Living 250 miles away from my daughter it good to know the guys that work at the St Helens Merseyside branch have been absolutely trustworthy and polite I would highly recommend them to any father that has a daughter that's living in St Helens well done guys you've been brilliant

Went in f1 at 5.15pm with a nail in my tyre i was told to come back in the morning as they have turned the compressor off with closing time 6pm now i know the nail is going no where but refuse a customer just trying to make his car safe cause your lazy speaks volumes about and the company

GOOD OLD FASHIONED SERVIS YOU THOUGHT YOU COULDNT GET ANYMORE. 20/02/2025.
I needed four tyres, and couldn’t get the make I wanted anywhere, When I looked at the F1 site they were available so I ordered them. Shortly afterwards though, I Got a very apologetic call explaining that they too had no stock,but they very courteously explained that they were on back order and offered alternatives.
Then Andy at the StHelens Atlas St. branch very patiently helped me choose an alternative brand. He was extremely helpful and reassuring. This is the second time I’ve been to F1Autos. It won’t be the last. Many thanks to Andy and his team.

I arrived for my chosen appointment 20 mins beforehand. On arrival I was informed that I should've been there 4 hours before. I showed my booking stating 12.30 along with the reminder that was sent to me the day before with the 12.30 time. The manager showed his booking screen which indeed said 08.30. He offered me alternate times but none were suitable for me, it was decided that I would return the following day at a time that suited me. The work was carried out with no further problems in an excellent speedy manner by all at the St. Helens Centre.

Absolutely useless. We booked a tyre repair online (my husband rang to see what time we would need to take the car in the next day. The guy we spoke to said we just bring the car in the morning) my husband arrived first thing in the morning to be told that they are fully booked and would need to come in at 3.

We brought the car in and they apparently fixed the tyre. NOPE the tyre was down again the next morning. We took the car back again. They told us that the valve wasn't fitted correctly and they replaced it and apparently fixed the tyre. Well NOPE tyre went down again.

It took my husband 5 mins and a jug of water to find the actual puncture right near the side wall of the tyre ( therefore irreparable)

This is something that should have been identified the very first time that we went. Unfortunately they wanted to make some quick money out of us. They all won't refund us despite their negligence.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

I had 2 punctures only half a mile from the garage. They couldn’t come out but assured me that as soon as the AA got me to them, they had the correct tyres in stock to replace them and as quickly as possible.On closer inspection, my other 2 tyres were also ready to be replaced. It was a bit of a shock, but Andy insisted I was shown the issues before any work commenced. I was told how much it would cost and agreed to collect the car later when all 4 tyres had been replaced. The whole team were very helpful and pleasant, helping to alleviate a very stressful morning ( I had had to wait in -2 temperatures for 2.5 hours for the AA). I was very satisfied with the considerate service and would definitely recommend them.

Great service. 5Star. (Edited 11.07.24 - Sorry I forgot to mention its the Formula One Autocentre at Atlas Street St.Helens WA9) - Extremely helpful, courteous and professional, that coupled with the cheapest tyres around, what more could you ask for. I will definitely be using them again, and as I found out they also do servicing, I will no longer be using the over-expensive main dealer. This F1 centre can have all my business in the future. Thanks.

Amazing service
Needed a new car battery asap to get to work and this garage within two hours of me ringing them had a new battery ordered in, fitted and called me to say it was ready to collect. Amazing, will be returning to this garage again for anything else needed for the car. Thank you !!

I have been going to F1 autocentre in St.Helens for many years and I won't go anywhere else. I have always found them to have the best prices for tyres for all the cars i have owned and for my family's cars and their customer service is excellent. They are friendly and accommodating and I can trust their advice. Thanks again for a great service when fitting my new tyre last Friday. My husband will see you on Monday morning!

Friendly fast efficient service to repair a puncture, highly recommended

My daughter went about a distinctive knocking on her car, they fitted new break pads and disks and a new spring on passenger side front suspension. When she picked the car up she was charged £430 and was told the knocking sound was still present but the car was safe to drive. After another week she decided to to get a second opinion on the knocking. Just by moving the wheel the mechanic said the noise was coming from the suspension and the car was dangerous to drive, this was replaced and the noise was gone. We were told that Formula1 should have found the fault easily, and any decent mechanic would of seen this. We went back to Formula 1 and complained but was told that it was safe to drive but admitted the suspension had gone. I was told to come back 2 days later to speak to the manager who might offer a MOT or Service free of charge, this manager informed me that he was unwilling to offer any kind of compensation in any form. My Daughter had been travelling to work for 2 weeks in a unsafe car doing 40 miles a day. Thank god we went to a responsible garage with competent mechanics who made her car safe, I wouldn't trust Formula 1 with a push bike.

Recently had oil trouble with my car and the staff have helped me out free have charge! They have been really supportive

Place and order on asda tyres for next day fitting and a minute after receive confirmation someone from F1 autocentre Saint Helens call me and explain my that my tyres can't be fitted because had a broken machine. Why not said this to asda before? Why waiting until someone been booked to try to cancel his order? So i have to wait for refund until order a new tyres. Never again F1 service. Pls everyone avoid.....
