Purchased a used car from Evans Halshaw Burnley in 2018 ,it is a 2015 Nissan Qashqai, 1.2 petrol, all well but did notice around 2019/20 it used more oil than our other cars in the past. In 2021 we broke down on a busy road ,it just juddered to a halt, it was 6yrs old and done around 62300 miles. A short time later we found out unexpectedly that there was a Nissan forum on engine failures. Ours was the vin number that was affected, apparently due to piston problems that ours had can cause damage (bores) . We got in touch with Evans Halshaw Burnley Easton rd and Nissan .E Halshaw , they said nothing to do with them go to Nissan. Nissan have put out bulletins relating to the problem and did replace our timing chain after we had paid for the diagnostic. But still using excessive oil and had to go back to a different company as Nissan had parted with Vospers. After another two diagnostics they stated the pistons had caused wear ,and that we need a replacement engine.Again E Halshaw blamed Nissan, but reading E Halshaw information every car is serviced etc before it’s sold by a trained technician. And as they are in league with Nissan they surely would have known about the problem in 2018 as it was well known around 2015/16 as people had been given new engines,The court case with Renault/ Nissan in France was all about the same problem. I’m convinced they sold it to us probably aware of the problem, just as Nissan are. Nissan have lied saying the timing chain is not related but any technician will know the faulty pistons can cause bores also affect the timing chain etc, they have been lying and using delaying tactics so the car now has more miles on it. We have been told not to drive on motorways. This has come from the Nissan garage. We have had it regularly serviced. Just disgusted that both Nissan and E Halshaw can lie to us ,and as the French lawyer said put peoples lives at risk etc. There is more I can say but won’t because I’m keeping fingers crossed for some good news !! Of help I’ve requested.just to say our car engine has finally died as expected. Makes me furious as we could not afford to pay Nissan £12.500 for a new engine,so sadly went to the car breakers . Nissan find it acceptable to be with pendragon and Evan’s Halshaw Burnley, and state the cars are serviced to a high standard before selling , then sell it on to us knowing dam well it had a problem/issue with the pistons as proven by the bulletins Nissan put out. Plus they discriminate against independent garages and won’t help if you have your car serviced at one and yet their own dealerships missed the problem when our car had only done 62.000when it first broke down and repaired by our independent garage and only a few months later we were made aware of the failure forums of Nissan, and Nissan head office told us to take it to their dealership who as I said just put timing chain in ,but the couple of years we had had it and had kept filling up the oil, unfortunately the damage to the engine had been done. Hang your heads in shame Evans Halshaw and Nissan,/ pendaragon also lithia.

This is the first time I've bought a car online. I found the whole process really easy, from ordering online, the follow up call with the dealership, to taking delivery of the car.
As someone who is hard of hearing on the telephone I was worried I wouldn't fully understand what was being asked and that I might inadvertently agree to something that I didn't want. However, Rashawn took his time to explain everything clearly to me, talked me through the additional products and services offered to ensure I understood everything, which was much appreciated.
The car was delivered on the date I requested and I was kept updated on the estimated arrival time.
Overall I'm really happy with my new car and the service provided. Thank you!

Called in to look at their range of used cars. Found a car I was interested in. They gave an exceptionally low valuation on my car without even looking at it !!
Went elsewhere and got offered £1100 more (37%).

Bought a car, just 3 months and 8 days the car has been back to the garage twice. Both times I had to be towed with AA. Second time broke down on the motorway putting myself, my sick father whom in was taking to the hospital and my mother. As you can imagine I'm not a happy customer. Not only was I dealing with my sick father but having to deal with a car the I'd just bought and traded in my old car. £10,000 and I've no car as its in the garage. Not happy at all.
