Formula One Autocentres - Crewe Reviews 

I arrived promptly & asked for a favour to take off front n/s & rear o/s. But the gentleman (poss called Dave) said they were far to busy to do that. There was 1 car being repaired at that time. I said ok no worries, please replace both o/s tyres & asked how long it would take at 9.50am & the gentleman said 30 to 45 mins. I arrived back at 10.45am to find only my car in the garage, still being repaired & the lads were on a break. More importantly they were in the process of replacing both n/s tyres.

Not a very happy customer I had quite a few choices of garages that I could have gone to, but I chose Formula 1 Autocentre Crewe as previously I had received excellent service.

Sadly I will not be returning to get both of the o/s tyres replaced.

Also my MOT & Service is due in May 2024 of which I was going to ask for a quote, instead I will put my faith in a Vauxhall main dealer.

I spoke to possibly the Manager & expained what was happening & he said they could not remember what I had requested. I said that I did not think the gentleman was listening to me. I left at 11.00am & still the only car in the garage.

Bit of a disaster on the service that stripped the threads on the sump. They must have known It was not tightening and gave the car back only to leak oil over my drive ! A bodged attempt to fix it by covering the sump nut with silicone sealant which they did not say and I spotted by looking underneath. Back again and a few days later replaced my sump. 3 days and one night they had my car all due to over tighten. Over the last few days various warning lights including Engine and ESP service - far too coincidental and now booking into a main dealer to get checked out properly at even more expense - Never using again.

Missus booked her car In for a full service this Sunday, we live 3 mins away from garage, brought the car home and let it sit for a few hours and checked the oil and filters and other items as per full service and nothing done absolute cowboys

What can I say about Formula one Crewe came out to a flat tyre rang them up said they were busy but I took the wheel off and dropped it in .Spoke the the Manager Jame very helpful .said be done by one and it was even though they were busy .would definitely recommend these guys in Crewe

went to the Crewe branch on the morning of Friday 2nd Feb to enquire about tracking rod ends on my car. The gentleman that assisted me and got a price was very helpful and informative, and even took the time to interact and acknowledge my 3 year old.

I was cheeky enough to ask if they could be fitted the following day, Saturday 3rd Feb, as I do alot of motorway miles and ferrying my little one around. And was told it was not a problem and they could squeeze me in.

When my car was in having the work carried out, the technician called me to let me know that they also found an issue with a tyre. And they had already checked prior to the call to see which/if they had a suitable tyre in stock and talked me through the suitability and features, so I could make a fully informed choice.

The car was also ready ahead of time.

Excellent service as usual. Used them for years and kept us on the road. Dave who dealt with us was very helpful and knowledgeable!!

Booked MOT/Service.Few days later got an email saying ''sorry we made a mistake,slot no longer avaialable,phone service centre''.
Folks,ditch these Mickey Mouse Companies and go elsewhere like Kwik Fit.Put these Companies out of business.Time wasters.Ditch them.

My car was perfectly functional until arrive to this mecanic!! I spent 1360£ for sort all out and instead they give me back a tractor not a car... 3 weeks stay the car there and for nothing!! Whorst then before!! I hate to say but is the whorst....definitly I do a claim!!

This company does not know how to mend a puncture but they do know how to sell you a brand-new tyre instead !

Wife’s car in for a service and they’ve rang her saying the tyres need tracking sorted. She’s just agreed which had she had asked me I’d say no as I am about to have the front tyres changed as they are very close to the legal limit now (they are 1.8mm). She’s joked when she has picked the car up that they’ve got her in trouble with me asking her to track the wheels as they need changing so I’d have it done then. The response was they have 5mm on so it’s fine to have them tracked. The invoice and report even state they have 5mm on when they are FAR below this. If something as blatant as this is missed and un needed extras thrown in, what else has been missed??

Took my car in for its MOT. They passed it but gave me some advisories. Over the phone said that my break disks have worn down to 2mm but if they go to 1.5mm they would have had to fail. They offered to replace them straight away for £200. I said no as I can replace them myself. Came to replace them to find they were scare mongering (I assume because I'm a female who they think wouldn't know anything about cars). My break discs were at 6mm and didn't need replacing however I did anyway so I don't have the same issue again.

Had very poor service from this company! Car serviced there and had new brakes and discs all round prior to MOT. Car failed its MOT because they had left off a spring clip from the rear discs. This was sorted by the MOT garage. Then the Brand new discs warped after a few hundred miles, took the car back, they fitted a second pair of discs without quibble TBF but again few hundred miles, the same. Took the car back and again they replaced, I did suggest at this point that maybe manufacturers discs maybe be the way to go, ill supply them free and Formulae one can refund me for the discs they had fitted. Anyway they suggested trying one more pair of their discs, which were their premium brand discs and again a few hundred miles same issue. Car again retuned and they said they'd fit the manufacturers discs but they wouldn't be refunding me!!!! I decided to take the car elsewhere (to the garage, One Stop, that did my mot and sorted the brake clip) as i didnt want to pay out for the discs and again the issue happen due to poor workmanship. Anyway i explained to them the issue and when they stripped down the brakes they could see NO cleaning of the faceplates had been done, no sliders cleaned and advised they weren't seated properly and hence the issue. The brakes are now fine! Very unhappy with this company and clearly the workmanship here is very sloppy.

I had 9 quotes for four tyres and formula 1 out beat them all by far.

I took my car there just to have some gaiter wheel trims put on they took the front two tyres off and fitted them then said I needed new discs and breaks. I agreed for them to do them got ripped off with the price also they for got to put my locking nuts back on tight with then later on unknown to my knowledge the driver side came off and the passenger side was very loose so I ended up having to get 4 new locking nuts . Very shabby job and they should have checked before I drove away

Every time I’ve been to this garage the service has been brilliant. The staff are so helpful and efficient. Took my daughters car there today with a suspected slow puncture, they took it in straight away and it turned out to be the tyre valve, which they replaced with NO CHARGE!! Absolutely recommend, wouldn’t hesitate to use them for any service in the future. 5*

Rang up on Monday after having a huge quote off seat after a service for work that needed doing. Car was booked in with formula one for today (Friday) all work was done there and then and they were so welcoming and fair with the pricing. They went above and beyond and I can’t thank them enough. They showed me every part that needed replacing and reassured me about everything. I will always use this company now for any work that I need doing. I’m going in Monday for a brake fluid change and they worked around my time and schedule. They’re absolutely brilliant! Thankyou so much
