Louise Stokes is an unkind human being…

Louise Stokes is an unkind human being who lacks very basic knowledge of buying/selling Properties. She falsely informs clients and creates false expectations due to the fact she does not understand how long the buying or selling process can take. We had a leasehold transaction but Louise kept pushing and pressurising us to complete within one month when our Conveyancer told us it would take roughly 6 months to complete. Horrible and very rude to deal with

Agent late for a viewing

Agent late for a viewing by half an hour (10am on a Saturday morning) - we had others lined up so couldn't wait. Judging by the other reviews here, it sounds like we dodged a bullet anyway.

Awful experience with EXP - Glen Conn

Awful and disappointing experience with the EXP agent Glen Conn. He wasn't transparent with regards to the lease length of a maisonette property and after numerous texts and emails fobbing me off, I have been forced to withdraw my offer as he just can't be trusted. My email to withdraw hasn't even been acknowledged.

Months wasted and £600 down the drain due to his lack of transparency and honesty and I would avoid using him to sell your home or buying a property he is selling.

Steer well clear…. Unethical agent

Went to see one of their properties today. Really unprofessional agent. She proceeded to argue with me when I told her I was out due to the way they conduct business. Agent was then rude when I told her I wasn’t interested. It looks like a really dodgy outfit for a reason. Steer well clear of them.

Property fee details

I've been asking for details of the lease, service charges, and site fees for a lodge property in the Lake District. I requested details via the website link on 25th August. I've had two emails back to suggest I book a viewing. I don't want to book a viewing until I understand what the annual fees are. How difficult can it be to just send me the details requested...... ?

Very unprofessional and poor agent about Tom Cooper

Very unprofessional and poor agent about Tom Cooper. I see an interested property on Rightmove. And check the exp.uk background, which is a platform for agents to list themselves. After Tom took us to view the house, we were very satisfied and make offer immediately. Later, Tom replied that the landlord had chosen our application. We hope to send a tailor-made gift to him, so we search his interest on Facebook and found that he also loves dogs and has children. Two days later, I did not receive any reply. When I text to Tom, he said the landlord changed the mind to sell the house instead of letting. We beg him to persuade the landlord because we love the house so much. We can buy his property after we sold ours.It is a pity that we didn’t received any reply from him. After a few weeks, Tom post the news on Facebook the property was rent for someone. Our offer let the competitor know obviously. This feeling is really bad. He was full of lies and not worthy be a father.

The weird thing I receive another property agent to sell us their service even I never contact before. And it is one of his working company before.

Very poor and unprofessional service

Stay away from Jamie Cotton (jamiecotton.exp.uk.com). He is an arrogant, selfish and unprofessional individual who betrays your trust. His attitude is disgusting he needs to go and learn some manners and how to deal with customers effectively and efficiently. You don’t play with people’s life, it’s not a game! He is a pushy salesman who wants you to make a decision instantly.

After my offer was agreed by the vendor, Jamie started to demand documents such as Proof of ID, Bank Statements and Mortgage documents. I actually regret sending these documents to him because I became aware later that he was not registered with ICO and has no safe storage for such sensitive information. However, he was waiting for one more document. He became very aggressive and patronising, wanted to come down my house and see documents etc, when I made it clear that the document he requested was not available and was waiting for the bank to send a statement out.

I made it clear that I will provide him with the document as soon as I receive it. However that was not good enough for him and he decided to sell the property to someone else.

I have raised this issue with ICO who will look into it further independently. I will also be writing to Exp UK Head Office and The Property Ombudsman Ltd.

Please don't waste your time with this agent. Disgusting behaviour, I will make sure I spread the word in the community.

Terrible Agent

The Estate Agent (Andy Richardson) didn't keep in contact and had us turning up at our new house whilst the previous owners were still there. He was rude to our Solicitor and keys weren't handed over initially, even though we were the new legal owner. Terrible experience overall and would never use again.

Very poor and unprofessional service (…

Very poor and unprofessional service ( Maidstone branch). After my offer was agreed by the vendor, for few days my solicitor did not receive sales memorandum. I called the agent (Clare McHugh) to enquire about progress, she said, there are few more viewings this afternoon and will let me know later today. As after my offer was agreed I was just waiting for the paperwork. The agent didn’t even told me that still there are viewings are going on. Totally waste of time and money. Please don’t with this agency and the agent. DONT WASTE UR TIME.

I have to agree with the other reviews here

I have to agree with the other here, they are appalling.

Monday - enquired about a property, left my details for someone to call back. Tuesday - left a text message for the agent responsible for the property as I'd like to arrange for a viewing ASAP, no response. Wednesday - tried to request an online reviewing on EXP website, no response. Thursday - called office number again who tried to put me through to the agent, just rings out everytime. The receptionist said she will ensure someone will get back to me soonest. Thursday PM - called office again as still not heard a thing. Even though I'm really interested in the property - I give up.

This is not the customer service you would expect off any estate agent or any company.

ALISON MCCAREY - STAGGERINGLY UNPROFESSIONAL

ALISON MCCAREY

Simply terrible and an awful indictment of modern society in the process.

As a cash buyer I sent a list of eight questions to Alison McCarey, an independent personal agent operating under the exp.uk.com brand, regarding two properties she is currently marketing at No's 5 & 12 Nurses House on the King Edward VII.

She requested a call to discuss the questions. I politely stated an email response would be my preference, to which she mimicked my email by reply stating a call was her preference? Quite baffling.

I sent my number.

To say this agent was a professional embarrassment to the industry would be an understatement of considerable magnitude. She stated she was not going to answer my questions as it would take her some time to find the answers and suggested I asked King & Chasemore instead "who also have properties marketed on the development", but asked whether I wanted a viewing. So I would assume Alison was keen to waste her vendors time work a viewing from a customer who was unable to determine his interest level before the viewing due Alison McCarey deciding a customer asking questions was not appropriate.

I suggested these were basic questions and whether she could see her way to answering them, she declined once more.

I asked her whether she felt she was doing a good job for her vendors in refusing to answer questions about the property to cash buyer? At which point Alison flew into a rage and told me I was argumentative and rude and what a fantastic agent she was and how many years she had been doing the job... All interesting points but none of which answered any of my basic questions about the property. She hung up the phone when I asked her what specifically she thought I was "arguing", when I stated that I had asked simple questions and had hoped for simple answers, she said she had never been spoken to like this before and her colleague in the background shouted "block them".

All in all, a most strange experience with an incredibly fragile indivisible masquerading as a professional.

If the vendors of number 5 or 12 Nurses House, Adams Walk in Midhurst are reading this, I would highly recommend you seek a more professionally capable individual to represent you.

If I could give zero

If I could give zero, I would. Everything was going well upto the exchange. Then contact was nil tried as we did couldn’t get an answer to either phone calls or emails. Very poor response. Something not right, estate agent very very close to the seller, which makes me wonder why our first offer was refused!!!! Also shown around a couple of properties by this agent and it wasn’t him it was his Dad.!! Who couldn’t answer any of our questions! I did email the agent after finally getting our keys, Saying how disgusted we were and I have kept his reply and wish I could publish it! Wouldn’t recommend this company.

Stuart Reynolds

I originally got in contact with Stuart Reynolds as I was interested in a property he was the estate agent for. I viewed the property and made an offer. At first I was told over the telephone that the offer was accepted, but it later transpired that the property was staying on the market, which seemed odd to me. When I queried this and asked him to respond in writing and confirm my offer had been formally accepted, the offer turned into a ‘provisional offer’. He stated:

‘The owners of XXXX have confirmed that at the price you have offered, they would be happy to do business at no less than the £XXXX offered for the sale of their home so I am happy to confirm the provisional acceptance of the offer but as discussed, the homeowner is unable to exclusively accept your offer and withdraw from the market based on your current position because at this time, whilst you have made an offer that is of an acceptable price, you are unable to actually proceed with the purchase as I understand you now need to make the arrangements for your current home to go onto the market and for a buyer to be found’

This was bizarre as the sellers had also not found anywhere to purchase, so were not in a position to move forward with the sale until they had found somewhere. He also indicated that a sale would not be pushed on the property, but it would still appear on the website.

In reliance on what he had said, I proceeded to put my house up for sale and accepted an offer on my own property. This was all done within 7 weeks from his email and I kept in communication with Stuart throughout this time. When I informed him that my property had now sold as specified, he informed me that actually the sellers would not be selling the property to me. Despite the fact the sellers had still not found somewhere to buy and were unable to move forward with any sale…

As such, I am now left with no property to purchase, but mine has now sold, subject to contract. I do not think this is the proper way to do business and that I have been misled about the position for several weeks. He only informed me the sellers were not proceeding because I called to update him on my position. I do wonder how long I would have been left in the lurch, thinking this sale would proceed, if I had not opted to call him!

I would not recommend using this estate agent if you are selling or buying a home. I am extremely disappointed with the way the process has been handled and it came across as extremely unprofessional.

Wonderful experience from Melissa Ford…

Wonderful experience from Melissa Ford with EXP UK!
•She was extremely knowledgeable about the house and knew all about the seller, their house history and current situation
•Answered every question we had.
•Very friendly and welcoming towards me and my partner.
•Dealt with calls/viewings super straight forward and fast
•Easy going and lovely to talk to

In general, service from Melissa is an honest 5 stars. Me and my partner experienced poor estate agents previously that never even got back to us after questions and had no knowledge of the homes we looked at.
We really appreciate having come across Melissa.

If you are thinking of going with EXP UK, me and my partner recommend her so much. And we are proud to say she sold us our first home. Thank you loads to Melissa!

Unprofessional

Unprofessional

I enquired about viewing a property as soon as it was on the market. I made two phone calls over 2 days and left a message and was informed I will get a call back. I received a call back on the 3rd day however was at a funeral so was unable to speak.
I called the sales agent back the next morning and explained I was keen to view the property however he said it was sold and no more viewings were taking place.
I explained it would've been nice to at least get an opportunity to view this property especially after I chased this a few times and his response was I called you on Wednesday and if you couldn't talk, that was basically my problem.
He was very rude and unprofessional and due to the circumstances as to why I couldn't answer, he showed no remorse or understanding.
I felt so upset after speaking to him that I called the head office to make a complaint because his attitude was not acceptable. I was told someone would call me straight away and still waiting 4 days for a call back.

I have never dealt with a company that lacks basic customer service and simple manners. I would never what to sell or buy a property from a company like this!!
