had one of the worst travel experiences…
had one of the worst travel experiences of my life with Emirates.
I arrived at the airport at 2:00, while my flight was scheduled to depart at 3:50. I was already at check-in and immigration well in advance, which was witnessed by both Emirates staff and immigration officers.
I needed to present an Extended Visa, which I was applying for online. Due to a technical failure, the official system would not load, so I physically could not show the document — despite being on time and actively trying.
Immigration refused boarding, which I understand. However, Emirates then issued me a replacement ticket for the next available flight, clearly stating that it was valid.
This replacement ticket turned out to be invalid, and I was denied boarding again. After that, I was told I needed to pay extra money to make the ticket “valid”, even though it was issued by Emirates themselves.
Later, Emirates claimed they had “investigated” the case and falsely stated that I arrived late. This is completely untrue. I provided evidence proving I was already at immigration long before check-in closed.
As a result, I missed another flight and was left stranded on Christmas, with almost no money, waiting hours for the next available flight.
This is not premium service. This is negligence, misinformation, and unacceptable treatment of a passenger in distress.
Complete Lack of Compassion Toward a Disabled 66 Year Old Passenger
My father Asher Bitton is 66 years old and disabled. Due to a complex medical condition he made an innocent human mistake and booked his return flight for the wrong month. The mistake was discovered within a few hours and I immediately contacted Emirates on his behalf to fix it.
What followed was deeply disappointing.
Instead of empathy or assistance we were met with complete rigidity and indifference. After more than an hour of exhausting discussions with Emirates representatives we were told that the only option was to pay an additional fee immediately. We were explicitly instructed that only after payment could we submit a refund request or ask for the case to be reviewed.
We had no real choice. We paid trusting Emirates to act fairly afterward.
That trust was misplaced.
After submitting the refund request Emirates simply stopped responding. We sent multiple emails over an extended period and received no replies. When we finally managed to submit another formal complaint Emirates responded only to say that they had already provided their final answer in a previous email and would not address the matter again.
So I ask is this how Emirates treats elderly and disabled passengers
Is this how a so called premium airline treats loyal customers when they genuinely need help
My father has flown with Emirates for years without a single issue. The one time there was a real problem caused by health and age related circumstances we were met with cold bureaucracy silence and a total lack of compassion.
This experience has been exhausting frustrating and deeply upsetting.
We expected far better from Emirates.
Emirates…excellent
Every trip I have done with Emirates have been excellent from start to finish.
Business Class - Awful.
Frequent long haul flyers with Emirates. The latest two have been 2 leg return journey’s Business Class from KL in Malaysia to Manchester UK via Dubai.
18/12. KL lounge. One chef using one pan at a time on the egg counter. One person in front of me waiting for an omelette. Vegetables already being fried in pan. I asked for two fried eggs sunny side up and was asked by the manager to sit at a table and it would be brought to me. I made and buttered my toast. After 5 full minutes the chef was still slowly toying with the omelette and hadn’t finished it. My toast was cold and soggy by now, so I cancelled my eggs! On our flight to Dubai we had the mezze. Completely tasteless. While sitting on our plane in Dubai during a delay of over an hour. I asked for an old fashioned drink to have watching a film while waiting. The polite answer was not until take off. I had two still and one sparkling mini bottles of water next to my seat. They were all WARM. After our soup starter, the empty bowls were left for 25 minutes without anyone removing them. When my steak tenderloin and broccoli arrived it had been cremated and was as dry as a bone. They should have described the broccoli as a puree. When you put your fork in to pick it up, it collapsed into a soggy mush. The ‘salad’ was several plain salad leaves, 3 small whole tomato's, 4 pomegranate seeds and a mini balsamic vinegar. A three year old could have made it. Awful experience and we will definitely reconsider who we fly with in future.
Mauritius in November
This is the second time that I have booked with Emirates Holidays and I can’t rate them highly enough, from booking my holiday talking to courteous staff who helped me throughout the process before I went and everyone on the whole of my journey. The hotels that I stayed were excellent.
Travelling as I am now a single senior citizen, I have every confidence choosing them in the future. In fact l will be away to Thailand in March with their help.
Don’t hesitate to book with them and there prices are very reasonable.
Highly recommended
Very easy to use website, coupled with good choice of hotels at competitive prices. Staff friendly and extremely helpful - both online and in person.
Effortless
There is nothing I can score lower that 5.
Everything about the emirates holiday experience from start to finish was ideal.
I booked on 25th December for our holiday 1/12/25-9/12/25.
The confirmation email, the booking system, managing the booking, making payment towards booking were super easy.
I’ve never heard anyone have a bad word to say about emirates.
Already looking to book my next package holiday with them.
Sheraton hotel jumeriah beach
Traveled with Emirates Holidays to the Sheraton Hotel Jumeirah Beach in Dubai, we booked premium economy seats for the flights and really enjoyed the comfort and space. The hotel was modern, clean and positioned on its own private beach. The service from all the staff in every department was fantastic, they couldn’t do enough for you, we look forward to returning again one day

We needed to book a holiday last second…
We needed to book a holiday last second after another holiday company cancelled our holiday 10 days before departure. Emirates were very helpful and patient helping us to find the right holiday for us. Everything was stress free from start to finish and we had an amazing holiday. The price was very good too which was a bonus. I will be booking with Emirates in the future.
This is my fourth holiday with Emirates…

Flying business class with Emirates
Paying for business class! Comfort, space, food, refreshments excellent. The cabin crew were also friendly, helpful, professional and extremely efficient.

Highly Recommend
We received excellent advise when booking our holiday to Dubai plus the live chat option was very useful when we had a couple of queries. We would not hesitate to book with Emirates again and we would recommend their pick up service from the airport
We Love Emirates
We've booked quite a few of our holidays and flights with Emirates now. As an airline they are fantastic. I particularly like flying on the A380 (even managed to go business a few times which is superb). Their website is easy to use, they have a wide choice of holidays and destinations and lots of flights to choose from. I've called their customer service a few times and always found them helpful and professional. The airline crew are the same, always friendly and always seem cheerful. Emirates Holidays are great value for money and definitely competitive. Emirates are always my first stop when looking for holidays or new destinations, or even just flights. Take a look - you won't be disappointed.
Regular Dubai holidaymakers
We have taken a winter holiday in Dubai for several years, most recently with Emirates Holidays.
We find their prices to be competitive and all aspects, from booking through to the holiday itself, are well organized and stress free.
Encouragingly, we have seen the quality of their UK communications improve and they are very appreciative of repeat customers such as ourselves.
We have no hesitation in recommending this company if you are considering a holiday in Dubai
Wrongly denied boarding then charged twice to get home
I was wrongly denied boarding by Emirates at Manchester on 10 November because staff claimed my passport was damaged. This was later proven to be completely false. The same passport was accepted by another airline the same day, by Dubai Immigration, by Emirates in Dubai for my return flight, and again by UK Border Force on arrival.
Because of Emirates mistake I missed an important business meeting, had to buy a last minute Saudi Airlines ticket, and endured a 12 hour indirect journey instead of the direct Emirates flight I paid for.
Even worse, because Emirates marked me as a no show despite refusing me boarding, they cancelled my return flight without my consent, charged two no show fees, and forced me to buy a brand new return ticket to get home. Emirates then accepted the exact same passport they originally refused.
Total loss is over 3500 pounds, all caused by their incorrect decision and refusal to take responsibility. Customer service repeatedly hides behind generic wording about passport responsibility while ignoring the fact that they themselves later accepted the document.
This was one of the most stressful and financially damaging travel experiences of my life. I strongly advise anyone flying with Emirates to be extremely cautious.
Not the Golden Wedding we had hoped for
We booked a combined flights and hotel vacation with Emirates to celebrate our Golden (50th) Wedding anniversary. Booking was easy and the limousine from and back to the airport was very punctual. The in flight service was excellent and the staff at our hotel were very polite and helpful. The big disappointment however, was that despite my husband personally phoning Emirates ahead of our trip and asking them to make sure that the hotel knew it was our Golden Wedding (which they assured him that they had,) there was no acknowledgment in any way by the hotel. Which I hoped they would in some small way. To rub salt in the wound, the day after our anniversary, at dinner, four or five staff members stood around the table next to ours and sang “happy birthday “ to one of the guests. Not the Anniversary that it could have been, but a good trip all the same.
Royal Meridien hotel Dubai
The whole experience from start to finish was excellent. Flights , hotel , staff , couldn’t fault it
Emirates Towers
Emirates Holiday Package /Emirates Towers Dubai
In an age where people are quick to criticise and slow to compliment. I would like to share on record my deep and sincere thank you with Rishan, Donna and their following team members; Sweta, Umesh, Schilliy, Dinesh, Ramji, Maria, Kamlesh, Ashwin, Hazel, Amun, Christina,Ashim, Donna &Bandana. During a short stay where I had some sad news. The Emirates staff rallied around me like family. I was greeted daily by heartfelt smiles and warm hospitality. My breakfast special dhosa & dairy free oatmeal request was prepared and waiting on my table each morning, without my having to ask, making me feel like Goldilocks. On my departure I was treated to an impromptu serenade at my dining table and presented with a freshly baked cake. My deepest gratitude also to the concierge team Jessie, Najam and their colleagues who were brothers/sisters in arms. They excelled in their duties to make my stay fun, memorable and went out of their way to accommodate me.
Congratulations Emirates. These standards of service are reflective of a well executed recruitment policy and impeccable staff training. This was my first stay in Dubai. On account of the genial professionalism of the team at Emirates Towers. I will only stay with Emirates resorts going forward. I shall also recommend them to friends & family. I look forward to visiting with you all again. Please keep up the hard work.
