After taking the vehicle in for a door handle issue at the beginning of December, the repair was finaly completed Friday 12th January. The issue was that the front passenger door handle would not open from the outside. I was charged an initial inspection fee of £90 and on completion of this inspection I was told 'The technician can confirm that the door handle does not work from the outside' An expensive inspection to tell me something I already knew. I was then charged a further £90 to remove the door components to do a further detailed inspection. The technician had difficulty removing the door handle from the door. ' I was told that 3 technicians were pulling at it at one point. One technician decided that the solution was to hit the handle off with a hammer. This damaged and dented the door in 3 places causing the door to need a fixing and respraying. When it came to ordering the correct parts to fix the door mechanism, this was first of all done without my authorisation and the service advisor could not even tell me what parts they were on an update. The parts that were ordered were wrong and I was told a technician attempted to modity the part to make it fit. There was then an ongoing dispute between the dealership and Ford technical where the dealer said it was the wrong part and Ford Technical was suggesting that the dealer doesn't know how to fit it. The correct part was eventally ordered. I was told by the Service advisor manager before Christmas that it would not be ready before the new year at least and that I wouldn't be charged for any part of the door. When I went to pick the vehicle up on the 12th January 2024. The Service advisor who I talked to was not very interested or welcoming. I was told the cost of the invoice and when I asked for a break down she simply handed me the invoice rather than taking me through it (I would say this should be good practise). On seeing that I was being charged for the cost of the door handle repair, I queried this and asked for it to be removed from the invoice. This debate went back and too with the service advisor for a while until they finally agreed to remove the cost of this. As I was paying and said goodbye, I treid to make positive conversation and said thank you and goodbye. The service advisor clearly blanked me and had taken the situation personally which to be honest was quite offensive to me and not good customer service. I did notice after driving my vehicle home (in the dark) that the passenger window had been left open slightly while the vehicle had been outside the dealership. With alot of heavy rain recently I have noticed that the passenger seat is severely marked with water stains from the rain. I have not reported this to the dealership as to be honest I have lost trust and faith in them to be able to rectify the situation and provide good customer service.

Recently purchased a Fiesta from Elliott. Came to Evans Halshaw MK as they had the exact specification I was looking for. Elliott was extremely polite, well mannered and professional in his approach. The Used car sales manager Roy was superb and polite as was the Service Manager Arnie who went above and beyond to fit some mudflaps on collection. Thoroughly recommend, thanks Evans Halshaw Ford Milton Keynes.

First class service from the second hand dealership staff. A couple of slight issues cropped up with the car after getting it home and I have got to say they were sorted out very quickly without any hassle at all.
Due to the distance from the garage I was asked to choose a local garage near me that I trusted and get the issues sorted and send in the invoice for the work.
This I did and the invoice was paid and in my account within 24 hours. 10/10 for customer service from me.
Thank you Roy for the speedy support.

Dear Evans Halshaw Service Department,
I am writing to express my profound disappointment and frustration with the service I received from your Ford Milton Keynes Service Department. My recent experience has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I believe it is essential that you are made aware of the issues I encountered during this ordeal.
My car broke down last Thursday, and it was subsequently recovered to your Milton Keynes location on Friday. At that time, I requested a service vehicle to mitigate the inconvenience caused by the breakdown. Unfortunately, this request was not fulfilled.
My troubles continued when I attempted to contact your service department on Monday. To my dismay, the phones at the service department rang incessantly, with no response from your team. Frustrated and desperate for assistance, I was forced to reach out to the Used Car Sales department to relay a message to the service department. This lack of communication and responsiveness was deeply disappointing.
On Tuesday, I managed to get through to the service department at 08:30, and I once again requested a service vehicle. To my astonishment, I was informed that by the time they could arrange for a service vehicle, my car would already be ready that day. I suggested having my car delivered to me, but I was told that this was not possible due to a shortage of staff. This was yet another example of the service department's inability to accommodate customer needs.
Desperate to have my car back and minimize my losses, I contacted the service department once more early on Wednesday morning. I was assured by an individual that they would communicate my request to the service team when they arrived for work. However, by 11:30, I had received no response, and the service department was once again unresponsive to my calls. This forced me to resort again to contacting the Used Car Sales department to relay my message to the service department and find out what was the situation.
In the end, my car was finally delivered back to me on Wednesday afternoon, after several days of frustration and inconvenience. This entire experience has cost me a significant amount of money in lost earnings, as I am self-employed and rely on my vehicle for work.
The lack of communication, the repeated failure to answer calls, and the inability to accommodate my reasonable requests have left me extremely dissatisfied with the service provided by the Evans Halshaw - Ford Milton Keynes Service Department. This level of service is unacceptable and has severely impacted my trust and confidence in your organization.
The service dept are a shambles and unprofessional.
The simple answer would be to get a trainee to answer the phone, which would sort out some of your problems and also training for the team on Customer Service.
I urge you to take my feedback seriously and address the issues within your service department to prevent other customers from enduring such a distressing experience in the future. I hope that my feedback will lead to improvements in your service processes and customer communication.
I must also add that the Used Car Sales team Elliot and Kane have been exemplary in helping me communicate with the inept Service Department.
Sincerely,
Mr D Hinds
