I bought a car from Fg it was an Alfa... A flooded Alfa!

I bought a car from Fg it was an Alfa Romeo, in the end the car stopped working after 4 months as the car was a flood car! The air filter was never changed and it got sucked in to the engine, also the garage they work with, will give them a clean MOT, my car had couple of advisories but they where removed with the new MOT. Worn seat belt, Rear brakes disks, they have not been changed but removed from the advisories. I would avoid this company at all cost! Save your self trouble. They source there cars from auction sites such as Copart which is an insurance they of auction where they buy damaged cars and fix them up so they look right. AVOID AVOID

never buy a car from fg cars loughborough

I bought a car from fg cars loughborough and it turned out to be not road worthy, was recovered by aa back home within 40 minutes of buying the car. You feel safe when buying from a garage dealer but i have seen nowadays local garage dealers are worst. Fg have a good attitude when selling cause they want your money and as soon as you call back bad attitude starts and threats. I have gone to trading standards and small claims court my advise stay well away protect your money.

STAY CLEAR OF FG Cars!!!

STAY CLEAR OF FG Cars!!!

Initially I thought FG were a great company, spent time working with me and my partner's father (mechanic), allowed my partners father to test drive the car on my behalf which was signed off as mechanically sound, no ramp check had been done. However, when the day came to buy the car, the car had been registered as disabled, so had no VED.

I was told to go to the nearest Post Office, (which as a non-Loughborough-local, I didn't know where it was) to pay the VED and bring it into my ownership. Granted, this was explained to me, but would've been better customer service to have done this on my behalf, or even offered to drive me there.

Taking ownership of the car was fine, papers signed, key (1 key) handed over and away I went.

I took the car to my local mechanic who knew this was my first car, who after initial inspection, he put the car on a ramp, only to find the rear disc calliper seized open, and the passenger side front drive spring had snapped.
I phoned FG to inform them, who offered me £100 to repair, so instead I booked in with their garage, knowing I was heading back to Loughborough the following weekend. The night before I was due to take the car back, offered to send the parts but no labour costs.

I firstly took the car to their garage, who informed me no cars had been booked in and they weren't expecting anyone (to the point they were repainting their floors).
I then drove to FG Cars where after a 15 minute wait, Fitim Gjeraj who I believe is the Managing Director, arrived, then proceeded to have a 45 minute argument with me, who likes to put words into your mouth, so word of warning!

The issues with my car, made my car unroadworthy, invalidated my car insurance, and made me a liability on the road, which I wasn't made aware of until after the fact.
FG did not offer any service by AA, bother speaking to the mechanic I'd used, nor offer any other local garage to undertake the work on their behalf.
During the argument, I was told to hand the car back over because he "didn't like my attitude", considering he didn't apologise for; not booking me with their garage, telling me I'd caused the issues, and then telling me I'd called him a liar.
As I was handing the details of the car back, the parts arrived, I had the car booked in properly with their choice of garage and finally repaired.
Interestingly, once I returned the original disc calliper, Fitim was nowhere to be found, but one of his team were incredibly apologetic. Just a shame this member wasn't there to see the argument, as I'm sure this person would've reconsidered their career with this company.

I personally will never touch this company, I have urged all my friends and family in the Leicestershire area not to use these, and I will do my best to spread the word that this is a company to stay away from, not to mention the "owner" Fitim Gjeraj's attitude towards Sales, Customer Service and Customer Retentions.

Needless to say, I have informed Trading Standards.

To Fitim, phrases to remember;
News of bad customer service reaches more than twice as many ears, as praise for a good service experience.

Take the time to address unhappy customers and do everything in your power to remedy the situation. It's not only worth keeping their business, but also avoiding any negative word of mouth exposure.
