Dispute settled

I wrote the previous review after coming off the phone with Facewest management still very angry with how I had been treated.
Facewest emailed me apologising and gave me a full refund paid directly into my account, sometimes it take both parties to stop and think about the situation and things can get sorted amicably.
I had used Facewest before and due to their handling of this would happily now use them again!

Great customer service and fast delivery

First time shopping with Facewest and although a slight hiccup with the delivery company, I have to say, the customer service from Facewest has been exceptional. They managed to help with contacting the courier and driver to get them to return same day to the correct address.

Although I ordered the wrong jacket and had to return it in the end, I have to say, I was left impressed with the overall service experience and will be bookmarking this company for future purchases.

Bad customer service

I have ordered 1 pair of Kantoola Microspikes. I had to choose the economy shipment or Air Express and I choose the second because I want the items really quick. I have order a lot of times from UK and usually shipment with plane arrived in 1-2 days. After 3 days the items haven’t arrived and I contact Facewest. They told me that I will deliver the items on time. I waited 2 more days and I contact the courier service and they told me that my item comes with truck with economy shipment and not by plane. So Facewest charged me for Express priority shipment, they send it with economy and when I was contact them and they could see their mistake, they just told me that I will deliver on time.

Sorry Facewest but you don’t respect your customers and this is the last time you take my money. Totally unacceptable!!!

And this is not about the 20 euros but how you handle a simple problem and you didn’t give a simple solution when I first inform you about it.

When you first emailed us, we checked your order on our order system and it stated that we had shipped it with DPD Air Express, which as you know is incorrect. It was only after we had responded to your email that we realized that we had shipped it using the incorrect service. As soon as we noticed that we had made this mistake, and I appreciate this could have been a little sooner, we apologized to you and refunded the amount you had paid for the priority delivery.

We pride ourselves in giving exceptional customer service and I am again sorry if on this occasion we have fallen short of this.

I ordered a pair of gloves from this…

I ordered a pair of gloves from this Company. The gloves I received were a different colour. When I emailed them I got a reply that said 'Sorry to hear the gloves are not as expected'. They weren't the gloves I ordered. He then went on to say 'Unfortunately the only product photography that Rab produce for these gloves shows them with red branding, while final production model has white branding.' I have never heard of a Company producing pictures different from what they are selling and even worse that Facewest do not state this on their website. He then went on to say 'If you are unhappy with your gloves'. Of course I am unhappy they are not as advertised. Overall I don't feel this was dealt with very well. I would avoid this Company at all costs going forward.

We're sorry we let you down with our customer service following the error we made with regards to the Rab Merino Plus 160 Gloves. Having contacted Rab we have updated the webpage to show the image of the gloves with the correct white, rather than red logo. We do our very best to keep our images up to do date, however on rare occasions old or incorrect images slip through.

Following our phone conversation with you I understand this complaint has been settled, however if there's anything else we can do please don't hesitate to contact us directly. As stated in our first email to you we will of course refund you in full upon receipt of the gloves, please accept our apologies again.

Excellent keen prices with equally good customer service

I used these guys for the first time a month ago when I just had enough with my usual suppliers lack of stock and poor customer service. The best price is usually a big factor for me when buying outdoor gear as a large chunk of my 'disposable' income goes on this each year. Finding the best price sometimes means a compromise in customer service and even sometimes a risk that something won't arrive on time or in the condition I expect. However, not in this case. I have been back to Facewest 3 times in the last month for bits of kit that I needed quickly and each time I have been extremely impressed with the price and the customer service. Even when I managed to type my e-mail address incorrectly when ordering this was easily sorted with a very friendly response to my phone call. Keep up the good work guys,

Excellent shop

Bought a Mountain Equipment coat from here for my son - great price, quick delivery. I contacted them afterwards because my son changed his mind over the colour and they were really helpful. We will definitely use Facewest again.

Ordered Hestra gloves for my Nephew as …

Ordered Hestra gloves for my Nephew as present. When they promptly came sent them on to him, wrong size so spoke to Facewest and he sent them back. Right size came back couple of days later and they even sent them to his address which was great. Also cheapest price on the net in first place :)

Defective Suunto Core watch

Bought a Suunto Core watch. It was not working properly, so I sent it back, after phoning them, and asked for a refund.

They returned the watch politely, saying the problem was due to a factory setting and that they had rectified it, but couldn't refund as the watch face was scratched.

The Core still was not working properly, so I sent it back to Suunto. They replaced everything apart from the strap.

Now it's working perfectly.

I can assure you that once we had adjusted the brightness of the display to rectify your initial complaint we thoroughly checked the watch for faults and found nothing wrong with it. Had you contacted us about the second issue with the watch we would have returned it to Suunto on your behalf to ensure you had a fully functional watch.

Prompt, precise, on time

Good prices, nice, brief and precise communication, on site and in email. Perfect shipment prices !!! Free even for the rest of the Europe ! They processed and packed sturdily and shipped the order in less than 24hrs ! And it even arrived on 4th business day, after shipping ! The next order I do, is theirs to take care of ;)
