Excellent service at pick up at central Copenhagen, easy return.
Excellent service. But instructions and directions to car pick up could be a lot better. A number of us could not find the collection point and had to return to the office for better instructions - a real pain after a long day and especially given the collection point was poorly lit, it was late at night and the weather wasn't the best. Directions easily rectified for that extra star and hope to see them on my next visit soon..
Great customer service. Very helpful and friendly.
I got a great rental car. Cupra. Was very funny to drive.
Looking forward to my next visit in Copenhagen.
Thank you very much Europcar 👍

Yeees, excelent. Loading/charge cable was missing, that is only issue.

Very friendly and helpful approach at Europcar at Billund Airport. The original hire car from another provider wasn't available, but Europcar could help immediately with a solution.

The agent was very accommodating when an automatic was requested. Pick up and after hours drop off were both very smooth. Will definitely rent again!!!

I am frequent customer, usually used Europcar services in Europe. In April I made a big mistake using Europcar in Denmark!!! You have to know that they hold your deposit money for a long time, at least 10 days or even more. If you have any misunderstanding with parking, they never give you any explanation or arguements, only sending documents in Danish without explanations. Additionally they put a huge amount of so called administration fee, that is more than 50% of parkingfee amount! Nor proper communication, neither explanations. This is a kind of money-trap for tourists!
P.S. After 2 days of constant negotiations from my side and also with the help of Europcar Estonia also communicating with their danish colleagues they finally cancelled the administration fee.

Have used Europcar for 15 years and have nothing but praise for their friendly and accommodating customer service, efficient check-in/out, cleanliness of the hired car.

The given car was a bit dusty inside. First time I have seen this in a rental car. Make sure you do not want to extend for a 2 days more. I asked since my mum is sick at the hospital.
2 days = 240€ I paid 158€ for a week coming from Spain. Delivered it back since I felt it was a unreasonable price.

Generally a great experience as always with Europcar. However, the introduction of a handling fee of kr375 for a Bilkabule caused by another person is tarnishing the overall customer experience.

Car was good but the customer service was appalling (Copenhagen). When we picked up the car the man at the service desk couldn't care less about customer service and didn't explain anything (including the clock on the windscreen which isn't a thing in the UK). No details about return but when we did return we got a ticket when we filled up the car because we didn't amend the clock on windscreen. Asked desk and the young man was very rude and sarcastic, very unhelpful. Expecting lots of additional costs and already paid 795 DK due to their lack of customer service (in the fine). Awful, avoid.

I rented a car for the day at Gammel Kongevej. The car was great, the booking easy, good price, and overall a great experience. Until I had to deliver it back.
When I picked it up I told them that I was delivering it back at night after closing hours. No problem. When the time came I looked at the papers they had given me, and should probably have taken a closer look, because there was NO clarification whatsoever of how to return the car. All the phone numbers on the paper that I could call were only open during office hours, so they were no help. No information on their website either.
I ended up finding the non-existing solution in another frustrated customer's comments on TrustPilot - that be that there wasn't a solution. I knew how to deliver back the keys, but had no idea where to drop off the car since it's in inner Copenhagen city, and there're NO available spots and have any idea how far away I could park since this information wasn't too be found anywhere.
This end to an otherwise great experience was super frustrating especially when you can see that others have had the same issue, and they haven't followed up on it.
I ended up not finding a place to park, drove home that luckily was close by, parked there for the night, and went there again at 6.30 in the morning before the agreed time of return when people have left their parking spots. Obviously not an ideal solution.

I thought to have a nice rental deal, a Fort Focus for 3 days in total €115. But when I picked up the car in Copenhagen, december 2021, they charged me an extra €75 because I needed to rent winter-tires. I made a complaint with Europcar.DK, but they showed no understanding. So I felled ripped off! What I didn't expect in Denmark, a decent country.

When you order and pay for a Mercedes A class or similar you expect to get a Mercedes A class or similar and not a VW T-Cross. No refund or discount was given. This is the last time I book from Europcar.

It's been a nightmare! Once they get your deposit, they rip you apart with all sorts of fees and taxes, never mentioned before renting.
I rented a car from Aalborg Airport to Copenhagen. As suggested by them, I did it online with pre-booked pick up from the airport (as they said that the store in the city center was closed), paid and received a receipt.
The receipt reported "Aalborg" as both pick up and delivery point, despite I selected and confirmed the other locations mentioned above before proceeding with the payment.
Once at the airport, the employee told me that he would have corrected that with no problems.
He did not say anything else.
Days after delivering the car back, I got a receipt from them charging me for 1000 DKK more as many "extras" were suddenly added up: airport fees, airport parking (?), so-called "OneWay fee", and "Extra km fee" (doubled).
1) Basically they forced me to pick up the car at the airport, and then added up all sorts of fees for it without warning me at any moment.
2) They claimed that online renting was the cheapest solution, but it was just a scam to extort more money later on.
3) I complained but, of course, I received nothing but squared replies.
4) I was never warned about anything. And clearly it was not a coincidence...
Avoid them if you don't want bad surprises in your bank account.

Att: Europecar Italy and their international customer service department.
I must say that the experience turned out to be a very negative one: When we received the car we noticed a damage that was not on the form, which we informed your staff who said ‘that it didn’t matter’ and didn’t seem to care. We filmed the damage upon arrival just in case.
When we returned the car, your employee wrote down the damage, which I told him was there to begin with. He agreed with me and assured me that it was only documented for internal purposes and we did not have to pay anything for it. He even swore on his name, and told me that I could sign and not to worry. I did sign, naively believing your employee.
Then I received the invoice with the damage on that I have to pay for - simply not ok.
After communicating with a very unhelpful person on the phone from Naples, who barely spoke English and hung up on me once while talking, I wrote you emails with the video and pictures explaining why I do not want to pay for more than the rental. I got a response that I should have reported the damage when we received the car and they charged me the amount. Now they are not responding and I have paid money for a damage that I did not make, that I tried to report and we even showed evidence of it, which was ignored.
This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with a service provider

09-09-2020 UPD Throughout the 3-months duration of our micro-lease the service has been good and pretty responsive. We've decided to extend the lease for one month and were assured it's possible at no extra fees, besides the usual monthly fee.

02-07-2020 As recommended and referenced by my colleague, I've booked a car for a 3-months micro leasing a few months ahead. The experience via the web went smoothly.
I was charged two monthly fees, one of which was a deposit (paid online in advance with my MasterCard). So far, so good.
When tried to call Europcar a few days prior to picking up the car enquiring on whether I could possibly adjust the agreement, e.g. buy more km's, I was told that it was no longer possible online (or at all), since the service was discontinued due to the high demand. Fair enough.
Upon picking up the car, I was asked to provide the details of my credit card (again) on a paper form to provide Europcar with a proxy that should I keep the car longer than the agreed date, they could charge my credit card. I told the clerk that I have already done so online, and that it wasn't the safest way of sharing the CC details but after consulting with her supervisor she assured me that they'd shred that paper afterwards. Well...
Then I got a car, it was beautiful... on the outside. And inside it was totally dirty, pretty disgusting (incl. cat hair all over the trunk - a paradise for my husband who's got an allergy on cat hair!) and not corona-friendly at all. I expressed my dissatisfaction but was assured that the cleaning has just been done. Ha! So, I insisted on cleaning on the spot, it was bearable but no one touched the trunk, so the car hair is still there...
To be continued...
