I have attended the Mawney Road practice for many years. The new surgery is a lovely environment.
I have been receiving treatment from Saqib since April 2025, to straighten my teeth (Invisalign), replace 3 crowns and have some bonding for misshapen front teeth. The result is wonderful, giving me a smile to be proud of.
Saqib is very attentive, always professional and totally invested in getting the best outcome for his patients. He didn't rush appointments and he made me feel valued.
I would recommend anyone to book an appointment with Saqib, to discuss treatment options with him.
Great dentist and great dental surgery

I would just like to say I have been using this dentist since 2018 and have found them to be one of the best dentists around, considering I have a fear of dentists. Amrit Kasbia is my dentist and I would highly recommend him. He puts you at ease and you can talk to him. First class service.

Majority of the staff are amazing however the receptionist with dark hair and red lipstick is rude with a poor attitude. Makes you feel like you're inconveniencing her to do her job!

I have had nothing but trouble every time I’ve gone for a hygienist clean at this dental office. My first experience was particularly upsetting. I had an agency hygienist who was very rough and seemed frustrated because I wasn’t holding the suction machine right. There was no dental nurse, so I was left to manage it myself. I wasn’t aware I’d have to play makeshift dental nurse during my appointment, and he wasn’t thorough with the cleaning. He insisted I had deep stage periodontal disease around all my gums and urged me to book dentist appointments to discuss it and make a treatment plan. This was confusing and upsetting because I had just seen my dentist already before the hygienist appoint, who didn’t mention any serious issues or the periodontal around all of my gums, key word, All. Only slight concern at the back of my gums. I felt misled, especially since before I left my dentist appointment i I told her I want to take good care of my teeth amd gums and any other thing even small she should point out. She clarified to me that there is no serious issues and revealed to me that the hygienist I had seen was a dodgy hygienist and he was telling every patient he had that day that they had deep periodontal disease when they did not, which seemed very unprofessional.
I later received a phone call from the receptionists apologising and offering me a new free appointment, which I appreciated since I’ve been going to this practice since I was a child. The second appointment was better, with a dental nurse present, and the hygienist was good, which I thought was a positive change.

However, yesterday I booked another hygienist appointment , but this was not with the last hygienist of which I had a positive experience with. It was a new hygienist. I was disappointed to find out no dental nurse was present. Thankfully, the hygienist managed both roles herself. She was quite rough with the scaling but I thought that was a good thing. Unfortunately, today after lunch , my bottom right deep tooth filling fell out, and now I’m walking around with half a tooth. I’ve never experienced this before, and I believe the hygienist’s cleaning may have caused this damage. It seems like something is always off whenever I go for a hygienist clean here. I warn others to be cautious when booking their appointments. I called the practice to explain and was told they have limited emergency slots today and this week and closest day that works for both me and the practice is next week Monday. This has caused me extreme frustration because I have to attend work with a painful and sore back tooth and won’t be seen for 5+ days. I’m really worried that my tooth could get infected or worse if it’s not treated soon. After I get this sorted out, I can confidently say I will not be returning for hygienist cleanings at this place.

I am terrified of the dentist and have not been for 10 years, wow what an amazing place, quick appointment and also an NHS dentist , I had an amazing young Iranian dentist and he was so good, and I can honestly say it was painless, I would recommend this dentist to anyone xx

Paid £65 for a hygienist appointment that lasted only 15 minutes! And 5 minutes of that time was the hygienist explaining the basics of dental care to me. Avoid!

This organisation has several branches so just to be clear I am only talking about the Dagenham (Orchard Road) site. It appears a lot of money has recently been spent updating the surgery which has the welcoming effect of dumping the 1980s interior for a clean, modern look. Our family have used this surgery for many years and have seen several dentists over the decades. We are currently under the care of Dr Sara and all of us are very happy, including my adult son who, on the autism spectrum, finds any dental visit an unnerving thought. After years of neglect and teeth grinding Dr Sara suggested composite bonding as a solution for my damaged teeth. There was no sales pitch, no pressure and it certainly wouldn't affect my status as an NHS patient for normal treatment. The results have been very pleasing and more important, painless. A seriously nasty dental accident in my youth has me a nervous patient for life. I have no qualms about returning to Orchard Road or recommending them to my friends.

The dental practice is nice, waiting area clean, bright & fresh looking.
the dental practitioners seem to be young however they are efficient & professional.
The reception staff all just sit there chatting!
I stood there for a good minute or so while they finished their conversation!
Seriously I just stood there while they chatted??! clearly too many staff on reception … I WOULD EXPECT A BETTER PROFESSIONAL SERVICE.
Also the phone rings for ages before someone picks up & not always too professional answering to book appointments.

I am disgusted with this practice - avoid it especially if you are autistic or been victim of violent assault.

I had misfortune of dealing with a young female dentist who was clearly NOT trained on autism. She had no sympathy or understanding that I can NOT cope with a denture or having a gap in my mouth due to autism sensory issues.

To make matters worse, around this time I was attacked by a sexual predator sustaining multiple injuries, including to my mouth where my previously solid teeth were now wobbly and could not support bridge which was original goal.

She gave me bad tone of voice more than once and then did a weak referral to a dental hospital to consider me for implant, claiming I had 'demanded' the referral when it was the dental hospital itself that told my dentist to refer me to them!

Also in the referral, she had not only missed out vitally important information but completely put in a fabrication that I had NEVER said to her, I was very clear - this disgraceful referral has basically undermined my case to get help at dental hospital so I am in meltdown as stuck with a gap thanks to that spiteful dentist.

She knew my history of previous discrimination that led to homelessness and insolvency and depression, hence cannot afford private implant. So to undermine my referral and any chance of being considered on NHS is unbelievably spiteful.

To make matters worse, the practice manager had the audacity to quote their 'zero tolerance' policy to me when I had NEVER been rude, aggressive or threatening to their staff, especially the dentist in person.

The most that dentist saw was me crying due to autism. They have quoted that policy to me and told me to find another dentist! I gave practice manager a chance to pull the referral back and tell the hospital it was not accurate, then redo it CORRECTLY. But instead she is desperately trying to defend her dentist instead of facing their appalling failures!

They have shown NO sympathy or concern for a disabled person that has been attacked by a sexual predator. It is beyond unbelievable, they are supposed to be trained in both areas!

I have NEVER experienced anything like this with any dental practice before and lost a lot of trust now in general dentists. I am going to send them to the Health Ombudsman and General Medical Council over this and I have also had a conversation with the dental hospital my ‘referral’ was done with pointing out how they have undermined me and treated me.
