Spare Yourself The Headache
The absolute worst! My file was what any mortgage company would call a dream file(excellent credit, verifiable income)They managed to turn the process into a discriminatory, retaliatory nightmare. I was treated like I had low credit and that somehow I couldn’t possibly have the job and income that I had. They kept prolonging the process by asking for documents, it was as if they were making up documents to ask for just to piss us off. Said we didn’t qualify for a first time home buyer program, lied about that cause they really wanted the fees from us paying the full closing costs. The fees are excessive and scammy. They cost me money and the seller money on the deal by prolonging this deal even though they knew we had a contract with a specific closing date. It was awful and very stressful. Do not use this company unless you want to pay excessive fees and be stressed to the max and take way longer to buy a home than needed.
Christian Sorenson of Equity Prime…
Christian Sorenson of Equity Prime Mortgage is hands down the best wholesale account executive I have worked with and am working with. I like to commend Chief Lending Officer Kevin DeLory and CEO Eddy Perez Jr for running a great Mortgage Banking company that change lives.
Nothing they quoted me turned out to be true
Nothing they quoted me turned out to be true at the end. It was a bait and switch to get me to move from another lender to them. They were supposed to lock us in, but didn’t and kept up the charade until we could not get our earnest money back. I do a lot of real estate transactions and used them because this was an out of state purchase. Highly unprofessional and downright dishonest. I did find another lender that was true to their word!
Criminals..
We have been going through this for almost 4 months and paid for 3 extensions and have no clue when we are closing. Our family is being forced to put our stuff in storage and couch surf with 5 small children. You guys are criminals. We have paid thousands of dollars in BS fees and done everything that has been asked of us. They have moved the closing date twice now and have no prospects of another date..
Tim Arrington is a liar a con artist…
Tim Arrington is a liar a con artist and a thief he will trick you into spending your money and never approve you for your loan this company should be shut down forever and his license should be suspended and he should be fired he made me and my family lose out on $2,000 of money keep lying to us taking our paperwork and never was going to approve us the underwriter that he works with is a con artist and a manipulator and we'll never get you approved for your loan please run from this company right away because this company is a rip-off I lost earnings money I lost appraisal money he needs to be fired and this place Equity Prime needs to be closed down for good don't believe all the hype these people are liars that goes on his website and praise him and he pays them to lie and said he's a great guy when he's not
Our experience has been awful
Our experience has been a nightmare! The process so far has been 55 days, we almost lost our dream home TWICE! We probably will lose it. The underwriter is fighting us every step of the way on the most self explanatory things. Our closing has been delayed 2 times already. I don’t know about the racist reviews but we’re black. It seems like we’re having to prove every single step of our life and account for every penny like we haven’t worked hard to be here. Retired Vet and this is the treatment we get. Stay far away from this company.
Nightmare experience!
Our experience was nothing short of a nightmare! The process took over 65 days, we almost lost our dream home TWICE! The underwriter fought us every step of the way on the most self explanatory things. We eventually had to involve the COO to get things moving. Our closing was delayed four times, including the day of our last signing. Stay far away from this company!
great experience with equity prime
great experience with equity prime, actually one of the easiest transactions ive ever had...in the middle of a pandemic at that. Yes, they were a bit slow because of being backed up, but ultimately got my clear to close a week prior to closing, helping me to relax a bit. The CEO eddy even took the time to respond to me on a sunday. Highly recommend going through equity prime.

Great experience. They did an amazing job on a recent Streamline refinance. They were able to save me over $300/
month. Thanks Amanda and Tim for all your help you guys rock!
They recalled my loan which costed me…
They recalled my loan which costed me over 10 thousand in fees for financing through another lender so I could pay them off. It was very wrong. I never missed a payment and was in good standing.
Thank You
I am very happy to have found Equity Prime Mortgage, they were a great help! I was very confused with the entire process but they not only helped me with it all, I was also able to learn along the way. They handled all the paperwork, calls, absolutely everything. I highly recommend them ask for Mankell amazing work!
Best!
Mankell from Equity Prime Mortgage was very helpful! Such a professional company to work with, I was not only walked through along the entire process, but also learned a lot throughout the process. Very stress free experience thanks to Mankell!
The Worst Service and Very Many Errors
I have spent many weeks trying to rectify a number of errors that the local office and the corporate office has created - even the tax report was wrong. Save your sanity
Much more attentive lenders out there
Working with Will feels like working with Keanu Reeves in Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure . . . or working with some “surfer dude” on “island time.” Maybe he’ll get back to you, probably not. Maybe he’s got better things to do. Probably does. We spent an entire day putting together everything from social security cards to w-2s to bank statements. Not only did he not honor his response commitment, he simply never bothered to respond again. Ever. Left me wondering if we’d just had our information stolen. I’d avoid. Anyone who can’t make you feel like you’re the #1 customer and that their business depends on you doesn’t deserve it. This guy and operation fell WELL SHORT of that feeling for us.
If I could give 0 stars I would
If I could give 0 stars I would. I am so appalled by the practices of this mortgage company. We are the seller of a house and the buyer got a preapproval from them. Needless to say after 55 days under contract and 5 extensions they realized they never should have pre approved the buyer as he didn't qualify for the loan he was requesting. We didn't start getting communication from them until a week before the first closing date. They decided to extend the first closing date less than 24 hours before. During the whole process they would not return emails or phone calls unless numerous attempts where made. Who they have working for them are completely incompetent, rude, and unprofessional in every sense. Lina Morris and Christine Fonseca were horrible and hold no accountability for their delays and all the parties involved. They are very rude and unprofessional in what they would communicate to my realitor as well as to us. They consistently lied about where they were at in the process and would say things like "we are all set to close tomorrow." Then come tomorrow and another excuse and delay would come up. At one point they were asking for something on the house that had nothing to do with our house. They were searching for an excuse and reason they (other than the obvious that they should never have preapproved him in the first place) to come up with to blame the house and not their horrible poor business approach of approving people who can't afford the loan. They stoup as low as they then became deceitful in who we are speaking with via text message. Edgar Lozada gave us his cell phone and is supposedly the Manager of this branch and he assured us when he took over the file that it would be handled better and accordingly. Needless to say it didn't get much better. He was rude and made false promises as well. When I called to get an update on the cell phone he provided us, one of his associates answered and had been responding to our texts not Edgar, whom we thought was. When I confronted them about being deceitful who we were communicating too they became very threatening and even more rude, that I caught them lying. This process should not have taken 55 days costing the buyer an inspection fee and other associated costs on a house HE COULD NEVER AFFORD!!!! We also had to pay over $200 to have the HOA send over paperwork to them. Not to mention we informed our renters we were under contract and they had to vacate, assuming we would sell the house since the buyer had a PRE-APPROVAL FROM THEM!!! Un beknown to us that it was a falsified approval. This company holds no accountability for their actions and the deadline of a closing date. They cost us thousands of dollars and I don't want to know what they costs the buyer. I would be even more upset if I was the buyer. I am reviewing the laws and policies on accountability of Mortgage loan companies and filing whatever I can so they can be held accountable for the money they cost buyers and sellers during this process. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
Equity Prime is great
Equity Prime is great! Was a seamless process. Lori and the rest of the team were great and my 30 day closing was hassle free!
