OK, so this is a tyre place. They do MOT's. Why? - To sell more tyres!!!
Our local garage closed so looked for somewhere else local to have our cars MOTed. Car had dealer health check, all OK. Failed as tyres down to the wire. Luckily I had a spare wheel & tyre at home, so could replace it, no problem. Got the faulty tyre back which looked fine. No visible damage.
A week later, different car, exactly the same fault on the same side. Coincidence? Took it to a 3rd Party to be replaced. Yep, you guessed it, they said there was nothing wrong with them. We won't be using them again, that's for sure.

Ordered 2 tyres order confirmed, called for fitting time to suit both parties , tyres fitted tracking checked good price excellent staff would reckomend to everyone .

Fantastic service! I broke down on the M50 with a flat tyre, and RAC had to put their spare tyre on to get me to a garage, phone this garage up and explained I had broken down, the said they can sort it and to get there as soon as I can, when I arrived.. within half an hour my tyre was changed and at a really reasonable price!!

Hinckley Branch…. great efficient service as always. Fitted new tyre today and didn’t have to wait long at all. Well done Tim & staff & enjoy the choccies!

Booked online for a 4-tyre purchase & fit-in (AM anytime), and an MOT (0900 slot) for 12/09/2024. Went to the shop (ETB Wythall) at 0900 which took me 30mins from my place to there, was told by the Manager that my tyres were still on the way and would be arriving on or before 1200. Disappointed but still managed to return to the shop at 1200 as instructed.

Everything was done around 1hr which was impressive. However, since I was in a rush, all the disappointment and disaster happened when I parked my car have a look with the tyres, and checked the MOT online.

1. MOT done twice: The first failed due to tyre tread issues, and the second passed without any problems or advisory. Extremely ridiculous since I did book for an all-tyre change and still caused an unnecessary failure record.

2. All tyres were left full of tyre fitment chemicals: Not understandable as I was expecting a professional tyre shop should clean this up as part of the service.

3. Valve Dust Cap: One of my original Lexus valve dust caps was replaced with a plastic cap. This detail matters, especially when I now have to pay £5.33 to replace it.

I expected much better from ETB given their reputation.

Extremely disappointing experience overall.

When you receive a quote that has both a minimum and maximum amount how on Earth can it be possible for it to be even higher? The operative at ETB Fishponds seemed stunned by my annoyance and explained that the oil used is extremely expensive. That’s why I asked for a quote. They knew the exact car model, the mileage and service required .This is completely unacceptable , misleading and terrible customer service.

The most ignorant, female unfriendly garage I have ever visited!! went to the Bridgnorth Branch (on foot) to order some replacement registration plates. I walked passed the technicians and waited in reception for 10 minutes whilst the technicians finished smoking. When someone finally decided to serve me, I was initially told that they don't do plates and to go to Bennets. I explained that I was walking and he said he would order them for me for the next day and would ring me. My husband went in the next day to find out what time they would be ready, only to be told that they had no idea what he was talking about! He gave them the registration number and was told "oh, I wondered why that was written down! I couldnt remember what was supposed to be ordered!" Here's hoping they never have to deal with an emergency!!

Excellent service at the Hinckley branch, the guy on reception, sorry didn’t get your name, was very helpful, polite and friendly, the guys in fitting did a first class job. Very reasonably priced. I will definitely use this company again.

Been using ETB in Lydney for 10 years. No issues until I took my car in for a service, in fact sometimes they’ve really helped me out and have gone above and beyond. However, booked a service a week in advance and was told there was no record of the entry. No apology, no suggestion of trying to fit my car in at another time or at another site. No acknowledgment that I’m a regular customer. Even when I showed evidence of the call the previous week I got no apology, just a flat refusal to help. They’ve now lost a loyal customer.

They totally ripped me off and didn’t even fix the problem. Charged a fortune for tests and suggested more tests needed at an extra cost. Took it to another garage who didn’t charge me for any tests at all, just fixed the problem and charged a small fee for time ontop of parts. I’d already spent £150 at ETB (Cardiff) for literally nothing, but got it fixed in a couple of hours at the other garage for £60…I wish I’d taken it there first!

Really Helpful, we were away and not from the area, dropped in with a tyre in nail, helped us straight away with a quick and easy service.

Took car to Fishponds depot for mot, friendly and helpful staff, would recommend this garage to family and friends

Took my Alfa Romeo into the Winchester branch for a squeaky front brake, work was carried out with no issues. Initial visit didn’t resolve the issue. Followed up with another visit, the garage ended up triggering a braking warning light on the car disabling traction control and ABS rendering it pretty much undriveable. Not further assistance was offered and I had to take the car myself to Alfa. Contacted ETB head office, no response, asked for the regional manager to call me, no response. Visited the branch, they refused to pay for the warning light reset. Its not so much the issue of paying for the reset, it was how I was dealt with as a customer that’s my issue with this company. The blame was put on me. I suggest you use a company that values customer service. Avoid ETB. Oh, my brakes still squeak.

Great group of mechanics in the Tamworth garage, good advice is given, and nothing is too much trouble. Can thoroughly recommend them. I would never go anywhere else. Prices are really good too.

Very efficient and friendly service from ETB, Bude. Had a problem with my exhaust whilst on holiday. The ETB guy advised that the rubber mounts were missing and found a spare set which he fitted straight away. Much appreciated, thank you!

First use of ETB Autocentre at Billacombe road in Plymouth, took my car for some pre MOT work, not booked in, fortunately they saw me straight away and were able to do all the work requested quicky, professionally and to a high standard. They took good care of my car well and used covers inside when they were inside it. They went out of their way to reassure me and even gave me a lift back home( I didn't live too far away) so I didn't have to wait around. And to top it off the cost was extremely competitive. The manager is doing a good job there.

Brought a battery of ETB a couple of years ago. Yesterday it wouldn’t start the car. Checked the receipt and it was still in warranty. Jump started the car and went down stourport ETB. They checked it, and replaced the battery.

Replaced tyre where needed and gave our car a summer service for a very reasonable price and in good time. Very helpful and polite so we’ve used ETB for several years now.
