Car service and follow up work

I had a service here and then had some follow up work done. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Booking in was easy and reminders were sent to me prior to each appointment. Estimates were given prior to the work being done.

A very good Sales Representative

My Son collected his new car yesterday , a BYD Seal U Comfort, from Evans Halshaw Mansfield. We had visited the showroom on Saturday to look at the hybrid electric plugins, and they could not have been more helpful. Tommy, the Sales Representative, answered all of our questions, and took my Son and hubby out for a teat drive. He was polite and very knowledgeable about the cars, and made the whole purchase very smooth. They say a car is the next purchase down from buying a house, but this was far less stressful. Thank you Tommy and BYD Mansfield.

Really straightforward

I’ve just bought a new car and honestly had such a good experience. Tommy was brilliant from the moment I walked in — really patient, easy to talk to, and great at explaining everything in a way that actually made sense. He laid out all the options clearly, never pushed me toward anything, and gave me plenty of time to think things over.

I recently had the misfortune to enter their branch in Mansfield. I'd spotted a few used Nissan Micras in group stock I was interested in. After half an hour of filling out forms, then receiving an offer of £100 for my old car I walked out. In my opinion the offer was them saying, we don't have time for you. Go away. They had a bad name in the 80s, nothing has changed.

After years of buying cars

After years of buying cars, I've found the whole experience at Evans Halshaw BYD Mansfield to be one of the best. Even thought the dealership is going through a major refit, the staff were very welcoming and I have nothing but praise for Tommy, who went above and beyond to look after me. Within days we had completed a deal and I drove off with a big smile in my new car. Thank you Tommy for looking after me.

I initially left a positive review as I thought id recieved great service. It turns out that once a sale has been made, they speak to you like your a moron or just completely ignore you all together. I bought the car online and soon realised its not suitable for my needs and its actually far to heavy. I've started the unwind process as im entirely entitled to do only to be met by complete black out and being told that basically I have no rights and im not entitled to just drive around for a week to decide if I like it or not!!!!! Absolutely disgusting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AVOID AT ALLL COSTS!!!!!!!

BYD Mansfield - POOR

BYD Mansfield — A faulty car can happen, but the real test is how a dealership handles it. Unfortunately, the after‑sales support and customer service reflected the car’s own reliability, safety, and roadworthiness: consistently poor. Emails went unanswered, promised calls never materialised, and I was passed from one representative to another with no ownership or resolution. Friendly smiles at the start, smoke and mirrors by the end. Right to reject now enacted.

Took deposit but car not available

28/2 - replied by e-mail but ignored, typical of the awful service or lack of ANY service.
Traveled over 50 miles, car was still in preparation. Took our deposit with a promise to phone us within 24/48 hours.
No call received, we phoned the garage, BYD Mansfield, to be informed "a fault has been found" it won't be available for at least 3 weeks.
Obviously we were not willing to wait.
Sure they had sold the car to someone else, they could not even be bothered to call us.
