Worse Experience Yet from an AutoCentre.
Booked in via Black Circles for 4 new tyres, fitted at a cost of nearly £800.
I arrived 5 minutes before my appointment as requested, nobody spoke to me or attended the reception until 10 minutes past my appointment time. Okay, but not the best start.
Told I’d have to bear with him (I didn’t comment on me waiting) and he’d fit me in eventually. Erm, I had a pre-arranged appointment?! Anyway I waited and several minutes later the same chap appeared and told me I’d ordered the wrong size tyres. I said in fact I hadn’t, the previous tyres from the previous owner were non standard size, the ones I wanted fitting were the BMW recommended standard size tyre. He conceded he didn’t know and was just going from the previously fitted tyre size. Quite a departure from, “you’ve ordered the wrong size tyre,” - Fact! No problem, I remained polite, so did he & the tyre was fitted and I only had to wait an hour. Standard really.
I got my car back and noted that the brand new 1 day old M Performance Car Mat on the drivers side was absolutely filthy, no paper mats employed here. Hoover, nope. 3 rounds of scouring it with washing up liquid and hosing it down at home and it’s just starting to look a bit cleaner. Not impressed! The tyre pressure indicator on the car was sounding, a quick glance at the iDrive and the rear nearside was at 37psi, the rear offside at 33psi and the front tyres were at 33 and 32. So random tyre pressures. Also in driving home the vibrations and oscillations from the car were significant. This was new as the drive there had been smooth. As I sorted the tyre pressures at home I could see that the rear offside wheel had no balance weights on it, the nearside an old rusty one. The rear wheels hadn’t been balanced at all. I took the car to another garage (I’d lost faith in Formula One by this stage) and asked for a wheel balancing service on all 4 wheels. Every single wheel, even the front wheels which were supposed to have been balanced were significantly out of balance. Driving home from the second garage, the drive was back to being smooth and comfortable.
So they kept me waiting, tried to give me incorrect information in an accusatory way regarding correct tyre size, damaged my property, slap dash tyre pressures (random) and didn’t complete the wheel balancing and didn’t do the front wheels correctly.
Last time I use Formula One. Avoid!

Went to Tunbridge Wells branch on a bank holiday, and received prompt and friendly service and a smaller bill than I had anticipated. Recommend highly! Thanks guys
Extremely slow service
Tyres should have been fitted 3days ago however they apparently had not been delivered. Booked in today only one member of staff was friendly and helpful, youngish lad with dark hair who gave us the keys back.

This could be a first!!!
This could be a first! I had a service at F1 in Tunbridge Wells. As an experiment I photographed my invoice ..uploaded it to ChatGPT and simply asked "is this fair". Within seconds I received a full analysis of costs of spares and labour with comparisons against national averages, and a final statement "yes it is". It rated the service 8.5/10 ..so I have passed that on to Trustpilot This must represent the future of checking invoices (and quotations)!!
Have used this company so many times.
Have used this company so many times.
Do not complete work they say they have, charged for allignment no completed.
Constantly change appointments with new excuses (sick staff machines not working)
Do not do work listed for them to do on days booked.
Damage wheels when changing tyres, under inflate tyres, do not change paid for valves.
Lie on mot tests to make money on new tyres and brakes when all tyres inspected to be okay and recent brakes changed! Even failed a brand new steering rack.
Liers and goes up to management level ,
Save yourself money and time and go elsewhere !! Be warned !!

Booked mot arrived and was told can’t do test as did not have the equipment. Had new ramps fitted 7 months previous and whatever was needed to check my t5 transporter was not availiable. When I booked the test why was I not told it could not be done instead of me driving to the centre to be told then. Have had issues with this company before but decided to give them another chance, but that’s the last time I will use them. Called regional manager, but no response as yet.

Really happy with the service I…
Really happy with the service I received today. I booked fitting of two front tyres online 16th June and had them fitted today ( 17th). I think booking online you get a discount and I was very pleased with the price of the budget tyres. Phillip was manning reception at the Tunbridge Wells when I arrived and wow, what a lovely guy. He was dealing with a constant stream of phone calls but remained calm, polite and cheerful. I can't remember the guys name who fitted my wheels but he was equally polite and professional too. Phillip is definitely an asset to this company! They found an additional problem with my car and kindly sent a quote via email for me to look over before going ahead- I have a mechanic I use for any bits that need fixing- but I might go ahead as use these guys. It was reassuring to be able to watch all the work being undertaken today at this garage/ auto centre and after reading some negative reviews, I was a little apprehensive about booking but now I'm glad I did. Only one noticable thing is I dont think they had a chance to do the free ' summer check ' but thats understandable as they were very busy and a man down. Overall, a good experience
Waste of time and money
Due to the poor or non-functioning air conditioning, I decided to go to this workshop because they offered a good price for cleaning and re-gas. I had an appointment at 1pm but unfortunately had to wait over an hour for my turn. Finally the service was done and I could go home. Unfortunately after a few days it turned out that the air conditioning was not cooling. In connection with this I tried to contact several times but no one answered the phone. I wrote an email to customer service and in response I received a message that someone would contact me, but no one even called. After a few days I managed to call but was told they couldn't help me and I had to find a specialist to repair it. I was told that they don't check the tightness of the system before recharging. They only check after re-gassing to see if it blows cold air and that's it. Wasted £65.

Thanks so much to Adam and team for getting my daughters car repaired today. They worked hard to make sure we got the car back in time for an important journey tomorrow. Thanks again, you were all friendly and professional and we will definitely be using your services again.
Uncaring g service
Booked in for 2 tyres at 2.15 pm 27.01.25
when I arrived they said one of the tyres was damaged so they could only fit 1 (It would have helpful to have been advised before I made the journey)
They said they would fit the other 1 the next day.
I phoned the next morning at 9.23, Adam said he was not there yesterday and did not know if my tyre was there as he was busy sorting out his emails but would phone me back . At 11.43 I phoned again Adam told me that the tyre was there but the machine had broken down. I asked when would it be fixed and he said he didn't know as the repair team were a load of "Chocolate teapots "he suggested I take the tyre to Tonbridge and get them to fit it-
When I came to collect the tyre I was told Adam had fixed the machine and the tyre was fitted.
At no time was an apology given and Adam never met me. I got the impression that they just didn't care.
Great customer service for my mot and

***TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, DO NOT USE THIS PLACE***
***TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE, DO NOT USE THIS PLACE***
I called last week on the understanding I had a booking for Wenesday morning. I arrived ON Wednesday morning, when trying to speak to Chris to tell me I HAD a booking not only did he tell me he had no record of it he went on to read out the details of ANOTHER customer, name, number etc (GDPR?) despite me having to say no twice.
Thats was only the start, he was obviously very stressed and was having a very bad, which we all get, but you do not take it out on your customers. After telling me he would take the car in anyway, making it sound like he was doing me a favour!? Inbetween the swearing and information he told me he was 'Ready to give the keys to this place back and walk away' did not fill me full of any confidence. The parts required I had provided and simply requested for the to be fitted, I made that clear when I rang last week. He said ok the car will be ready for you later this afternoon, when I was told last week on the phone it would be done while I would wait, so I had no choice but to call my wife to come and collect me, leaving me to change my plans for the day and inconveniencing us. So that was that, later on in the day I got the call had to get a lift back and collected my car. On the way back home it was instantly obvious that the car was pulling to the right and after it was claimed the car was aligned correctly it clearly wasnt, so I called them back u and informed Chris who sounded very annoyed about it and said bring it in tomorrow. I needed the car in the morning and had to do motorway driving, with the car being the way it was I did not have a choice with the way it is and it did not feel safe to drive, so I brought it back again, I walked in. first thing he said to me was 'Give me your keys then' still looking fed up and annoyed, not a good afternoon sir, or even a hello. So he did it and I went and sat in the waiting room, saw the car on the ramp and the work was being carried out, he was in and out of reception while working on it, to a flurry of profanaties, something I did not want, or need to hear, a paying customer should not have to hear foul language for something that wasnt their fault in the first place.
He gave me the car back and corrected the issue that should of been done in the first place. I will never be using that place ever again, extremely unprofessional and very poor customer experience, a friend of mine had previously used them recently and in fact damaged his car he has informed me that he will have to scrap it because of the damage they caused to his car, if I knew that before I went into them I would of avoided them, they are obviously short staffed and inexperienced of what to do, the steering on a car of course is vital to be 100% correct, otherwise its very dangerous.
I will never be using them again.
