The workshop manager, Robert, was very good at keeping me informed of any progress or lack of progress while waiting for parts to arrive. Communication goes a long way.

Evans Halshaw Motherwell have the most helpful and knowledgeable staff we've ever encountered when buying a car. Andy made everything really easy, so the whole experience was very pleasant. Definitely want to go back there the next time!

Worst place going. The service staff are rude and just talk and talk to show their "knowledge" over the customer despite it not making pragmatic or logical sense.
They want to charge £240 for a "hours" labour and diagnostics which is just absolutely hilarious. No one in that garage is worth more a rate of half a mil a year. Mental.
Despite previously having an issue "Malfunction (Engine Malfunction) Indicator Lamp" which I was told was "no fault found" and charged £144 for the pleasure a few months ago, only for the same light to come back on days later and be discovered during my MOT (when actually looking at the car opposed to leaving a computer to do it) when it was in 3 weeks after that... I have the same issue again 7 weeks later and guess what, it's now £240 to look at the same problem light and there's absolutely no consideration for the crap experience and £144 previously paid, despite a fault being found during the MOT which was covered by my warranty.
"Oh but sir, if we discover the issue and it's covered my your warranty, you won't pay that £270".
Right... because I have complete faith you'll even look properly, much like my first experience.
I wouldn't have even taken my car into them if anyone told me I didn't need to go there to actually use my warranty, but I was told that as I paid my £144 the first time.
During the sale last year I was sold on the basis of a first years free MoT and Service. No record of that and the guy that sold it had left, so I had to fight with them to get this as well.
My experience of the staff for the most part is that attitude of "I'm waiting for a fight so I'll start it". It's straight in with a "shout them down with your procedure and process" and no active listening to the customers issue. Very much, listen with the intend to reply and not listen with the intend to respond.
Absolutely garbage place and I couldn't recommend anyone to stay away enough.

Greame Murray handled my sell my car, he couldn't have been more approachable, helpful and fair with everything regarding my car. Gutted I'm letting my car go as it is an absolute cracking car, I didn't want to sell it but having to go Electric I was pushed into this decision and Greame made my decision a little easier for the offer that was fair for both parties.

I have bought a car in full payment on Saturday 29th Jun 2024. After refuelling an engine management light started flashing. Immediately get back to Evan Halshaw Motherwell and inform them about the issue.
My point is buying a car from dealer vs from a private seller has always price difference, and that extra price is basically the peace-of-mind for the buyer that there will be no issues.
Since 29th Jun 2024 the car is just parked out side the house but I cant drive it due to the Engine Management light .
