A company to avoid at all costs!

Ordered a SSD drive on the 7th AUG but never arrived. Sent various emails to which they replied that they were experiencing some delays to which I was happy to hold. Was told it was despatched and should arrive in 3-4 days. It never turned up. Emailed again and they said 5-6 days it will be with you am i willing to wait? To which I replied I was. Its now 11th Sept and still nothing apart from an email saying that the item was "out of stock" but it was advertised as "more than 10 in stock" on the website.

Now my order has been cancelled with no refund, no explanation and no reply to the 2 emails I have sent.

A very poor company if you ask me. I wish I read the reviews before I put my faith into them.

Cheap but slightly slower than other online stores.

Made an order of item on 31st August and delivery was quoted as being between 6-10th September. Called customer services on Monday who said it would be dispatched today and sure enough it's showing as dispatched today. Lots of people are having issues with late delivery but it seems that Extak source their items from Europe which might explain why the process takes so long. It's not easy getting hold of customer services but if you do they are quite helpful although you might have to try sending a few emails before you get a response via email..........lets face it they are not the only company that don't respond quickly to emails.

They have great prices so if they could clear up the 'customer services' and keep customers fully informed it would help to clear some of the bad reviews. I must admit I did have a knee jerk reaction when I saw the bad reviews but in regards to my order they should only be a couple of days over the stated delivery (if it arrives on time).

Latest update : Just received UPS tracking number via email and expect delivery tomorrow.

Would I use them again? Sure.

Terrible Company - Avoid

After identifying the product I wanted for my home network, I set about finding a supplier for the unit. I cam across the attractive website that is Extak, they were also the cheapest by a few pounds - unfortunately this is where the good experience ends! I purchased my NAS drive on the 28th August, the date today is the 11th September. After speaking with them on the 5th September and GUARANTEED delivery on the 10th September I am somewhat annoyed. I am currently on hold to their 0843 number, the timer just passed 20 minutes! Thankfully we are a communications business so the call hasn't cost us much (8.3p per minute!), however if you're calling them from a mobile - expect a fairly sizable charge on your bill. Please note that Extak EARN MONEY from your incoming calls, so the longer you are on hold the more money they make! Extak did not notify me of a delay on the item, I had to call them. Extak did not notify me of another delay regarding my delivery yesterday, I had to call them! I emailed them yesterday requesting the tracking number, which they said is in my order details (it is not!), no reply! I honestly have no idea how companies like this continue to trade. Shocking customer service and shocking delivery time. I would advise you to avoid this company, pay the extra few pounds and order from a decent online retailer.

dreadful, misleading with no customer service

Bought produce delivery 3 -5 days some 9 day later no delivery. No info from company, tried to call 08432890725 company [did websearch to find phoneine which is a premium line and I wlli be charging me for same. Indeed the phone which was answered immediatey then told me I would be waiting for some time to receive person to answer. (all of which I would be paying for) still not got goods, information on service or contactable person. very very bad, cannot recommend company or service. Am about to start a small claims court summons for money and costs.

Absolutely pathetic

I ordered a phone from Extak on 19 august, and was informed it would be with me within 3-5 working days. 10 days later, no phone. so I emailed them and was told there had been an issue with the despatch and it would be with me in 3-5 working days. it is now September 10th, and still no phone, no refund, no compensation, and no explanation. As a "trusted company", I think they're a pretty pathetic excuse for a business, as they obviously aren't concerned with their customers whatsoever.

ordered a set of 3 32gb USB drives
arrived in a few days longer than I expected, but not a deal breaker
would probably buy again as good value

Failed delivery promise

My order was placed on the 1st of September and today is the 10th and my Tablet has still not arrived. This was supposed to be my daughters 16th Birthday present. Poor service. The order tracking service was not very helpful. So i had to tell my daughter that her present is in the post. NOt good enough really. After a disgruntled email i was told my tablet would turn up on the 12th Sept. It did turn up so i thought i would add this to my review to give a fairer response

Often cheapest - Always late.

This is my fourth order now from Extak. As far as I can gather from what I've received, they import from Europe where the prices are cheaper.

This means they are very similar to buying from [external reference], except you have a UK contact for warranty purposes.

However, their lead time for delivery is exceptionally long and has been consistently late. But, they are 10% cheaper than elsewhere.

Waste of time and not bothered

Ordered a Samsung adapter cable on the 20th August and they promptly took my money - which was fine as the website stated it was in stock, however... 21 Days later!!! No cable and when I call to enquire about it the lady takes an age to answer the phone and then gives me some flannel about delivery problems which means they never had it in stock at all so they lied and took my money anyway. The lady seemed not fussed about the fact I have had to wait 20 days and said it will take a couple of more days... requested a refund and phone Samsung direct to pay a few quid more for a guaranteed service rather than waiting any more for this 2-bit company to get there act together!! never again

Appaling service

Ordered a USB joystick on 21st August, charged and invoiced immediately. Order not dispatched yet (20 days later). May save yourself a couple of quid, but just not worth the wait.

Should of Read the Reviews!

Ordered an item on the 29th of August, and was informed it will take 3-5 days to arrive. It’s now the 10th of September and my order is still stated as "Stock Assigned". I went for Extak because they were marginally cheaper on the 3TB WD Red's, but I wished I hadn't. Sent an email but I have had no response as of yet. I should of never strayed away from Ebuyer, they have always been prompt on their deliveries, with good communication and low prices. Its safe to say I will not be buying from them again, and will refer all recommendations to Ebuyer going forward. STAY CLEAR FROM EXTAK!

Laughable!

I made an order for some speakers on the 1st August..... 20days pass and i have not received the comany an email they tell me the item is no longer in stock (which they should inform me of without me having to persue it) and that they would be happy to amend my order to an alternative similar item (Fine!) 10th September and still nothing. I decide to call them and go on hold for half an hour. They inform me that they are unable to fullfil my order and that will be cancelling it in due course. errrrrrrrrrr so if i hadnt chased up my 41 day late order you would of just kept me in the dark and kept my money??? I should of received some sort of communication saying they couldnt complete my order i would be annoyed with that sure, but not insulted. Didnt get so much as an apology over the phone. Complete joke of a company you could train a pidgeon to do a better job.

UPDATE

I have spoken to this company twice today....it appears that there are a lot of customers/victims who have got orders due today.

When I spoke to them a lady on the other end of the phone played a very good part. How true what she has said is probably not at all. She said that the 2 orders I have made are in the warehouse ready to be processed and to hold on until tomorrow.

I will do this but as far as I am concerned my order will not arrive so as of tomorrow night I will be entering a dispute with my card provider. She said that the order will be processed by 4pm and when I asked if I could speak to anyone after that she said they are closed then.

Not good at all.....wish I had spent the extra on a well known retailer as much as it pains me sometimes.

UPDATE....
Spoke to them this morning and my order has been dispatched....had to ring up again for UPS tracking number but all seems ok.

Most Terrible company ever come across

This company was quick to take my money. I placed and order for a Roxio Game capture HD. £90 which i had saved up for, for a while now. I then come across this website which a cheapest i could find for this. and the delevier said order now and get it by the 6th. This was on the 31st August. I then get a email saying its will be between the 6th-10th. I went on the reviews on the 10th and saw that people been saying the same and this was after the time delivery comes to my house. i made a review saying still no item and quick to take my money. They replied saying its still due to deliver on time. yet it was late afternoon on the last day it was due(10th) I have sent lots of emails. contacted them on contact us. I tried to go on customer service, Link not found. I then get a private message for a facebook page saying this website is a scam. Im not happy i want my full refund im not waiting 10-30 days as ive seen people have. I also dotn want to give you a free 10-30 day loan of £90. now hopefully you will reply with a tracking number a confirmed date or a email saying you will refund me. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS TERRIBLE COMPANIE.

I have paid for a Logitech mouse and not received it. When I sent an email about the no-show, I receive two emails saying thanks for your email, we are cancelling your order.

Good price but expect to wait weeks for delivery

Very good price but t seems to come at a cost. Waiting for weeks for your delivery was my experience. My advice is don't take any notice of their website with regards their estimated delivery times and add at least 2 weeks on top of the estimated time if displayed. I placed an order on the 22nd August for some bog standard PC memory which was advertised as in stock on the Extak website. Today I've cancelled the order (8th September) fed up of waiting for the delivery to arrive . I did contact Extak before canceling who classed this as a "slight delay". This was for a bog std stock item!
