I didn't have any problem to pickup and delivery of the vehicle at Billund airport. The vehicle was in very good conditions which exceeded my expectations.

Easy no hassle pickup, bit of a trek to where the cars were parked but probably only 5 to 10 mins.
Nice car, very clean.
Return was easy and just dropped keys off at the desk back in the terminal. Bit concerned there was no one in the parking lot to check the car over on return as personally I like to know it has been checked before I leave but fortunately it was OK anyway.

Great experience - good selection of cars. Pick up was smooth and I was upgraded to a larger car. During the rental I did not have any issues at all, the car had been perfectly serviced prior to rental - even the "Pay by Plate" worked fine. Return was easy and fast.

Use Europcar every time I visit family in Denmark. Good website, price and service at airport. The customer service person at the airport this time was just so nice, which made me write this review. He seemed genuinely enthusiastic about his job and was friendly and very personable.

I was a bit afraid after hearing the horror stories/reviews and experience of other renters with car rental companies. However, with Europecar, it was a great experience in terms of both pickup and return of the car.

Would certainly use it again in future and recommend it to others.

We recently rented a car at Copenhagen Airport. Europcar's customer service was a shambles from start to finish.
(1) On the day of arrival, our late evening flight was going to be delayed, and we were concerned that we might not make it to the car rental counter before closing time. We celled them up, and they promised to email us details of how pick up the car keys from a box outside the office. We waited a couple of hours for those details, and finally had to call not only Europcar's central customer service dept., but also the Airport rental counter, in order to finally get the details just as we were about to leave for the airport.
(2) When we arrive at the car rental just before closing time, the (very young) staff were quite rude when we went up to the counter instead of just picking up the car directly. They also wouldn't give us a copy of the rental agreement, which they said would be emailed to us. It never was, despite the fact that we contacted them during the rental period to chase it up.
(3) After we returned the car, in the state in which we'd received it, Europcar charged c. £40 to my partner's credit card, with no explanation given. When he contacted them to find out what this was for, they said they couldn't tell him without the ID of rental agreement (which they'd never sent us, despite having been chased). He did quote both the rental voucher ID and the car license plate no. + the rental dates, but to no avail. After he threatened them with the credit card company, they promised - in writing - to return the money within a few days. That didn't happen, so he contacted them again and was told that they needed his bank details so they could transfer the money. This was despite the fact that he had been asked to enter his credit card details into their online system in order to be able to pick up the car keys directly from the box. Several days after providing these details (again), he had still not been refunded. When contacted, Europcar claimed they couldn't refund the money without the rental agreement ID. (Recall that they'd never sent us the rental agreement, despite having been chased.)
He has now had to ask the credit card company to intervene and reverse the charges.
This procedure of charging a relatively modest amount of money, which people might not notice, and then putting all sorts of spurious obstacles in their way if they do notice and ask for a refund, does ring alarm bells.
Avoid renting from Europcar Denmark if you can!

We decided to rent a car from Europcar because we expected they would offer good services, but we were dissappointed.
Firstly, we paid a high deposit for a car and afterwards we had to pay another high amount, despite the fact we mentioned in the damaged document that the car was scratched by another driver and we didn’t even know about small scratches on the car.
Secondly, the communication with the company was very dissapointing because we waited more than a month for an answer regarding the deposit.
Finally, after paying for the scretches on the car we received another email with new payment, so they obviously have a chaos in the company.
I will not recommend this company and never use their services again in the future.

The best car rental I have done business with. No extra fees, no trying to get me to pay extra or claiming that I damaged the car or such as I have experienced with other car rentals.
The staff is kind and always want to help me the best they can. I exclusively rent cars from Europecar now.
