This car rental in Mykonos was a disaster from the start. We were expecting a Jeep as advertised, but instead, they gave us a damaged car with a noticeable dent. We reluctantly accepted it and drove off, but within 30 seconds, a warning alarm about the door went off. We immediately turned around and returned it. They were shocked to see the damage, apologised profusely, and gave us a new car on the spot.
Fast forward to the end of the week, and the obnoxious manager at the airport tried to charge me €70 for the same damaged door they had already apologised for! Their dishonesty and spitefulness are unbelievable. Avoid this company at all costs!

Update about the SCAMMERS HLG GROUP MAROKKO
We have been trying to get our money back from the HLG Group in Morocco for a year now. These were affiliated with Exer. They collected our money, but despite all the false promises, still no money back. I won't leave it at that! Never rent a car through the HLG Group Morocco!! The tactic is to remain nice to the customer until you demand your money back, which has been collected unlawfully. They are scammers!! I won't rest until I get my money back. I will post bad reviews in any way possible until I get my money back, know that ALAA!!! You promised us many many times that we would get our money back. The problem always lies somewhere else! FIX THE PROBLEM!!!!! the review should be minus stars

Everything was fine
Everything was fine, from the pick-up at the airport to the car provided to the special situation that I extended the car rental by one day and I was able to arrange this by e-mail with the very kind and helpful colleague.

Unexpected extra charge
I was charged an extra fee because it was 11 pm. That was unexpected. At the end, I pay a whole day plus more than 40€ for the first day.
I have to wait in the airport a long while for going to the place where i have the car and, returning the car, i have to wait for being taken to the airport.

Our flight from Italy had a delay in…
Our flight from Italy had a delay in the departure time and we informed Exer rent abount the inconvenience which remained opened waiting for our arrival at the airport and pick us on expected time arrival at the exit of airport at the Exer point!
The airport is very near the Exer point and after that the delivery of the car has been quick and perfect by the rental company. The security deposit has been released by Company the same day of the end of the rental.

Very bad experience
Very bad experience. Staff was very rude and impolite. When I asked for the invoice for additional full insurance, manger said "It is illegal to disturb him and he will call a police!!!!!" My car was with full of scratches and faults. I asked the staff to check with me car condition but they did not want and told me "You have full insurance I don't want!!!" That is true, I had 2 (two) full insurances, one paid to Discover cars and one to the Exer rent a car. I have rent a car all over the world but I have not experienced something like this.

A bad start of out holidays
I'm sorry to inform you that I have never in my life been treated so disrespectfully by a company that I gave my money to as your company.
It started with the fact that there was no one at the airport to pick us up and it took me over an hour and four phone calls to finally find out where I could pick up the car. At the Exer station, I had to wait for about half an hour and then was given a dirty Dacia Duster car. When I drove off to pick up my family from the airport, I noticed the car had great trouble getting up the hill and there was also a piece of coating hanging loose near the pedals that really hindered me while driving.
I picked up my famly and drove back to the station to mention this to the Exer employee. He said there was no other car available and said he could only remove the loose coating. He also suggested I used the clutch incorrectly and that that was the reason it had trouble getting up the hill (for your information, I have driven manual cars all my life)
I said the car was really not okay but the employee again said there was no other car available and if I wasn't happy I should call the manager. I said he should call the manager and told him this was bad customer service but he said that's all he could do.
I decided to give it another try but even in first gear, the car could not get up the hill. I went back again and told the employee the car was really NOT okay and that we needed another one. In the mean time, a red warning light was also lit on the dashboard.
The employee then said he would call the manager. After about 20 minutes he said he could give me another car but it would cost me €280 extra. I told him this was absolutely unacceptable as I had paid for a car and the company should provide me with a replacement car at no extra cost since they gave me a broken one. While I was waiting, I noticed two couples getting a free upgrade and mentioned this to him but he wouldn't listed and said the manager would be there in about half an hour and I should talk to him about the situation.
After one hour of waiting(!) the manager still wasn't there and he said we just had to wait and he would call the manager again and if we weren't happy with it we could always cancel.
Since I was so sick of this unprofessional and downright disrespectful treatment I said I would pay the extra cost just to be able to finally get out of there.
Some other customers who were also there waiting asked me what was going on and I explained them the situation since I was no furious with this situation. Your employee then simple said in a very condescending way to them that he drove the car as well and there was nothing wrong with it. He then even had the nerve to accuse me in front of the other customers of not having paid the deposit while I paid that already an hour before that!
Even when I showed him the statement from my credit card he went on to check everything on his terminal before finally admitting that I already had paid it.
The only reason I agreed to paying the extra amount for the other car was that I knew I would not be able to get another car on such short notice and that it would take 7 to 10 days to release the deposit. I would then not have enough on my credit card to even get another car!
Any decent, bona fide car rental company would have given me a free upgrade to another car as the car I was given was clearly broken. But instead, I was treated very disrespectfully and not even offered an apology for the whole situation. This treatment is absolutely unacceptable and gives me the impression that Exer is not a trustworthy company at all. The treatment we were given displays a clear lack of professionalism and is not worthy of a decent company.
Exer should at least have the decency to refund me the extra €280 for the upgrade as it was not my fault that the car I was given was broken. I feel robbed and treated very unfairly and I want an answer on how you will address this issue.

Friendly, efficient service
Very friendly staff. Was a bit worried that having to collect the car off-site would be difficult arriving late into Rhodes airport, but the shuttle service was great, and the staff were friendly and efficient.
Dropping the car back was again an easy, fast service with no stress. Just what you need at the end of a holiday.

No problem company without delays :)
Car was pretty cool (Audi with good engine for traveling up and down thru the Athens roads), full of scratches but I don't mind (it's better to take as many as it is possible of pictures when you pick up the car to avoid any troubles later). All people from the company were very kind and nice, taking the car and returning went smooth without any problems or delays. Price was a bit higher than I pay usually in Athens but still all was good and I am not afraid to use this company again in future :)

Perfect rent service with fair prices
It was not our first time in Athens.
We rented a car with Exer in 2023 and were selecting between different providers 2 months before our trip. We read many reviews from other travelers about various companies. I have 25+ years of driving experience with a spotless accident history. I could not believe in all these 700+ euro deposits for any car. We started our negotiation with Exer and agreed to have a full insurance package + a small deposit.
We rented a car from August 12 to August 22. The shuttle service was great, customer service was good. We even got a bigger car for the same price. We got a new tidy car - nothing to complain about.
When we returned this car everything was also fine: quick check and the unlock of the deposit.
I will definitely choose Exer company next time.

Disappointing
We were initially provided with a car larger than requested. We were told that they would need to exchange it after a week. That car lasted about 10 minutes before we gad to return it to the depot due to a fault. They exchanged the car for a smaller car and said they would email the paperwork but we never received it. The car was initially ok however when we went to fill the car with fuel as it was given to us with a third of tank the petrol inlet was damaged and we were unable to insert the fuel nozzle. On contacting Ever they were unhelpful and unsympathetic. Basically we had to sort it ourselves. Poor service and poor quality cars

deposit not returned
The car was a Citroen not the Toyota that was being advertised, but that is not my reason for rating 2 stars instead of higher. I have still not received my deposit back. I did write to the Catalonia Hire centre to ask why it was taking so long but have not heard back from them.

Good service.
The people at the desks where very helpful and helped us sort out transfers when our flight was delayed with no hassle. Also quick to hand back the car and a quick transfer back to the airport. Also quick to transfer the deposit back on to my card. Not the cheapest and the car was mediocre but it was the peak season to be fair. Would still recommend because of the good hassle free service.

Bad feeling…
Besides of no transfer from the airport, the wrong category car, extra costs for speeding and a very arrogant person at the desk, was the transfer back to the airport good. This was the last time that we rented a car at your company. It is no problem for me to pay for what I did wrong, but get money out of my pocket this way is totally wrong. The guy at the desk had one job as far as I know and that is try to get as much money at the most arrogant way from the client and never listen to what he had to say. After contact with the headoffice of Exed cars, they decided to pay me the money for speeding back. Thanks for that.

It was terrible, because they didn't accept my international insurance (black credit card).
The rental Price was $259.50 I needed to pay for other insurance - $295.93 (Total
$555.43).
The rental service is provided by a subcontractor named "RJ CAR Rental (5780 Hoffner Ave, Orlando FL)"
Very sorry about this company.
