Purchased a new ford transit custom crew cab. It was booked in for numerous faults less than 1 year old. Ford had the vehicle for a week and did not rectify many faults. I had to chase them for updates, they didn't even call when my vehicle was ready despite knowing i was needed it asap.
When I collected the van it had been damaged in many places by Ford. Damage was emailed to customer services on 6th October as requested by a man at the desk. No reply after many emails and phone calls. When I mentioned going legal only then did he reply to my email on 14th. Many emails sent my myself replying to this and still no reply until 22nd, (same email as the last) Ford are not willing to send me their video of when my van arrived without the damaged they just want to book it back in but not happy to discuss the faults or damage (suspicious).
When trying to call customer service to get booked back in most phone calls are ignored! My van is now unsafe to drive and I cannot get hold of Ford.
Van started to make an awful grinding sound after a few days of having the van back. The AA told me the van was not safe to drive and recovered it to Ford Wolverhampton. I haven't had a single call from them. I have called every day for 2 weeks. Managed to get through once and apparently they were waiting on parts and it would be 3- 5 days. That was a week ago now and still no phone call from Ford Wolverhampton. They do not answer the phones when I attempt to call for an update. They do not reply to emails. Im an hour away so not local enough just to pop by.
Do not expect any communication from these guys. You have to chase them constantly!
I do not expect such shocking customer service from Ford. I will not be purchasing from this business again. Absolute joke of a company, no after care for customers. Avoid!

Having had my car stolen, I was in dire need of a replacement. I got in touch with Evans Halshaw, where my previous car came from. A pleasantly voiced sales person called Liz took my call, and it was plain sailing from there. Within a couple of days, she found me a very nice car which ticked all the boxes, as well as some I wasn't even aware of. The actual sale transaction took about four hours, during which Liz went over all the details and made sure I understood everything. I have nothing but praise for her kindness and the way in which she made a potentially harrowing experience an enjoyable one. The coffee is excellent by the way, being made from freshly ground beans!

I bought my Peugeot 3008 from Evans Halshaw in Hull. Although since have had a problem I went to my local Evans Halshaw Ford in Wolverhampton who have been an utter waste of time. They have had my car since mid July.I even went on holiday and had no courtesy call whilst been away for a week as to what was happening. When I called I was informed that the Peugeout specialist they sent it to could not see what was wrong. They therefore booked it into Regal Motors where it will not be seen until 22nd September. I have been using taxis and getting my elderly parent to take me to work as they said they have no courtesy cars available. It is truly disgusting. They never answer calls and never get back to you. I am a very dissapointed customer and will not buy any vehicle again from this company, just appauling service.

I'll start out by saying that this review relates to my epxerience with used car sales only. I've not spoken to new sales, commercial or the service desk team.
I Found the guys over in the used car sales team to be excellent. They have a useful service where if you see a car you like on the website, you can pay a fully refundable fee of £99 for them to reserve it. This fee is refundable no matter if you buy the car or not, so long as you turn up to the appointment!
You get a 30 minute unaccompanied test drive. Personally I would prefer more than that but there we go.
We have a bit of an unconvential meeting between the person who ended up selling the car and me. I was checking the underside of the car to see if a particular repair that the previous MOT mentioned had been done, so when she came out to greet me, she found me underneath the car. I'm sure her first impresion of me was one of confusion when the first words she had to say to me are "...Are you okay?" but this set the stage for a positive day so it was fine.
There's basically no room to move on the price of the used cars these days. That is all set centrally by Evans Halshaw head office so the sales guys can't really move around there. That's not to say don't ask, but don't expect to get much. I think Evans Halshaw should give the sales guys the power to move around on price, as room to negociate (within reason) can make the difference between getting something and getting nothing.
I dealt with Elizabeth and Caitlyn. They were both lovely to deal with and very knowledgeable. If they didn't know the answer to any of my questions (and I had many!) they would go and find out. I would absolutly buy a used car from them again.

Had a great experience buying my used car from Pavan, he made the whole process so easy and stress free, with a smooth handover and no pushy sales tactics.

£17000 on a Peugeot Expert and five months on after numerous trips back to the dealership I'm still without a working van. Random dashboard lights, failed flywheel and clutch, DPF issues amongst other things. Yes, these things can happen but how they have been managed by Evans Halshaw Wolverhampton is a joke, they don't answer the phones, reply to emails or take ownership of these issues, they're also ill equipped to work on vehicles other than Ford it would seem as the van has had to go to 'specialists' to diagnose issues!
I've currently been without a working vehicle since the 14th July and the RAC were called out for the flywheel/ clutch failure and still waiting for that and the DPF issues to be rectified.
Now investigating the legal route to recover my out of pocket expenses and commercial losses.
Edit: Having received the van back last week there was a new noise occurring whilst starting the van, RAC were called and said it was the starter motor, when I explained to the RAC guy it had just had a new flywheel and clutch and there was nothing wrong with the starter motor before the work being carried out he suggested that Evans Halshaw had damaged the starter motor during the repair.
Roll on one week and I've just had the starter motor replaced by my local garage, I gave them the story regarding the issues and they said they would look at the starter motor and see what had happened, low and behold the Evans Halshaw had pushed the starter motor locating pin into the housing so that the starter motor now wouldn't line up properly, damage done to the starter motor and the flywheel due to an absolute bodge by Evans Halshaw re-fitting the starter motor!
Let's wait and see what Evans Halshaw make of the photos of the damage!!!!
UPDATE!! 06/10/25 still no contact from either the service manage or commercial manager regarding the damage done to the starter motor or yet to receive the paperwork for the work carried out under warranty!

We initially visited the dealer to browse their stock of used cars, we were asked by sales executive Elizabeth Wooley if we needed any help which we didn't at the time and were left alone to browse
On deciding a car we liked we asked Elizabeth for more information she was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Deciding to go ahead with the purchase she helped us with the process which was smooth and easy to do.
In her professional capacity Elizabeth knows her stuff, as a person she is very likeable so thankyou Liz for a great experience

Staff was very friendly and welcoming. I dropped of my car to get both of the back fog lights changed. Booked appointment and received a quote via phone for 2 fog lights and labour, total quote came to £240, with what I was happy to proceed. When I came to pick up my car - only 1 of the lights was repaired. Went back in and spoke with staff- unfortunately, I couldnt prove that I have booked the service for both lights As it was done via phone. Cost me £209 for just 1.
Couple days later - garage contacted me and admitted the fault, booked the second light fitting in and in total paid what I was quoted originally. Thankfully all ended well.

Zac at Wolverhampton Ford was quick to take a £99 refundable deposit for a Ford, and when I decided not to go ahead with the sale he agreed to refund me and then, radio silence. Have emailed 3 times since June 11th reminding him that I have not yet received the refund.
I've tried calling but not been able to get through, will keep trying until I am able to speak with Zac himself

After sales needs to be sorted out I had two issues with my car and it took 4 months to sort out bearing in mind one of the issues was just to change a tire because the car was sold with a puncture and that took over a month to get done. After my second issue was rectified I collected my car only to find out when I walked over to the car park the passenger side mirror had been scratched down something but not reported, this took over a month to get repaired so from when I brought the car it has taken 5 months for Ford to sort out not good really.

I feel utter despair following the purchase of my used vehicle from Vauxhall Evans Halshaw Wolverhampton, which mysteriously closed down shortly after. My experience with the Evans Halshaw brand has been nothing short of a nightmare from start to finish and I’m left with a vehicle without a working head light and I’ve been told the unit needs replacing, a boot which leaks whenever I use the washer or it rains and there is an issue when turning corners the car squeaks.
I believed purchasing a vehicle from a leading car manufacturer would offer some assurances, this couldn’t be further from the truth. I was advised at the point of sale that I would be provided with 3 months warranty. On being made aware that Vauxhall was closing down I was told that Evans Halshaw Wolverhampton would honour the warranty.
I contacted Evans Halshaw and they agreed to inspect the issues on the 7th February and to this day I’m still waiting for the repairs to be carried out. At no point have the Service Team had the decency to call me and provide any updates via a phone call or email. I’ve had to call every week, the only time I’ve had a call back was from a polite receptionist who said they’d passed on my concerns and I was asked for my car mileage.
When I manage to get through to service I’m fobbed off with “we are waiting for the warranty company to get back us “ I’ve requested the evidence of the emails they’ve sent and I’m still waiting for this information so that I can contact trading standards. The customer service is non existent and the way I’ve been treated is appalling, I feel that I’ve been mislead as I would not have purchased the vehicle without a valid warranty given my experience the warranty is non existent and is something I was told to appease me.
I’m now left with a car which is not fit for purpose by a company I thought I could trust, the way i understand the situation now is you’ve had your money so forget about the little people, cooperate greed at its finest!

I purchased my second hand Peugot and my personal aftercare experience is shocking. I called several times chasing my second key that I was promised would be sent out to me as they were unable to locate it on the day I purchased, paid for and collected my vehicle. The staff themselves appeared friendly and I would highly recommend not to pay for the vehicle you intend to purchase until you are completely happy and checked everything over.
On a side note, the vehicle value of ca £20k was not even valeted which was promised and was handed over to me post a quick 5 minute car wash only on the outside.

I purchased a service plan from CarStore, which also includes service locations from their sister company, Evans Halshaw. I was offered this service plan when I bought my car from CarStore Ipswich in 2023. The plan includes two services: one minor and one major. The minor service was completed in April 2024, and the major service was conducted on April 14, 2025. The major service should have included both the engine air filter and the cabin pollen filter.
During my visit to the Ford Service Centre Wolverhampton, which I booked online (service while waiting), I had to wait four hours for the service to be completed. After the service, I checked the air filters in the car park and found that neither had been changed. I returned inside with the dirty filters to ask about this. I was told an excuse that the money I paid for the service plan two years ago was not sufficient to cover the cost of the filters.
This is unacceptable; it shows very poor customer service.
