Went for service and i raised 2 faults with the car had car for 2 days and said everything was done the faults were not done at all so i rang service department next working day and was ringing in all for 5 hours and 2 hours the next day. In the end i had to physically go to the garage. I raised the concern about phone situation and the faults and he said were not answering the phone because of a recall on some cars no apologies just ignorant. He also assumed that work needed would not be covered by warranty so i will be contacting motability to raise this concern after this auful experience in 2 months i am due to change car with motability but guess what it will not be with another peugeot disgusting customer service

Very expensive compared to regular repair shops. I wasn't happy that my wheel locking nuts were left rolling about on the front seat instead of putting them back inside the plastic case which they had broken. Also, my service book was left just thrown on the seat instead of putting it back in its folder! Just hope the work on my car has been done properly but I have no way of knowing that. Just losing confidence in this dealership!

Got a lovely car in great condition however paint was splashed on my car down a substantial area between purchase and collection. This shouldn't happen and should be spotted at preparation. I will wait to see how long/if this will be put right. Very pushy with added extras but I guess this is part of their job.
No admin charges unlike some other dealerships so that is a plus. Place had lots of choice and sales advisers friendly. Showroom clean and tidy.

My experience with Evans Halshaw Citroen Peugeot Doncaster regarding a recent car purchase has been incredibly disappointing and is now escalating towards legal action due to the company's complete disregard for consumer rights.
On 22nd May 2025, I purchased a Citroen C3 1.2 Pure Tech PLUS Euro 6 (s/s) for £12,991.00 plus additional policies. This car was advertised on Autotrader as having one previous owner, yet upon receiving the V5 document, it clearly stated it had three previous owners. This is a blatant misrepresentation and significantly impacts the car's future resale value.
What is even more concerning is that we have since learned the dealership was aware of pre-existing starting issues with this very vehicle. We understand a previous lady had bought the car, experienced starting problems, and the dealership agreed to buy it back from her. Why was this not fixed, and why was the car then sold to me with these unresolved defects? The fact that your sales advisor emailed us an alternative C3 just 6 days after our purchase agreement strongly suggests the original problem was never resolved and resurfaced during the car's servicing (which we note was outside the recommended warranty period).
Since taking ownership, I have personally experienced the car failing to start on 5 separate occasions. This confirms that the fundamental defect remains unresolved and the vehicle is not reliable.
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 ('CRA') clearly states that a car dealer must supply a vehicle that is 'as described,' of 'satisfactory quality,' and 'fit for purpose.' Due to the misrepresentation regarding previous owners and the persistent, unresolved starting defects, this vehicle does not meet these conditions, putting Evans Halshaw in breach of contract.
Crucially, as these significant defects occurred within 30 days of purchase, I am legally entitled to reject this vehicle and demand a full refund of the purchase price. I formally requested this in a letter on 15th June 2025, sent directly to D***** M********* expecting payment within 14 days.
Despite a previous complaint letter on 5th June to Sales Manager C********** S*********** (who has failed to respond or return calls), and a message sent via Eva Halshaw's online website on 12th June (with a promised call on 15th June that never materialised), the company has utterly failed to address this critical issue.
I demand an immediate resolution and full refund within the specified timeframe. Please be advised that if this matter is not resolved within twenty-eight days from my letter of 15th June 2025, I will have no alternative but to commence legal proceedings to recover all losses incurred and will also be reporting your business to Trading Standards and the Motor Ombudsman.
This highly unsatisfactory experience, marked by misrepresentation and a failure to uphold consumer rights, makes me strongly advise others to exercise extreme caution when dealing with this dealership.
NOTE - FULL MANAGERS NAMES HAVE NOW **** OUT, AS THE COMPANY WANTED MY FEEDBACK REMOVED AS I HAD GIVEN MANAGERS NAMES! MAYBE THEY SHOULD BE MORE INTERESTED IN TREATING CUSTOMERS FAIRLY AS PER CUSTOMERS LEGAL RIGHTS!

I was served by a kind and helpful man called Ben at Evans Halshaw, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly and answered all my questions with patience and clarity. Ben also managed to get me a great discount on my car cover and secured a brilliant price for the car itself. His customer service was outstanding from start to finish. Highly recommend!

Ben spent the time to listen to my needs and understand what I wanted out of my new car. He showed me how to use the electrics as they were different to my old car and as I’m changing to hybrid offered me 2 test drives (on the day of looking at car and on collecting) to get used to this.

Friendly and helpful staff - Ben was amazing at finding a car in budget fitting my families needs.
