I got at F1 autocentres (southend on sea) at 13:25, my booking was for 13:30 for fitting of 2 tyres ordered online from etyres.co.uk. Mario - Manager told me that the tyres that I ordered are not on site because they weren’t delivered to them and the fitting of the tyres is not possible.

Poor customer service at the fitting centre.

The service manager bent over backwards to help me, squeezed me in when there wasn't any appointments left. The service was excellent.

Amazing customer service!! Everyone was so kind defo recommend. Alex was brilliant and got me seen only 15 mins after I called!! Use these guys!! Ditch the others…..

Highly recommended. Thanks to Josh and his team for checking our car to see that it was safe to drive after I heard a sound from the suspension. All ok. Thanks again.

I am extremely happy after visiting my local formula one autocentre as firstly Josh at the help desk was very polite and helpful talking me thru everything he would do and how much it would cost if I wanted to go ahead.
He was very helpful explaining different ways to pay.
The work was done the same day a call told me wen my car was ready for collection. I am very satisfied.

Reception chap really helpful and respectful. Although busy, and manning the reception on his own, he remained at ease and we didn't feel under any pressure. He gave us sufficient time to explain the problem which he immediately set about to resolve. It was an easy, pleasant and enjoyable experience.

I had booked my car mot and received a confirmation followed by a reminder to turn up on the day 15 mins earlier than the appointment time, which I duly did. On arrival I was told that the booking was not on the system even though I showed the representative the email confirmation. I was advised that it was not his fault and that there was nothing he could do except offer me an alternate that was both inconvenient and also the car mot would have expired if I needed to drive it anywhere for any repairs required. Also the representative was rude and most unhelpful.

My daughter took her car in for rear brakes. A noise was coming from the rear. They said rear were fine but changed discs and pads on the front. Less than a week later the rear brakes failed completely leading to the car having to be recovered back to them. It then needed far more than just new shoes. They gave a small discount but still made a profit from their incompetence. This was the final straw as I could give a couple more recent examples of selling parts that were not required on my other vehicles. Not the firm it used to be

Had two tyres fitted at a very competitive price. They swapped the tyres around and did a safety check on my car. All good. I couldn’t fault them.

Terrible experience, had my partners car mot'd today at the Southend branch on which it failed for a bulge in the tyre, whilst I can't say it wasn't there I can definitely say it wasn't there yesterday when I done the rear brakes however this isn't the issue, the issue is that they then rang her and told her she HAD to have alignment and a tyre at a cost of over £200, I rang them and told them to do the tyre only, when we got there its was a cheap/midrange Churchill tyre for £121 and when I questioned why it cost more than a premium tyre I was told because it comes with puncture repairs for a year so was sold something we didn't ask for or want, then he proceeded to insinuate my Mrs was lying about not being told she didn't have to have alignment...never will we take any of the 4 vehicles we have to them ever again

Bank Holiday Sunday...flat tyre just what I need, phoned up f1 in Southend...Rick answered, prayer one answered...had what I need pop in he says...after changing to the temporary spare (lot of swearing) got there...
Greeted with a smile and was made to feel welcome..very professional and the work was done with no fuss, the lads doing the work very courteous and professional.
Bad morning turned into a really good morning.

Ricky and Archie in the Southend Branch (Sutton Road) couldn't have been more helpful or straightforward in investigating a tyre problem with my wife's mini. I've used Formula 1 for many years and was again really happy with their service today.

Had the shock of an MOT fail with a list
of Advisories. Were initially told it would cost over £400 to get it passed!

Requested the quote in writing but many excuses were given, so had to discuss verbally instead. It was then revealed the work quoted was for replacing the joints not just the dust caps that failed. THEY decided we needed that work
on top of the MOT fail for dust covers, yet they made it seem we needed this work done urgently to get the MOT.

He (Ricky) painted a picture of a very dangerous scenario, made me feel he was actually trying to do me a favour in the long term. Also as it was a Friday afternoon, there was some pressure added to get the work done and then I was told their tester was going to be away the following week and we would be left without an MOT. Adding insult to injury, Ricky offered a small discount as I am an Nhs worker, saying he will ‘give something back’ wow!

Bring on a second opinion/retest somewhere else. The actual MOT fail work (if genuine) would be £84!! Yet on retest and close inspection of the ‘failed and dangerous’ dust covers, the car passed!!
The alarming failures, are only advisories, the joints have all been checked and they are not worn, or compromised and do not need immediate replacement, even as a precaution. Price £30!
Even their MOT fee is less!! No need to panic, no urgent issues requiring hundreds of£’s of work!

The list of advisories from F1 Southend seem to be designed to worry us into spending money we don’t have; totally underhand, an abuse of their responsibility as a test centre, and morally wrong, especially in the times we are all in. Furthermore, worth a mention that if you were selling or having your car valued, the list would be visible to perspective buyers.

Our vehicle IS safe, roadworthy and not in need of Immediate works at all, shame on you.

I DO NOT recommend this place for MOT, and my advisory is if they do this for MOT then what more do they get away with when people entrust their vehicles for other work too?
Do yourself a favour and don’t trust this place with your vehicle, or your wallet!!

I called to get a price on 2 normal tyres and got quoted nearly £400 fitted .
When I recovered from the shock I popped to a local independent who quoted me £200 for the exact same product and job. If you have money to throw away use this place.

Went to the Southend Branch and they could not have been a better bunch of lads. Very helpful and honest advice given and Ricky was so helpful I will be returning when I need anything done on my care. will also recommend to everyone I know who needs a helping hand with their car. I would give them 10 stars if it was possible to do so.
