Another truly incredible holiday with Experium Travel. This trip exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Mongolia is a stunning country with warm and friendly people. The scenery was breathtaking and the itinerary ensured that we saw the best of this huge country.
The accommodation varied from the height of luxury in the capital to the unique Ger - living like a nomad in the middle of nowhere. The team and Yvette ensured that every need was catered for even before we knew what we needed. Although we went for the Eagle Hunting Festival, this was only one highlight in a trip full of them. I will forever remember this trip with a smile on my face.
Having travelled with Experium several times before and keen to explore South American countries I had not yet visited, I was very excited when the opportunity arose to travel to Colombia and what a fantastic trip it was!
A lovely group of just the right size (16) and the director of the company herself, Yvette, who arranges and accompanies all the trips. As always, everything was planned to perfection, allowing us to really get the feel of the beautiful country that Colombia is - from the capital Bogota, to Pereira in the coffee region, from the blissful peace of an amazing eco-lodge with gourmet food and stunning views high on the hills, to the former crime-ridden Medellin barrio of Comuna 13 now transformed into a thriving arts district and finally a chance to experience vibrant Cartagena on the Caribbean coast and the beautiful Rosario Islands.
All the accommodation was first class, including boutique hotels perfectly situated to allow us to sample nearby local restaurants.
All in all a wonderful experience and why I continue to love to travel with Experium and look forward to more exciting trips next year and beyond.
I've just returned from another amazing trip with Experium Travel to Colombia.
I cannot fault this company in any way.Everything is very well organised and runs like clockwork .Yvette the tour manager puts 100% into everything that she does from start to finish the reason why this is my 6th trip with Experium Travel.
When you find the most perfect travel company, you don’t really want to tell anyone about it in case future holidays are fully booked before you get chance to book yourself! Experium Travel is that company.
I’ve recently returned from my first trip with Experium, touring through Colombia. It was a perfectly curated tour, put together with experience and skill. A wonderful group of likeminded individuals along with Yvette, the owner of the company who travels with every tour, added to this spectacular experience.
I now have three more adventures booked with Experium over the next couple of years. This company is a true gem, and head and shoulders above others within the travel industry.
This was yet another amazing holiday. Colombia has been somewhere I have wanted to visit for some time and when Experium Travel offered this trip I was very happy. Colombia does not disappoint. It is a very colourful country with very friendly people. We stayed is a variety of accommodation all in great locations, some city centres, some in lovely relaxing locations, all fabulous. We had all our activities included from rum, coffee and chocolate tasting to seeing the beautifully painted buildings in the towns and snorkelling, and everything in between. Yvette included it all.
Uganda July 2025 - what a great trip! A really good group of people, fabulous and interesting hotels, always in the right place for whatever activities were planned. Walking with rhinos ( I wasn't feeling too well that day, but one of the guides was very helpful, even carried my bags for me!). Game drives where we saw (almost) everything, even a dung beetle rolling his ball of dung along. The photo of the lion in the tree will definitely be going up on the wall! Boat trips up & down the White Nile - hippos, crocs, beautiful birds, and gorgeous monkeys. Later on to see the chimps & the gorillas at Biwindi - how wonderful to spend an hour with them, and not feel nervous at all. But that wasn't the end... on our journey back towards the airport there was yet another game drive providing me with some gorgeous photos - and a stay in a beautiful lodge.
I must mention our drivers, Jude 'the fixer' who knew everybody, and sorted everything out for us, and Gerald - apparently new to Yvette, but a great guy with a good sense of humour. There were only 7 in the group, so always plenty room in the jeeps.
This was my second trip with Yvette (Brazil last year). And now I think, for these sort of trips, why would I go with anybody else?!

Great Itinerary, fantastic hotels, comfortable transport, excellent guides, wonderful food, some of the best travelling companions…Yvette and Experium Travel, did it again!
Colombia itself, exceeded all our expectations and more. We experienced so much; in the Andean regions the stunning collection of Muisca gold artefacts in Bogotá, 2 lovely young women, each passionate about the chocolate they produce and the traditions behind the ancient Muisca alcoholic drink of Chicha.
We moved onto Pierera to experience a hands on tour of a family coffee plantation and also visited a huge, stunning private collection of orchids, grown and tended by a lady with a real passion for her plants. We planted wax palms in the Cocora Valley, before moving onto Marinilla and a very relaxing stay at a Cannua Lodge, whose grounds are run on a permaculture basis. The food there was just so tasty and some of the best I’ve ever had (nothing ultra processed here, or anywhere else come to that).
Next we explored and fell in love with Medellín, once the most dangerous place on Earth because of the narcotic and guerilla cultures, now a vibrant, friendly, hopeful, forward thinking city.
When we arrived in Cartagena, the feeling was much more Caribbean, with some beautiful colonial architecture and how can you say no, to the opportunity of swimming and or snorkelling in tropical waters…?
Everywhere we went in Colombia, the street art was just stunning, the people so friendly and we were made to feel very welcome… it’s going to be a hard one to top. If you have the chance to visit Colombia or travel with Experium Travel, just do it!

My first trip with Experium and I have to say it was an amazing trip, 16 of us in the group, I'd only travelled with one of the group before but immediately the whole group just got on so well it was like we were old friends, sharing experiences of past travels, we shared the same goal to experience Columbia to the max.
The itinerary Yvette put together ensured that we got to experience so much, our local guides were so knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
Highlights included chocolate tasting, coffee picking, jeep experience including palm tree planting, hot springs, a relaxing break at an eco lodge, a tour of district 13, grafitti class, ice cream making and snorkelling.
We stayed at 5 hotels all of them were of high quality and enhanced our experience of Colombia,
The locals were keen to engage and everywhere we went felt safe, I'd definitely recommend this tour.

Well - what can I say….. this was my first trip with Experium and it certainly won’t be my last!
Greenland was an absolutely fabulous experience made so much better by Yvette's expert leadership, slick organisational skills and enduring patience as our tour leader, in addition to the company of the most delightful trip companions. This holiday was only a week long but it felt like a lot more with everything we packed in.
Yvette made sure that we experienced Greenland at its best - Icebergs in every size and shape, glaciers, whales (lots of them) and sled dogs and puppies. The scenery was quite simply, breath taking.
The trip included two nights at the off grid Glacier Lodge Eqi, staying in beautiful lodges in prime position overlooking the Eqi Glacier. The views were spectacular and the 12km Moraine hike to overlook the Glacier was immensely rewarding both for the splendid views and sense of achievement to have got to the top.
Just when you thought it was all over Yvette provided the most amazing finale - the evening sunset trip sailing through the icebergs finished off with Bailey’s and Fjord ice!
It was a real privilege to be able to experience Greenland whilst it remains relatively un discovered. Huge thanks to Experium Travel for expertly facilitating such an amazing trip.

Yet another great Experium Travel holiday by Yvette Barnes. Our tour guide, was excellent in explaining Sri Lankan culture also had a depth of knowledge in botany and zoology. What a bonus when traveling a beautiful, unique island like Sri Lanka with so much of both to share.
We travelled the length and breadth of the country from sunny sandy beaches of ---- to Nuwuyra’s rainy cool climates with rolling mountains of tea and stunning waterfalls. Was thrilled to tick my bucket list visit to Lion’s Rock and climb 180 meters into the sky to the reminants of this historic palace. Also loved the special experience of getting to meet the chief of the dwindlling indigenous hunting tribe, the Veddas. It was extra special to get to visit his village meet his people and hear their story. (I was impressed that our tour guide knew how to speak their language which is unique to the Vedda tribe)
Accommodation was excellent as is usually the case with Experium. This holiday offers the comfort of many eco-ayuverdic based hotels (Jetwing chain) with a wide range of delicious foods both local and European.
For me, the only anomaly was the first “glamping” experience which was actually more like camping. I woke with a backache from the camp bed, most of the team were too untrusting of the make-shift shower to use it and the toilet was awkwardly positioned.
The cooked food at this venue was somehow always served cold and I found the vegetarian option but strange (rice and a plain omelette, served cold). Having said all of this, the staff were sweet and caring.
I gave my feedback form to the organisation with my view that their accommodation and catering needed developing in order to attract this mature demographic of clientele (group majority age between 60 to 70’s).
Positively, in contrast the Jetwing glamping was a huge hit! Well developed lodges, with spacious wet-rooms, solar powered hot water for your shower (noted the shower head very cleverly designed from an upside-down bucket), towels folded into elephants placed on your bed each day, an outdoor fresh water pool and a chef that served some of the best food throughout the whole trip. (Homemade jams and the best sea food salad I’ve ever had in my life). There was no doubt in my mind that this chef cooked with passion! The food was so good that when it was time to go we applauded him!
On this holiday, expect to be very active, with daily early leave times and not much downtime. Designed this to way set out early to enjoy a holiday packed with a mix of adventures designed to expose you to the rich culture of Sri Lanka.
In my experience the people of Sri Lanka were welcoming, kind and warm-hearted, from every single staff member I encountered to the everyday people on the streets. Sri Lanka’s tourism slogan is “You will come back for more”. I hope one day I will!

What a fabulous experience we had in Ecuador (Quito, Amazon & Galapagos) with Experium Travel!! This is our seventh trip with Yvette and as usual the attention to detail and her organisational skills are to be applauded. We had a wonderful holiday with a group of like-minded people. The itinerary was well thought out and every day was a new adventure. We thoroughly loved Ecuador - Galapagos itself is a must do bucket list which we have now ticked!!
All in all, it was a great experience, new friends were made and now we are looking forward to the next two adventures with Experium Travel. Thanks Yvette for all your hard work to make everyone’s holiday so memorable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Seamless, Personal & Truly Special!
My two-week adventure through Uganda with Experium Travel was nothing short of incredible. From the moment I arrived, the team were attentive, warm and genuinely hardworking, ensuring every aspect of the trip was perfectly catered for. Nothing was ever too much trouble and everything ran so smoothly, allowing me to fully relax and soak up the beauty of this amazing country.
The accommodation throughout was outstanding — a great mix of comfort, style and breathtaking locations that made every stop feel special. You could tell a lot of thought had gone into selecting each place.
Of all the unforgettable experiences, the highlight was spending time with a gorilla family in the wild — something that will stay with me forever. It was truly humbling and magical.
Experium Travel delivered a tour that felt personal, seamless and deeply rewarding. If you’re considering an adventure off the beaten track, Experium are a must — you’ll be in the very best time with plenty of opportunities you would never have imagined were possible.

Travelled for the first time with this company after being recommended by someone who had travelled with them previously. I was not disappointed! The organisation and running of everything was excellent and done by Yvette, the owner of the company. Her whole purpose for the group was our total enjoyment on the holiday and she didn't disappoint, even adding little extra trips/experiences in along the way. Her energy and organisation is second to none. She has the group well organised! The holiday was fantastic. Such an array of sights. Galapagos Islands have been on my 'bucket list for a long time' so I went with high hopes. It went beyond my expectations due to the arrangements made. What was also good to see is that Yvette uses local guides, thus supporting the local communities.
Would totally recommend Yvette and her company.

I have just returned from my first trip with Experium Travel to Ecuador and the Galapagos. It was an absolutely fabulous experience, meticulously planned to offer us so many unforgettable moments. Yvette, the Director of Experium Travel, accompanied us throughout the journey, and at each destination we were supported by knowledgeable local guides. As a weak swimmer, I was especially grateful for the support I received, which allowed me to enjoy all the water-based activities, especially the snorkelling. There were so many highlights—from seeing turtles up close, as well as sharks, eagle rays, seahorses, and even hammerhead sharks, to encountering sea lions on the beaches of San Cristobal and giant tortoises on Santa Cruz. We trekked through the rainforest, explored the dramatic landscape around the lava tunnels on Isabela, and enjoyed people-watching in Quito. The accommodation throughout was thoughtfully chosen, and evenings offered relaxing downtime, spent with others from the group (if you chose to) - no one ever felt left out. I’m looking forward to my next adventure with Experium Travel.

I have just returned from a trip with Yvette, the Experium owner, to Ecuador and the Galápagos Islands. It was a fabulous holiday with a very varied itinerary and great hotels or lodges. We were a small group and everyone got on really well together. I’m sure some new friendships were formed. This was my third holiday with Experium and I have loved every on of them so next year Chile here I come.

I have just returned from the most fabulous trip to the Amazon and Galápagos Islands. This trip exceeded all expectations and more. Each day was exciting and different. So much to see and experience. The company always goes the extra mile and ensures that all clients are looked after and catered for. I have been on several trips and never been disappointed. Well done again and look forward to the next one.

An awful lot of pre planning must have gone into organising this 21 day trip to make it the experience/ adventure that it was. It simply was the trip that kept on giving . The company admits that they are not the cheapest but life experience suggests you get what you pay for - in this case the best available hotels / some extremely memorable ( for all the right reasons) meals and a local tour manager plus guides ,accompanying the excellent tour director forming a team that would be hard to better . An additional bonus for travelling with this company is the all inclusive tip policy - when even bathroom breaks are included it makes budgeting so easy . The Silk Road has been high on my bucket list for a number of years so all I can say is a massive thank you to Yvette of Experium travel and the team she employed ( plus my fellow travellers) for making it such a wonderful experience .

I have just returned from my wonderful trip to the Five Stan’s with Yvette of Experium Travel.
This was my 1st trip with this company so was a bit apprehensive b4 I went but that soon disappeared on the 1st day.
Yvette goes way beyond other tour managers, & as a solo traveler that is important very well organized, always there & added extra things on our trip without extra cost.
Which is great everything is included in the price even the tips.
Great hotels, amazing safe food so no one got sick 🤢. We had a fantastic tour guide called Jama who was amazing.

Having done many tours with Yvette and Experium Travel I booked this holiday to the Central Asian countries of the Silk Road in December 2023! The itinerary was very full but that is what I like - don’t want to miss anything! 5 countries in 3 weeks.
Yvette, as usual, had everything planned to the T and was helped along the way by Jama, from Uzbekistan, and local guides in each country. Between them all they made our passage from country to country as smooth as possible!
The countries are hugely varied and we visited the fertile Fergana valley, the Tien Shan mountains and deserts as well as the usual Silk Road cities.
The hotels were always the best that could be found for every stop and our Yurts even had private facilities!
Travel was as comfortable as possible with spacious coaches, plane, a high speed train and 4X4s that coped with the deserts well.
All totally an unforgettable experience and I will be travelling with Experium Travel again in the near future.

Returned from Costa Rica 3 days ago. My 4th trip with Experium travel. I’m a solo traveller in my 70s and this company makes the travel experience so easy. Attention to detail , everything runs smoothly. I can experience far flung countries and adventures that I just couldn’t do on my own.
Yvette the company Director put a really good Costa Rica trip together (as experienced with all of her trips)
We stayed in 2 different lodges and 3 hotels. Travelled through 6 of the 7 Costa Rican provinces, led by Herson the local guide whose knowledge of wildlife, culture, society and geography was unlimited and so enthusiastic. We saw so much. Wildlife is my thing and Costa Rica did not disappoint.
My favourite lodge was Maquenque, what a truly magical place. Awakening early to the jungle sounds, howler monkeys, macaws and numerous birds and cicadas. The early morning mist over the lagoon disappearing as the sun rose. Simply awesome.
I am looking forward to my next trip with Experium to Vietnam. Cambodia and Laos in the autumn.
