Amazing service & customer care
Amazing guys, had a puncture popped in they fixed it within 15 minutes for me, the garage was so so busy and they still went out of their way to help, very friendly top service provided - highly recommended
Thank you Scott!
I stopped at F1 Barnwell Road this morning, anxious to have a battery checked on my elderly mum's car. I was seen within minutes. Thank you, Scott, for tightening up the connectors and making sure it was truly safe.
The last time the battery on my own car packed in, F1 on Barnwell Road sorted it all out. The garage is local to me and I'd recommend it.

Terrible Service
Terrible. Had to return multiple times as the new brakes had not been done properly and the tracking still completely out. Ended up going to another company to have them sorted. I will not use again. Staff just poorly represent the brand with terrible behaviours told not to give my email as my account will be filled with junk mail! Wow Updated. I have contacted your customer support.

A big regret
My biggest regret was going to this centre for my bi-annual servicing.
The customer service representative was also unnecessarily rude to me on the phone.
(1.) Their quote estimate for the MOT repairs was 7x the going rate (they were trying to rip me off).
(2.) When I went to a competitor, I was asked by the customer service agent as to where had I gone to get the works done.
(3.) They processed waves of English customers (I'm not ethnically English) and they kept me waiting in the heat. They were casting smiles in my direction as I was waiting and they had not even prepared the quotation; it was both very degrading and humiliating to be treated in such a manner.
(4.) While waiting an employee mentioned that he hadn't been home for 31 hours and had been in the work building throughout this time (I'm pretty sure that's illegal).
(5.) One of the mechanics checked my car out while he was eating a sandwich, spilling crumbs over the driver seat.
(6.) There were two polite employees, who were otherwise an exception to the sea of angry staff members.
(7.) They didn't reset my service indicator, after several tries, and redirected me to the dealer. Another mechanic did it for free in 5 minutes and also felt that the oil used in F1s service was not up to scratch.
(8.) The manager told me "can you trust anything Sir. can you trust the builders will make a correct house."
I don't think I've written nearly enough about bad this place actually is since worst of all throughout there was this underlying urge by the team to provoke, goad and anger him in multiple ways and for now good reason whatsoever!

Long wait
Having bought some tyres online from Formula 1 which was fairly straightforward and pricing good. The rest of my experience was not so good.
I booked an appointment time and arrived 15 minutes early as suggested.
I asked how long it would take and was told 30-45 minutes so rather than go back to work decided to go to the nearest shop to buy a few things I needed.
I got back and my car was sitting untouched, I asked again and was told a further 30 minutes. My car was eventually taken in and the 2 tyres replaced. Next I saw that may car was the alignment ramp (I was not asked if they wanted me to do this) I queried this and was told the tracking was slightly out (my old ones had done 35k with no uneven wear).
They showed me the tracking data which showed it was out very little. I did ask the fitter if they were busy and he told me it was a slow day!
So just over 2 hours later I got out with my 2 tyres fitted. On past experience this is much too long. I just wish they could have been honest with me from the start. I am really not sure what the appointment time really means, fast fit it is not!
Very Very bad experience as always with…

Poor ...............
Dropped car off with a near side front puncture last week, they phoned and said unrepairable and the other front ones not up to much either, they quoted £80 odd quid each for budget and £47 for the dreaded wheel alignment.
Brought the car home and booked online, two Avon tyres for £60 each, went today to have them fitted , not happy I didn't want the wheel alignment.
Once home I realised they put one new tyre on the rusty spare wheel, then put the (new) spare in the boot with a loose tyre that they failed in the first place .
Went back and got fobbed off.
So they sell tyres cheap online and then look to charge £47 for wheel alignment.
Years and years of experience, high miles, lots of tyres, these are the first I've come across with this expensive alignment con?!
We all remember the fast fitter scams from the past including the stick Kwik fit got for failing shock absorbers, etc etc !!
Come on Formula one lets go back to basics and stop ripping motorists off and offer a honest service.
Customer retention is surely a goal worth working towards?

I'm not going back there again
Let me begin by saying that I am an engineer. I carry out my own servicing on my car and had changed the wheels (summer wheels to winter wheels) and given it a visual inspection before bringing it in. I know it pretty well and was confident that it would pass. I watched the test take place from the viewing area.
I was surprised that the tester gave an advisory on worn front brake pads when they in fact have around 5mm of thickness left. It seems that they're to drum up unnecessary (but profitable) work...
I was also given no emissions certificate (the tester claimed that it was "too clean"), but I have phoned DVSA who said I should nonetheless have been given a record of this result.
Once the MoT testing and inspection was complete, the tester then left the car running in the workshop for 20 minutes while he went into a back room. I queried this with the person on the front desk who claimed it was for the emissions test (but that part of the test had already been carried out and no further emissions checks were made). A second mechanic then claimed that DVSA regulations said that the vehicle "had to be running for the full hour of the test".
Both these excuses are wrong at best and possibly dishonest. Firstly, the test slots are 45 minutes long so there is no way the engine has to be running for an hour as part of the test. Secondly, the DVSA have confirmed that there is no such requirement for the engine to be running for the full duration of the MoT test (and indeed, the engine was not running throughout the whole test). Thirdly, the test was complete and the tester left the car unattended in the bay with the engine running.
On one level, I could accept if the tester had just forgotten that he'd left the car running while he went off to do the paperwork. But when two of the employees try to fob me off with b***s*** excuses, that's another matter.
The mechanics might get away with talking such rubbish to the young mother whose car they wrote off for a "dangerous" emissions failure just before mine, but they won't get away with it with me.

Complete rip off - Cambridge Barnwell road branch
Complete rip off, would never come to this again.
I booked for full service + MOT (prepaid) but end up paying an extra grand, overcharged for 6 hours labour work while it is only 2-3 hours max, and overcharged (2x) for replace parts.
Never I come to this garage again in my life. I will make sure to spread the word around to whoever I know.
I will NEVER go to this place again.
I will NEVER go to this place again.
I undeservedly, firmly, and unequivocally do not recommend this place.
I was treated impolitely, I have received a poor service, and I had to pay for the mechanics’ mistakes.
I am a University Professor in engineering --- I have a good understanding as to how tyres work.
The mechanic changed a tyre that had a puncture.
The new tyre went flat after a few days from replacement while I was driving (there was no puncture in the new tyre as confirmed by the same mechanics). The new tyre went flat because it was mounted incorrectly.
I went back to ask that this is fixed (and lost a morning of work).
First, they recognised that there was no puncture, hence the problem was when they mounted incorrectly.
Second, they did not apologise for their mistake.
Third, they made pay for the new tyre, despite the replacement was needed because of their own mistake in mounting it.
The manager was unreasonably impolite and clearly not willing to listen.
I decided to pay for the new tyre as the manager would simply not even try to help.
I was relieved to leave this place as fast as I could, with a lighter wallet as I had to pay for their mistakes. I will never come back ever again.
Friendly and kind helping with minor…
Friendly and kind helping with minor issues like a mysterious ‘tinkle’ gratis and always happy with their timely MOTs and servicing too.
Great service
Called them up to see if they could fix a slow puncture straight away, to which they said yes. That's in itself quite impressive, though I appreciate they won't always be able to do that.
Took my car there and they discovered it wasn't a puncture, but a slow leak from the valve. They tightened it up for me and when I went to pay they said there was no charge as there was no puncture.
They've spent time on my car and were fully entitled to charge me something, but didn't - that's first class service and a sign of a company that cares about keeping customers long term.
