Lost my order, didn't care

I ordered my shoes and shirt on Thanksgiving. It's now December 13th. I never received a tracking number or shipment confirmation. "Its Black Friday" I thought. I was patient. 9 days later I sent an email asking for an update and got shipping info the next day. These guys clearly lost my order. I still don't have it. The only correspondence has all been automated, even after I complained about not getting an apology or explanation. There are plenty of other shoe companies who actually care about the customer. I'm 100% done with etnies, es, thirty-two and emerica.

Never received my last order

Never received my last order after getting an email from Etnies claiming the item had shipped with a non-working USPS tracking #. Waited 3 days USPS still had no information. I emailed Etnies several times and 4 days later. I get a reply claiming they've had issues with USPS not showing any info but "most" items arrived within 2wks. They expect customers to believe this and wait 2wks while knowing their order will not arrive. I contacted USPS who confirmed what information Etnies gave me wasn't correct and Etnies only created a label, but never gave it to USPS. After emailing Etnies again to inform them of what USPS confirmed. Several days later Etnies reply still claiming the same story and offering no help. USPS stated they had no issue with their tracking information not working. USPS also stated the package would've been scanned at their local sorting facility along with each facility along the way and should've arrived by now. It was clear at this point Etnies never shipped my item..But I hoped Etnies would do the right thing and actually ship my item out. Instead they just ignore my emails. Now bare in mind I had just received my 2nd order from Etnies that shipped by USPS with a working tracking # that arrived 5 days after USPS received it. But this order has reached 10 days with no information on a package that would've been here days ago. But Etnies offered zero help from the beginning after taking my money. They have very poor customer service and clearly scam customers in several different ways. This was also a Christmas gift as well. I'm disputing this charge first thing Monday morning, Dec 1st making it 11 days since Etnies claimed it had shipped with no tracking information. I guess I just got lucky on my first 2 orders although the amount of money was less than this order. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well.. Companies like this need shutdown. Taking people's money while giving them the runaround causing a lot of unnecessary stress and time. Along with holding up people's money right here at Christmas while waiting on the charge to be disputed.

Terrible company

Terrible company! My husband bought me some trainers from the website but when they arrived they didn’t fit. We have tried to contact them 5 or 6 times now to try and get details of how to return them and get a refund. They have totally ignored us. I’m not sure what to do now as the shoes are useless to us and Etnies seem to be ignoring us. They shouldn’t be trading online if they do not have a robust returns service!! I’ve never known a company like it- avoid them at all costs!!!

I bought a pair of Etnies shoes from Schuh (UK) website and they started splitting along the canvas within one week. Instead I got a reply saying contact the supplier. No interest in the fact their product had fallen apart so quickly. Upon reading the reviews here I can now see they are probably perfectly aware of their quality issues. I’ve learnt my lesson though, first and last time I buy Etnies.

Filtering is a joke

This website is only good if you like browsing every shoe style and color to find your size. The filters appear to give the option of showing the color and size you're looking for, but when going to the product page, you'll find that the size you wanted isn't in stock. Plus, only garbage looking shoes or random sizes are available and on sale. This has been my experience for the past year - prior to that, prices and selection were good.

Delay in shipping and incompetent customer services.

Never assume because they are a well known brand name that the shopping experience with Etnies will be reliable and efficient! I assumed this and chose to buy the trainers I wanted direct from them rather than another site with cheaper shipping. It's been a terrible experience. Customer services have been incompetent and though apologetic for the "stress and confusion" they admit to causing me and the delay in shipping from their warehouse "outside of their usual dispatch window". They say,"That kind of hold-up isn’t the standard we aim for, and we apologize for the inconvenience". However, they will not refund my shipping costs or help me in any way! Don't buy from them!

Now they’re lying about giving away free shoes when you buy accessories. I got an email on this today, had a look and it turns out (massive surprise), you need to buy shoes and get a free accessory (or whichever is cheaper which is clearly the accessory…) horrible people.

Terrible customer service.

Terrible customer service.
PayPal accidentally overrode my address with an old address and I contacted them before the goods left and they wouldn't update.
I spent three days working with usps and they said etnies could have updates from their business account from the start.
I like the shoes but their customer service was so shit.
I ended up having to find someone who lives in LA to intercept them off the doorstep. Usps would only take the update from the shipper and etnies kept respind8ng I had to deal with it.
I know I should have double checked the address in the first place but they were no help at all. Not skating etnies again after this batch.

Beware of this thieving company- working with Niedecker.

Beware of this company! Caveat emptor.
They forcefully shipped mistakenly bought goods, I returned them intact, and they refused to refund me in bad English, all the while keeping my money and returned goods at the same time. Dishonest and thieving company. Had to fight them via Paypal to get my money back, won eventually. Awful.

They do their best to not give refunds

They really just don't want to do refunds. The package that I sent back to them was returned to me because the customs forms that THEY emailed me wouldn't work. This is a cut and paste of their response to me:

Thank you for reaching out and sorry to hear that your shipment got returned back to you.

All your described problems have nothing to do with us; we are not Dutch customs and can't do anything about their procedures.
We have also nothing to do with your shipment back to us from the UK, you need to arrange your own return shipment.
We have many returns from the UK without any issues but it could be that duties need to be paid.

Please do not use Royal Mail but use couriers like UPS instead.

I got a new pair of Ernie’s about 4…

I got a new pair of Etnies about 4 months ago and the bottom of the right shoe has almost completely come off, it looks like a giant tongue and the other side is starting to fall apart to. Would not recommend they are cheaply made shoes.

Illegal return policy

Got the shoes, tried the shoes, didn't fit and had to return. They refused the return (which is illegal) on the grounds that there was a bit of dirt on the sole. Tried multiple times to get them to obey the law, got only canned responses back. Do not order from here.

in response to reply, which came after a year and a half: The shoes weren't worn, like I said, they didn't fit. BUT! even if they were, your policy does not trump law. If you want to rectify this and give me a refund, you have my number.

Absolutely terrible quality and customer service

Ordered 2 hoodies. 1 green with orange logo and one black with white logo. Both hoodies were supposed to be large. They both showed up with large tags, however 1 was twice the size of the other. Also, the green one showed up with a black logo and ripped as soon as I attempted to put it on. Customer service offered me 10% off my next purchase. That’s it. 10%!!! I have been buying their clothing for over 20 years, and there is absolutely no way in hell I will ever give them business again. Terrible company with even worse customer service.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

I am not the type to ever leave a “sorry” review, but I couldn’t help but share my frustrating experience may could help someone else avoid this. I seen they had a “Black Friday” deal, so I ordered a pair of shoes on 11/27/23. Tried contacting the company 12/1/23– no such thing as “customer service” none of their numbers listed are even a functioning line. Never got any updates, so I gave up currently just got finished disputing this transaction through my bank. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Don’t fall for it.

I will add my vote to the hundreds of others. DO NOT ORDER from Etnies. They look like a UK company. You place an order. Order takes forever to despatch. If you try to cancel owing to despatch delays - you are told they cannot be cancelled. The order arrives - shoes are hard and horrible. And oh great - they ONLY have offices in the Netherlands. So I'm getting returns quotes of £22 to £26 for UK to Netherlands shipping. There is NOTHING on their shoe page, or their ordering page to advise you of this. I complained to them. They just resend you the shipping process which "clearly" states Netherlands. It clearly isn't clear - because I like hundreds of others had NO idea. THEIR COMPANY POLICY IS DISGUSTING.

Avoid Etnies: A Disastrous Experience and Stolen Money

My experience with Etnies turned out to be a complete nightmare and so appalling that I strongly urge everyone to stay away from this company if they value their time, money, and sanity. I ordered a pair of Etnies shoes online, only to have the transaction fail to process. Frustrated but still hopeful, I decided to give them another chance and placed a second order and the transaction went through. I realized that I had unintentionally ordered two pairs of shoes. I immediately reached out to Etnies' customer support to cancel one of the orders and request a refund through phone and email. After over a year of contacting customer service, I still never received the refund for the canceled pair. It gets even worse. As if pocketing my hard-earned money wasn't enough, Etnies failed to deliver the pair of shoes that I actually wanted to keep. The company has failed to get back to me, leaving me empty-handed and short-changed, with no explanation or apology. They effectively stole $200 from me. It's beyond comprehension how a supposedly reputable brand could display such blatant disregard for their customers. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Etnies at all costs. There are plenty of other reputable skateboarding shoe companies out there that actually care about their customers. Don't make the mistake I did—shop elsewhere and protect yourself from this appalling company's thievery and incompetence. If I could give them less than one star, I would.
