I have given this company multiple chances over the last year and a half, and the result is always the same: Total Failure. Looking at my order history, I have purchased several trees—including figs and others—dating back to January 2024. Despite following all care instructions and providing an ideal environment, not a single tree from this company has survived. They arrive looking "okay," but they inevitably decline and die shortly after planting.
It has become clear that this isn't a "bad luck" situation; it is a systemic issue with the quality of their stock. To sell plants that are destined to fail at these price points is nothing short of predatory. I’ve wasted hundreds of dollars and months of my time waiting for growth that never comes.
This company is a scam. They are selling hope and delivering dead wood. They should be investigated for fraud and shut down before they can take money from anyone else. Save your money and go to a local nursery where you actually get what you pay for.

I purchased 2 Trees. From “Fast Growing Trees”. A pomegranate tree. And a. Meyer Lemon. tree.
Both trees arrived. In a box. Zero packaging. Zero protection. And both almost dead. No, protection against. Dried out soil. Or. Any protection at all. I would. NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING. Ever again from. “Fast-Growing-Trees. EVER AGAIN. “A-Big-Company-With-A lot-Of-BS. And lies.

Bought 13 trees they all appear dead the first spring after planning contacted fast growing trees we text back-and-forth every time I text. I got a new name a new person. One person determined seven of them were dead after that I could not get a hold of no one again they played the text game back-and-forth. I will add a photo and let everyone determine if they think they’re dead or not. I think they’re all dead but no response from them. Just wanted to update I did not receive nothing no response from fast growing trees like they say in this Review And I counted the people I text with it was 7 people Every time it was a different person and it's still not Settled I tried to add a photo but I could not figure it out I'm not real computer savvy thanks mike

Received 2 damaged and unrecoverable shrubs. Chatted with seller who said stick em the ground they’ll be ok. After argument, they offered 25% refund. Nope. Contacted my CC company and got my money back. Filed complaints with BBB, FTC, and IL Consumer Protection Agency. Be very careful with these sellers.
After 4 hours of arguing with them they have refunded my order. Customer service is shameful.

This isn't so much about the tree as it is about the company. Very dissatisfied with the order of this tree. They waited till spring to send it out but didn;t pay attention to the weather at the destination. We were in bout of 10 degree weather when they shipped it. It arrived with almost all of the leaves and branches frozen. And to top it off there was half of the roots showing. They didn't put enough soil in the container. When I contacted them they gave me a song and dance about it being
dorment and would revive itself. No mention of the condition it arrived in. Well, it did revive itself and now I have a Charlie Brown Christmas tree. Green on the top but only small branches starting on the trunk. It's going to take probably years for this thing to start looking like a tree again. If I can even get it fixed.
When I responed to their email again to state this there was NO response.
I WILL NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN.

I ordered trees 3 months ago. I still have not received them. Initially, I was told they would ship the first week in April. I have called 3 times. Each time they told me the trees would ship the following week. Still no trees. I just called and cancelled my order. They are a TOTAL WASTE of TIME AND MONEY.

Be very careful buying from this company. I specifically inquired about the pot sizes before ordering six 4–5 foot trees and was told they would arrive in 7-gallon pots. Instead, all six were crammed into three narrow shipping boxes. When I opened them, I found the trees had been downgraded to 3-gallon pots and were severely root-bound.
A 3-gallon pot is completely inadequate for a tree of this height. When I contacted customer service to complain, they gave me the runaround, claiming "sometimes they just come in 3-gallon pots," completely ignoring the specific promise made to me before I spent my money.
The trees themselves look healthy for now, but I paid for the root volume of a 7-gallon plant and was misled. It feels like a bait-and-switch tactic to save on shipping and stock costs. I have photos of the undersized boxes and the bound roots to prove it. I would have taken my business elsewhere if I had known they would cut corners like this.

Deceptive company that sells pint sized products listed in 2.5 quart pots to make you think you are getting something more established. Then the products arrive dead. They are outrageously priced.
Update: I did reply to you and explained that all the questions you asked me about the soil, the watering, etc were irrelevant because they arrived to me as tiny dead plants (each plant had two dead stems no longer than 8” long). NOT what a 2.5 quart sized plant for $55 each should ever cost. I’ve never seen such poor value.

Updating my original review:
I originally left a negative review because my order experienced significant delays and communication was extremely frustrating. I ordered shrubs on April 27 and was initially told they would ship May 3, but they were not actually picked up until May 7 with delivery expected May 10. At the time, multiple emails went unanswered, I was disconnected after finally reaching someone by phone, and the live chat system kept routing me into an AI loop without access to a real person.
That said, I also believe it’s important to update reviews when a company makes an effort to correct the situation.
After seeing my review, FastGrowingTrees reached out, apologized for the inconvenience, and provided an additional partial refund/credit, which I appreciated. More importantly, when the shrubs finally arrived, I was genuinely impressed with their condition and quality. The plants were healthy, well-packaged, and looked far better than I expected after the shipping delay.
I still think their communication and shipping transparency need improvement, especially during busy planting season, but based on the final product quality and their effort to make things right, I felt it was fair to revise my rating to 4 out of 5 stars.

Ordered 3 sedums and 1 clematis. Delivery was severely delayed for the sedums, so I asked to cancel the order and purchased locally. However, they randomly shipped the clematis alone early and now are refusing to offer a return/refund. Customer agents are not helpful, got confused looking at my order. Ultimately was not able to resolve my case, tried to give me a 30% off my next order as compensation.
Their replies on Trustpilot are meaningless, by the way. After several round robins, the actual customer agent over email refused to acknowledge their own fault and wrote this: "That said, we truly value your feedback and would still like to help make up for the experience. As a courtesy, we would be happy to offer you a 30% discount on a future order with us.
We understand this may not be the resolution you were hoping for, but we do genuinely appreciate your understanding and the opportunity to address your concerns."

This company has very strict rules and whoever heads the customer service department is not concerned about customer satisfaction or service. I see over and over again in reviews and better business complaints that Fast Trees is selling dead trees and then unwilling to give store credit or replacement. How UnAmerican is this. This company is not loyal to its customers. Customers or potential customers should not be loyal to them. Put them out of business. In this day and age where money is hard to come by, go to a business who appreciates you and your money.

I waited a long time before finally ordering from Fast Growing Trees. Never again! Spent SO much money and SO disappointed (can get for cheaper locally and handpick my plants to make sure they are not dead, or diseased. I ordered 15 plants. Only 4 are acceptable. One rose bush completely dead on arrival, one completely diseased with spots on all the leaves, a $50 hosta that arrived broken and soooo small (about $8 at Home Depot. Then they sent me a replacement for one of the rose bushes and no joke, it arrived DISEASED and dead on a lot of it. I don't know how they get away with this.

So far I have had a great experience with a great selection and expert help. They were more than happy to help replace some pawpaws that the frost unfortunately killed off. I would highly recommend them!

I was given 2 plants each costing
$54. I expect to receive then the week of May 22,2026. I am fearful I paid $ 116. fir 2 seedlings . We will see.

Absolutely horrible experience. I spent $350 here in hopes I would receive good quality items. It has been over 2 weeks since my order. Fedex delivered my order to the wrong address and Fast growing trees wasn't even apologetic. You would think that they would care and put in an effort to expedite shipping or something, but nope, they didn't care. Their customer service reps barely greet you..not sure who is training or supervising customer service, but DO BETTER!! I will never be ordering from this company again.
Update: Finally received my replacement order and they definitely have shady business practices! Purchased 3 "quart" sized roses, and received 3 starter plants instead!! Was offered a 15% discount by the company which is completely unacceptable! I have filed a dispute with my cc and suggest others do the same!!
Update 2: My credit card sided with me! Consumers, do not let this company get away with this! If you receive your plants not as advertised, FILE A DISPUTE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY!
