Cowley, Oxford. A good garage experience. Courteous, quick and did the work properly. No corners cut. Several vehicles undergoing major repair work so capable of repairs on most vehicles. Happy to return and take my Audi Q5 in for a service etc at rates much less than an AUDI dealership. Booked two tyres and a 4 wheel alignment through Asda who use F1Autocentres as agents for such work. F1 Oxford fitted the tyres with balancing, new valves, a careful alignment test and rectification of misalignments particularly on one wheel which had uneven tyre wear. Asda said I would pay F1 extra for valves? Incorrect. Generally F1 prices seem lower eg. Asda wheel alignment £90. Free check at F1, if adjustment needed price £50.

I booked a service online for a Sunday, paid £165 upfront, and received a confirmation. Upon arrival, I was told they don't service cars on Sundays. Instead of apologizing or owning their booking error, they blamed me for trying to book that day. My time was completely wasted, and now I have to wait 5-7 days for my refund. Unacceptable experience.

Ryan kindly did a diagnostic check on my car on a Sunday at short notice and we arranged for me to come back for a full check a few days later. It turned out I needed a new battery that they sourced and replaced within a few hours. All of this was done on what was clearly a really busy day for them. Ryan and Jude were both particularly helpful. I couldn’t recommend them highly enough, an absolutely wonderful service!

I brought my van in 3 weeks ago for a wheel alignment, tyre change, stabiliser link and track rod ends replacement and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service. From start to finish, the team was professional, efficient, and incredibly helpful.

The manager, Ryan provided top-notch customer service, taking the time to explain everything clearly and ensuring I was happy with the work being done. The wheel alignment was spot on, and the new tyres have made a huge difference to my driving experience.

The whole process was smooth and hassle-free. If you’re looking for a garage that’s reliable, knowledgeable, and friendly, I highly recommend them.

I recently visited my local branch for an MOT. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience so much easier than I expected. Would definitely use this place again and recommend to others.

Very good experience and quick service. I needed my tyres swapped over along with the tpms valves. Ryan and Jude assisted me throughout. Would definitely recommend!

Turned to f1 Crowley (most local garages were closed for Christmas) late in the day when on a long journey my car developed a mega oil leak. Jude on the desk and Nelio the mechanic could not have been more helpful, quickly identifying the problem and sourcing the necessary part, despite the fact that their supplier was past his cut-off time. Got me on my way in time to continue my journey and all for a very reasonable price. One further detail that may be helpful - I was told that this branch is under new management.

Friendly and helpful both at reception and mechanic that happened to be at reception when I collected the car. MOT was discounted. I dropped off the car and was told to come back in a hour. Popped to Lidl opposite did a Christmas shop and car was ready when I returned.

Very good helpful service, better than a named car dealership/garage.

Formula One Autocentres - Cowley, Oxford

I was left feeling very disappointed and annoyed after dealing with F1 Autocentres - Cowley. To help me compare different garages for a straightforward brake job I used Fixmycar.com to obtain quotations. Although not the cheapest quote, we decided to use F1 because they were convenient. I rang to book the car in and came in on Sunday as agreed to drop my car off only to be told that they don't do brake jobs on a Sunday because they can't get the parts. Whilst there though I confirmed the price for the job obtained through Fixmycar with the Manager. We took the car back today at 10am as agreed. About 30 minutes later I received a call saying that instead of the agreed £407 the work would cost £679, an increase of 67%. I believe that this is a scam as I expect they think most people will say okay then and pay the extra especially after leaving the car. There was no reason given for the increase and the original quote just seems to be a way of getting people in. I am especially disappointed as I checked the price on my first visit. Luckily, we were able to collect the car and go somewhere else, who described F1 Autocentre - Cowley as a bunch of cowboys.

My experience is that I have to agree with that assessment.

There seemed to be no acknowledgement from anyone I spoke to that they were at fault or should honour a quote issued on their behalf. If the quotes don't take into account the make and model of the car then what is the point of being on Fixmycar.

This is the worst garage I have ever encountered, the worst maintenance staff, and the worst service. If you don’t want to waste your money, don’t patronize this company. Especially a maintenance staff named Shahid. He call him is the manager of the store, but the service quality and technology are really unimaginable.

My friend Jack and myself have recently used Formula One Autocentres garage in Cowley, Oxford and we were very impressed with professional service and excellent customer service of all staff in the garage. We have a very old car and
the staff there was very helpful, friendly and patient when explaining the problems and repairs. We were so impressed with their service that have already recommended their services to our friends.

We had a run flat blow on the A34 Oxford, formula one tyres s at Oxford, did not have the tyres but Chris suggested we ask the AA to take us on to our destination, which they did. At the same time he called Stratford on Avon branch, who organised the tyres for the next morning, we stayed at our hotel, BMW recovery and a spare tyre took us to Stratford, we were straight in, and price matched as well!!5** all round.

They have so many one stars in google reviews. I wanted to put a review here as well so people are not misguided. I have done a full service + MOT there and now I am not sure if they have actually done the service or they just said they did because of all the lack of communication and incompetence. They don't seem to care about the reviews though, I guess this is because all of the garages are fully booked these days.

Booked an MOT online at the Cowley Branch.
Car was inspected at the agreed time. One advisory with the exhaust was highlighted for repair. Everything else was fine.
Good thorough and honest service from F1 Autocentres.

My car decided to start flashing a service light, I rang these, in a flap as my husband calls it, and they were not only able to fit my car in but service it before the end of the day so I can still get to work and take my daughter out for her birthday.

The young men at your Oxford branch went out of there way to fix my car I can not praise them high enough hopefully see you all next year

Excellent service given by the Cowley team. Very friendly and they go above and beyond. Very impressed, they have done my tyres and more recently my MOT. Took the time to show on the car and explain to me any advisories from the MOT.
Highly recommend!

Fast, efficient service, friendly professional staff.

We highly recommend formula one, crashed the car they gave it a good check over for safety and changed a tyre for free, excellent and friendly service, cannot recommend them high enough, very good experience. 10/10
