Last Fri I tried to use my Nectar Card at an Esso garage using points to get 5p off per litre. They said that the system was not accepting my card, so the 5p per litre was not taken off the total amount. On getting home, an e-mail from Nectar showed 300 points taken off. I phoned Esso and clearly explained what had occurred, they sent an e-mail requesting proof via the receipt (fair enough) receipt sent showing proof. Received a reply, that the points had already been put back on my card. I checked, they had not. The only points added were those earned for that days fill (my earlier phone call could not have been clearer, with the call taker Zine Eddine saying he fully understood). Sent another e-mail, not holding out much hope. If not sorted quickly, won't use Esso ever again.

In Canada I bought a 100 gift card for Esso stations for a gift and when the person used it it was not working.
I called Esso and they said not all Esso's except the gift cards so you need to try another one. So I asked if they can provide me the locations which one expects it. They said thay don't have the locations. I asked for a refund and they said they can't do that.
So future I will NEVER EVER buy another gift Card for gass again. I just lost 100.00

Two esso garages, ive paid for two jetwashes at,one not working,the other with no foam and no refund offered.Thats esso garages i will from now on take my custom elsewhere

App works fine up until saying payment method declined, registered two different cards with two different banks on it and still won't work, most useless app ever 😡

So the garage on Wellingboro Rd, Northampton closed in after contamination problems with the fuel. Six months later it re-opened, new canopy and pumps and everything. They bought some land at the back and expanded the site to. Thing is they had all this space to put in electrical chargers for cars but nothing? The space remains fairly empty. Is it to do with sparks and fuel dont mix or just cynical? I can understand why petro-giants dont want to get involved with net-zero as its detrimental to their business model but not ever one charger point for the staff? If garages are not going to provide for electric cars being mandated on us then who is?

Esso garage Milnrow, I pulled in with a warning light on my car for low tyre pressure. I’m a single mum and had my 2 kids in the car in bad weather. I have no idea what I’m doing with cars so asked if someone could assist me to fill the tyres. They basically came person there just told me to Google it and left us with no help. Tell me what is the point in manning these stations if no service is offered? Quite frankly I am appalled they just left me and my kids there with the issue.

I visited a Esso service station in Westbury on 25/12/24 at 21:15 to refuel my car. I filled £20 worth of diesel and proceeded to pay at the till. Trusting it to be a straightforward transaction, I didn’t double-check the price presented, as I was tired and never expected an issue.

Later at home, I received a bank notification showing I had been charged £35 instead of £20. This discovery left me disappointed and frustrated. I want to remind others to stay vigilant and double-check transactions, especially when dealing with unfamiliar service stations. Transparency and trust are essential in customer service.

First time I have been in this station and I am fascinated will all the items here. First I want to give a big compliment to Connor for all his help and very nice personality! I feel he is very efficient and he helps the customer in a very assertive and proficient way. Very nice to talk to and has a very nice nature about him. The hot food counter folk are terrific too. Very easy to use the fuel pumps and other associated accessories, air water units are very convenient and all is organised brilliantly! I had a very nice experience at this lovely station and shop! Highly recommend this establishment!

As a disabled couple with debilitating illness, we are unfortunate to be affected by a power cut affecting 90 houses in our area. Therefore, I asked our eldest son to buy some calor gas for us, in order to keep warm. Unfortunately, our normal outlet was closed, so he googled outlets in the area and came across an Esso garage in Penllergaer, 4 Swansea Rd., SA4 9AQ. He asked the chap in the garage for the refill, this lad then went into the back office to speak to someone, therefore, there were two members of Staff on site, and asked my son to come back when it was less busy. Bearing in mind that there was no-one in the shop or on the forecourt. My son informed him that there was no-one on the forecourt and explained that his disabled parents were freezing so the lad said OK he would come out. My son went to the car, got the gas cylinder out and waited around for about 10 minutes, realising there was no-one coming to his aid, he left and went elsewhere. The fuel station he next went to had one lone woman in it who said it was not an issue and served him. For shame on you Esso as a company employing Ambassadors for your business such as these. Disability is a very much discussed topic and with able bodied people in your employ such as this, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

This is a poor app. It hardly ever works as it should.

Recently it keeps demanding that I download the latest update but I cannot do so as I have a pre-iPhone-operating-system (iOS) 16 iPhone, so it has become useless.

This is incompetent on Esso’s part.

Also, the app opens with a page bearing a bossy message telling the user to use their mobile phone responsibly. This is both Insulting and patronising.

Come on, Esso.

Every Esso gas station that has a Circle K in it I go get a large polar pop and your cubed ice machines are not working at every location that I’ve been to East Gwillimbury, Newmarket, Richmond Hill, Bradford

Just been to Esso seven kings was asked to pay first card declined so paid in cash the arrogant guy behind the counter threw the money back at me and it was windy and had to stop it flying off silly man I’ve been using this station for years when I bring my rolls Royce fleet at night never a problem as I run a wedding business just disgraced with this guy’s behaviour disgusting individual I don’t loose my rag usually but this guy actually made me very angry but still walked away will talk to Vemka next time I see her as this guy will himself in trouble the way he treats people not fit to run a petrol station at night let alone the day seriously this new guy needs training or a new job

Eventually Esso gave in and provided the bonus points promised but not provided, but only after they had been threatened with Trading Standards. They they had the cheek to call them 'Goodwill Points'. Real goodwill would have provided points to make up for those out of which I was cheated last year. They are thoroughly dishonest; the message is to keep all vouchers and keep battering them.

Mate do you think it’s acceptable to walk around with a leaf blower at full throttle at 6am and also 9 at night after hours disturbing us all with children who in bed next time this one’s getting reported to the council

Totally unreliable app...will it work in my local Esso garage...no, it did last week....will my points show up...will the bonus points show up... will I have to write and complain , again (7 times to date)
And now, the latest upgrade no points shown at all, on either receipt.
Bunch of idiots whoever wrote the App.
Will Esso take any notice....of course not.

Abi at the oundle esso garage is so rude, terrible customer service

Constantly running out of gas. Everything in the store is wildly overpriced (probably because they aren't selling gas). Something is very wrong.
