p/x high performance vehicles and complete more thorough checks of common issues with Subarus e.g HG failure, before sales can take place so that this doesn’t happen to customers in future. Thankfully, I will say that Emerald did pay most of the bill in the end and were supportive throughout the situation. I will however add that the day of delivery, we were only sent the walk round video of the vehicle where they finally revealed all the little damages that they not previously mentioned before hand.
Emerald house of cars did me a Emerald deal
From the moment I spotted my dream whip on Motors.co.uk, scoured Emerald House Of Cars details and called them, I was made to feel welcomed and a valued customer.
I enquired about additional details, and someone was straight on the case, enquired if it would be possible to test drive and drive away same day if all OK, and got the right feedback, that it wasn't impossible.
As soon as we arrived you could see the quality of performance vehicles on the forecourts even in the snow. We were left with the keys and didn't get pressurised, just left to it to scoure the vehicle. The test drive was spot on, PJ made me feel at ease quickly and knew his stuff. When he didn't know some of the history he double checked it and came back with the right info.
With minutes to spare and after PJ sorting out the finance companies errors, we signed the deal and left with our dream whip.
I got no BS, No hard sell, the truth and I hadn't even seen their 20min YouTube vid covering the car... these guys n gals care about cars and evidently get the right car to the right people. Will recommend again and again...

Shiny on the outside......
You are welcome to Bristol to pick up the Audi Sq5 you sold me that is back in the garage for the third time. Will be collectively around £7k of repairs and I've had it about 4 months. And you refuse to even do anything about it. This company claims customers are family and that all cars are subject to massive checks before they go out.
That must be how my car had a bald tyre, no aircon gas, no oil, a major oil leak, a blown turbo and an internal water leak because there was no cover on the ecu.
They did sort the bits initially but I've been now left with a £5k bill because of a blown turbo.
I do not trust these people at all, they claim to be something they are not.
Use at your peril. You have been warned.
Wouldn’t recommend anyone wasting time…
Wouldn’t recommend anyone wasting time with this shambles of a business, this is the second time I’ve head dealings with this place and both times service has been shocking. My partner came in to purchase a car on finance (paid the holding deposit) went through all the finance forms and even signed the finance contract to then be called up and told they’d sold the car to someone else. Apparently the holding deposit was put down 10 minutes before ours, if that’s the case why didn’t it flag up saying deposit taken when you typed it into the system? Still took our deposit and details for finance waisting both of ours times and the finance companies time. Then had to chase the refund 3 times, 2 times we were told it was processing and the 3rd time we were told they’d only just processed it on that day. Turns out they still have the car and it hasn’t actually sold but that’s a blessing in disguise’s for us as we found another dealership that we’re a lot more helpful and efficient in the way they work, also there was a weird ticking noise on the engine that the other cars we viewed didn’t have (same make, model, year and similar mileage). Also to add, my partner put a review on their Facebook page and was called up by someone from the office, they asked him to take the review down and they would give him a free MOT on his new car when needed. Think this really says it all!
Would leave zero feedback if I could!!
Would leave zero feedback if I could. Agreed the purchase of a Focus ST TDCI-left a deposit of £100 and agreed a part exchange price on my car. After no contact I contacted them only to be told that they had used the wrong website to value my car and then devalued my car in order to maximise their profits. After contacting them again (very poor communication-never get back to you) I stated that I would agree to their revised valuation (again they had not seen my car) they then stated that I should sell my car privately and low and behold the car I wished to purchase from them has been sold to another customer. Award wining dealership-really what was the award for!! Just read similar reviews to mine I would avoid them at all costs!!
I'm really trying to contact you…
I'm really trying to contact you through your numbers but unfortunately keep getting cut off. I have left a Facebook message and urgently need to talk to you guys.
Please help thank you

I recently brought my dream car from Emerald but unfortunately the clutch went after a few weeks. I rang up and spoke with Emily from the technical team, she informed me straight away that it's covered under their warrenty scheme. I was so thankful for all the info I got and the support I got from the team. I'm really glad I brought my car from Emerald as I wouldn't think I would have gotten that kind of care from anyone else.
So again thank you to Emily and everyone at Emerald

Paid £100 to reserve my car online
Paid £100 to reserve my car online. Am emailed saying my car is reserved and then see its been taken off their website immediately stating deposit had been paid. Made sense as I had just done that.
Next I get a call saying someone else has bought the car and I have to wait till the next day to see what happens. I get a call at 5pm to say sorry someone else has bought it on finance. I was paying cash. Dodgy company and obviously just think about their sales figures rather that their customers. Looks like I may have dodged a bullet!
