Alaska

Returned recently from yet another excellent trip to Alaska, my 3rd trip this year with Experium Travel. Yvette's itineraries are excellent and well planned. She ensures everything runs smoothly and is very good at resolving any issues. When you travel with Experium, all you have to do is sit back and relax. There never is a dull moment. Every trip done with Experium has been an adventure. One of the best things about travelling with Experium is the group size - maximum 20.

a wonderful time in Alaska 2026

I have recently returned from my second trip of a lifetime this year with Experium Travel, this time to Alaska, and Yvette sure knows the business industry well, she is friendly, clear in her coach commentary, a true leader and leading us through busy airports on route leaving nobody behind is worth her weight in gold, Yvette uses the best guides, coaches, accommodation available which ensures we see the best in wildlife and landmarks alone, we saw so much in Alaska and I highly recommend this trip, from boat trips to amazing rail journeys this trip had it all with a group of just 12 making this our best group ever and I’ve been with Experium a few times now her trips are very addictive with such tempting itineraries

I have recently returned from a trip to…Alaska

I have recently returned from a trip to Alaska with Experium travel,we were only a small group, but everyone(new friends and old),got on well.
We had 3 flights to get to our final destination Anchorage, athough the long queues at Seattle security made us miss our connection, but with Yvette doing what she does best,we were quickly put on the next flight with the minimum of fuss.
We travelled on a huge coach(4 seats each)from Anchorage onwards to Seaward/Girdwood/Talkeetna/Fairbanks and back to Anchorage.
We also used trains, boats, gondolas,(quad bikes,e bikes, optional)and a lot of walking.
Lots of wildlife along the way,Grizzly bear,Humpback Whales,Sea otters,Eagles,Seals,Moose,Cariboo Dall sheep and much more with stunning scenery in every direction.
All accommodation was good with included breakfast which is always a bonus

Zimbabwe, Botswana

Another masterpiece ! I have just returned from visiting Zimbabwe, Victoria Falls, Botswana and and the Okavango Delta.
We saw elephants, zebras, the leopard and many more wild animals and birds. The sun rises and sunsets were spectacular.
The lodges where we stayed were charming and the staff looked after us very well.
Such a privilege to be part of this amazing country for a little while.
I can really recommend this trip with Yvette, Experium Travel Ltd.

Tigers and the Taj

This was my first tour with Yvette and Experium and I will definitely be back for more. What a fabulous experience! As Yvette so rightly promised, we didn’t just see India, we experienced India. Starting in Old Delhi with a food tour with the thoroughly knowledgeable and entertaining Chef Rajeev. Such an enjoyable experience. Not forgetting the crazy rickshaw rides and instructions for how to cross the roads, which, surprisingly, worked a treat. Then the part of the tour I was so looking forward to; the tigers. Our stays at Pench and Tadoba delivered stunning, up close encounters with tigers. And not just tigers but snow leopards, langours, wild boar and wild dogs, and the most beautiful birds. All in a stunning landscape. Seeing the Taj Mahal at sunrise before the crowds gathered was so special. Simply stunning!
Everything about the trip was super; the hotels, the safari lodges, the garden villas, the food, and the company. I couldn’t have wished for friendlier travelling companions. And a special mention for our safari guides who were incredibly knowledgeable and keen to make sure we had the best experience possible. Huge thanks to Yvette whose experience, knowledge and contacts made such a tour possible. She strives to ensure we have the best possible experience. This is a trip that will live long in my memory.

In search of the snow leopard

I love wildlife and particularly the big cats so I jumped at the chance to try to find snow leopards in their natural habitat with Experium. Yvette uses the best local agents and created a fabulous itinerary and we saw 4 snow leopards! Mangyu Lodge, right in snow leopard territory, was comfortable, clean and we were looked after and fed exceedingly well. The team there were amazing at what they do and I got really emotional leaving there as I just couldn't put into words how much the experience had meant to me. Memories made forever! I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ley before we headed back to Delhi. I've been to Delhi twice before but I still had new unique experiences on the Culinary food tour and visiting the kitchens of the Sikh temple. I couldn't resist doing the add on offered to visit Tadoba Tiger reserve afterwards. Again brilliant accommodation and guides. I loved this trip. Every day on an Experium trip has a highlight! Thank you!

Taj and the Tigers wow!

Yvette delivered both - tigers up closer than I could have dreamed of and a sunrise first look at the Taj before anyone else arrived. And then a whole lot more - great hotels and safari camp accommodation, delicious and very plentiful food, a lovely mix of like minded travellers who became friends over our days together and the different experiences that gave me a real flavour of India. While the Taj and Tigers were the stars of the show, other highlights included the safari drives and my first view of a leopard in the wild, a food tour and rickshaw ride round old Delhi, glorious colour and madness and a visit to a local village to share food and masala chai with a rooftop sunset. Our guides were first rate and we learned so much about what we were seeing, Indian life and customs, politics and history. Yvette lives up to her promise of experiencing rather than just seeing with some deft rejigging of our itinerary when the unexpected happened (as it can do in India). Her extensive experience and local contacts meant we made the most of every day with seamless arrangements and a mix of activity and respite from the heat. A wonderful mix of wildlife, history and culture Taj and the Tigers was brilliant introduction to India and I can’t wait for my next Experium experience. Thanks Yvette.

Tigers and Taj

Sometimes it is not until you get home and look through photos and take time to reflect that you realise quite how special an Experium holiday really is. Tigers and Taj is one of those - it is a hot tiring holiday, because you see the tigers when they are looking for water, so the hot dry season is the time to go. Early mornings are essential as with all wildlife holidays. And the tiger reserves were hot and dusty… but the tigers come out to play and it is all worthwhile. It is amazing and totally awe inspiring to see these beautiful creatures at such close range with their huge paws and huge mouths and glorious shiny coats often half covered in mud where they have been paddling in a muddy pond. When you travel with Yvette you know she always tries to get you to the right place at the right time - we were often first through the gates as the parks opened, and ok.. some of us were first in the bar after a safari afternoon! And just when you think the holiday cannot get any better we went to the Taj Mahal - many of us had been before but it never fails to astonish with its beauty. Our group, much to the dismay of the local tour guide who thought we were all slightly mad, were first through the doors as they opened so we have photos of us and the Taj and no one else - and friends thought the photos had been ‘cleaned up’ with the new iPhone hack - we didn’t need to do that. Back at the hotel for a delicious breakfast while most tourists were just thinking about setting off. As always we stayed in the very best hotels available, the food was excellent, although I suspect none of us will be eating curry for a few weeks, and lovely pools available for a relax during our free time . One hotel even had a pillow menu! There were lots of other animals to see and experiences that we had, but tigers and Taj were the undoubted highlights.

Tigers and the Taj

Returning from the Tigers and the Taj tour only a couple of days ago has given me time to reflect on what an amazing time I experienced.
Starting in Delhi with a Food Tour, tasting street food with a renowned chef. Chef Rajeev was certainly a character and kept us amused for a couple of hours with his sharp wit and knowledge of Indian food tasting.
Of course, the real reason we were in India was to do with the name of this tour! Yes, our next stop was Pench National Park, staying in the first of the lodges we would call home for a few days. Tigers were what we were here to see. And we did. And leopard, spotted deer, wild boar, monkeys and a variety of beautiful birds.
Our next port of call was Tadoba National Park staying at a super lodge a stones throw from the park gate. And did we see tigers!! Only 15 minutes in and walking down the road towards our jeep was a huge male, so exciting. The two parks were different, but we certainly saw what we were here to see.
After flying back to Delhi and driving to Agra, we were to visit the Taj Mahal at dawn the next day. That was certainly a very special experience and being first through the gate we could marvel at the magnificent mausoleum in front of us without the crowds.
Before returning to Delhi the next day for our last night before flying home, we visited a small village to view the Taj Mahal from a different location at sunset. We were given a tour of the village before arriving at our viewpoint which was the top of someone’s house, where we were treated to tea and Indian snacks. That was really special and we were all glad that it was included in the itinerary.
All the hotels on this tour have been lovely, all different. The food has been exceptional everywhere we went.
All in all, another fabulous trip organised by Yvette, Experium Travel. I have two more trips already booked, can’t wait!

Well done Experium Travel

Just back from my 3rd trip with Experium Travel. Quite by chance, each of the destinations were new ground for the Co.
Three very different tours, The 5 Stans, Colombia and Ladakh, all exceeded expectation and, after having some incredible experiences, left me with amazing memories that will last a lifetime.
The ground teams used, are certainly aware of the standard of itinerary, hotel (and the location of) food, drivers and guides that are expected and Yvette obviously does her research too.
Gratuities are often a thorn in the side, especially with us Brits but, they are part of escorted travel and being included in the price of the holiday, makes life easier for all concerned.
Experium Travel obviously has a good reputation for paying the local guides, porters, waiters, drivers, toilet attendants et al and therefore the service is very good, well done Yvette, it makes such a difference.
I find the holidays are good value: excellent hotels in great locations, more than enough room in any form of transport involved, plenty of great food, no paying for drinking water and small groups, 20 being the maximum.
I really don’t know how Yvette keeps all of her plates spinning but am very happy she does and look forward to the future trips I have booked, for next year.

Expert guidance and seamless organisation

I’ve just got back from the Himalaya with Experium Travel. The holiday was nothing short of extraordinary, and much of that is due to this exceptional small holiday company owned by Yvette. To the very first enquiry to the final farewell, every detail was handled with care, professionalism and passion. A beautifully balanced itinerary offering both breathtaking adventure and moments of quiet reflection. We saw snow leopards, yes plural, in their natural habitat. This is mostly due to her selecting the right time and location to enable this with a little bit of luck thrown in. I’ve traveled with Yvette before and wouldn’t hesitate to travel with her company Experium Travel again.

Chile, you were fab!

Wow! Chile was everything you ever learned in geography at school on steroids. Spectacularly scenery from the Atacama desert, snow-capped volcanic Andes, salt plains, lakes, glaciers, national parks & elusive wildlife, we saw it all. The trip was well put together making the most of every minute but still with time to enjoy the hotel pools at the end of the day. The hotels were spot on for each area - an important element.
My 3rd Experium adventure with 2 more booked - can’t wait!

Antarctica Feb 2026

You might think that going on a cruise to Antarctica means that you should book direct and not use the services of Experium Travel. Think again. Firstly for the cruise itself, Yvette managed everything for us, picked the most amazing company (Quark) and ship for this part and ensured all details were provided on time (there was quite a lot of admin involved!) She made sure the group ate together and were together for the excursions. The main benefit for using Experium was the pre and post cruise details - from tours of Buenos Aires and Ushuaia, selecting superb hotels and making sure everything ran smoothly even when a proposed air traffic control strike threatened to derail us. Definitely recommend this tour to see the most remarkable part of the world - truly the trip of a lifetime.

Chile & Easter Island

This was my 8th tour with Experium but my first foray into South America. Having just finished putting my photo book together I am am still in awe of how much we managed to pack in. I still feel like I have had five holidays rather one as each part of Chile we visited was so distinct in it's own way but all equally stunning. Easter Island with the Moai, the myths and legends was captivating and ending on a Polynesian island in the middle of the Pacific was perfect. As usual, Yvette had put together a full itinerary which ensured we saw the best of the both countries, stayed in the best hotels available for what we were doing and always had a suggestion for dinner whether beachside or a vibrant city eaterie. I loved it so much, Peru is booked for 2027.

Amazing experience!

The last 5 weeks have been the most amazing adventure travelling with Yvette, Experium Travels’ Director, who accompanies all of her trips. I ‘back to backed’ 2 of her trips, and included an optional add on; Antarctica, Chile’s Atacama and Southern Patagonia, and Rapa Nui (Easter island). Each day bought a new experience whether it was seeing wildlife, admiring fantastic scenery, sunrises, sunsets, seeing the Moai and hearing about myths and legends, every day has simply had the wow factor. Yvette’s organisation is faultless, even when we were threatened with an airline strike en route to Antarctica, she calmly advised us what to do with our flights, whilst she reorganised hotel bookings for a group of 20 in 2 cities, and arranged an additional trip to the National Park for us too. Nothing is ever too much trouble and ensuring all of her small group have the best possible experience every day is a goal she constantly thrives and achieves. She chooses lovely hotels in the best possible locations; tropical gardens, sunset sea views, picture windows overlooking mountains, the city centre ones are well placed for activities and restaurants. Her local tour guides are always exceptional. Yvette’s client base are a mix of solo travellers, friends and couples, all are like minded people with a love of travel who are pleased to meet up again with a previous fellow traveller from a previous trip. Experium’s trips are well planned and organised, places fill quickly and we are already looking forward to what itineraries will be offered for 2028!
