I made an appointment for a technical inspection at the Canterbury service a week ago. I have been driving here for years, of course I knew their phone number. So I got an appointment for Wednesday 27/08/2025 at 8:30 am. I arrived earlier than the agreed time, then I was surprised. The Formula 1 car center had disappeared, nothing was there, just the ground. They are building a new garage. So how did I get an appointment for 8:30?? Of course I called the service number, after a good 10 minutes they answered. I told them my story and why they didn't inform me that Canterbury was closed. Why did they give me an appointment at the Broadstairs service if I wasn't informed. On the phone they said that the colleague who booked the appointment should have told me that Canterbury was closed. He didn't!! Zero customer service. Huge disappointment.

After a really traumatic experience at a different garage called in Formula one Canterbury. I was met in reception by Ben who I explained I had a problem with my car and had been given a list by a garage close by of work required and had been treated in a not very polite way by them. He looked at my list and said he would have a look if I was able to wait. After he and his team looked he told me most of the work on my list was not needed. He told me what was and gave me a price. He and his team did the work. He spoke to me with respect and was very professional. My car runs like a dream. I am very happy with my experience and would wholeheartedly recommend.
I had my car mot'd of course full of dread but all went well. Ben the manager I think was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable on advice for my tyres. 💯 I will go back and get my tyres replaced and serviced.
Always there to help, genuine guys willing to go the extra mile. Wouldn't go anywhere else now
Cheap MOT to entice you in then scam you with false fail to make there money back.

Would not go back to formula 1. No trust in them. Have taken my car elsewhere for repairs. When spoken to on the phone. Was made to be felt like I had no understanding of my own car or how it works and felt patronised, even to the point where they said that I might have caused the issue myself.

Why is my partner and our 3 children (one new born) still on your canterbury site when we arrive at 8.55 and was booked in for 9.00.
This is unacceptable, what is going on down there?

Excellent service once again on my Mini countryman and new run flats. Cannot fault the Manager for r his time and helpfullness plus the staff were very courteous. I would day one thing and its certainly not a criticism of the Canterbury team but Formula One in general, basically I had to wait some time in the shop and it was absolutely freezing, I can't believe you can't sort out the hesting in this day and age.
The whole process from start to finish was superb .. great value and the staff where very pleasant .. 3 tyres changed in 50 mins .. great service ..
We contacted the Canterbury branch at quite short notice to have our front brakes replaced on our Grandland, very honest and upfront, checked the rear brakes for us just to make sure they didnt need changing also. Called us back not long after we dropped it off to let us know what needed doing, All done by about 1pm. Really happy, will use again, Thankyou.
Canterbury centre.
Clio in for an interim service. Service was ok
But when they said the car needed new brake shoes on the rear. Oh dear. (Rip off) comes to mind.
£545.00 …. Total. New shoes and two new cylinders.
Asked Formula 1 Basingstoke depot, he quoted me £191.00
..I eventually used MrClutch (Canterbury). £179.00.
Need I say more …..?.?
Never will I use them again. They thought I was someone who had no idea. Picked the wrong person to “Rip Off”. Tried to say it needed new brake drums. The other garage said it most certainly doesn’t need new drums
Brilliant, walked in with a simple tyre pressure software failure, thinking the tyres are gone but the manager just came out and reset the whole thing as a good gesture.
The staff were all very good.
Manager was very polite as was the rest of the team.
It was early Sunday (and Father's Day). I had a 96 mile journey home - rogue nail in tyre, irreparable. Formula One in Canterbury were open, had the specific tyre I needed and they couldn't have been more helpful. The manager was just the best, really helpful, made the whole process totally stress free - for me!! Can't recommend them highly enough.
Booked tyres via a 3rd party website and selected Formula One as the fitter. When I arrived for my original fitting the garage claimed to have no knowledge of my booking and said they hadn't received my tyres. They also said they were too busy to fit them even if they had arrived. I phoned the customer service team at Asda Tyres who confirmed 1. My booking had been confirmed to the fitter and 2. My tyres had been sent to the fitter earlier that day. Eventually I had to re book with another fitter a couple of days latter, causing me inconvenience and wasted time. New fitter did a good job in the time agreed. I had a previous bad experience with this garage but gave them a second chance, my mistake.

Had tyres booked in, they arrived from the external company I ordered from late. Appreciate it wasn't' fault of tyre fitters. Anyhow they still proceeded to work with me on getting them fitted once they arrived. On the Monday they called and got me booked in promptly and did a good job. Can't complain.
Excellent company we always use them because they are efficient, reasonably priced and very good at keeping you informed. The staff are very friendly and helpful
Fitted us in at short notice & very helpful.
Excellent customer care.
Thank you
Had a really good offer for 2 Cross Climate tyres, around £40 cheaper than everywhere i looked. Ordered the tyres for fitting at my local centre, arrived on the day, tyres fitted all OK, on the way home TPMS alarmed as you might expect. Got out of car & looked at the rear drivers side & thought that the Rotation arrow didn't quite look correct, then realised that wheel would have to be on the opposite side to be correct, went to the opposite tyre & that was the same. They had changed 2 tyres & then managed to put the wheels on the incorrect side of the vehicle. I did get an email apology from the Area Manager & an offer of £20 voucher for future purchase but nothing that is on offer or if using discount codes. I actually turned down the £20 voucher as I told him there was no point as I don't intend to use them again after they put me at potential risk of having an accident.
