I agree with the most firefox has lost it
agree with the most. Recent upgrades have ruined
this app. Recent unwanted upgrade lost half of my bookmarks. Used to always keep my bookmarks on screen to the left. Doesnt seem to be an option now.
Will be going back to CHROME as a long time user
of firefox am tired of the upgrades that I will never use.
And now have to rebuild my bookmarks list and am sure I will lose some forever.
The best browser
The best browser. It combines privacy and speed. It is open source and is fully customizable. I recommend everyone use this browser.

I used to use Firefox all the time
I used to use Firefox all the time, no matter what platform I was using. But these days Firefox is horrible on Linux and not so great on Windows either. At some point Mozilla decided to focus on privacy and features and less on performance. Don't get me wrong, I think for many Firefox is OK fast just not keeping up with the likes of Chrome. Maybe at some point we will see a bit more focus on performance. WebRender is a good start but doesn't go far enough.
This used to be good, but is hopeless now
This used to be the best browser about 3 years ago, but with every new update they screw it up more and more and it has gone so downhill now that even websites like airbnb lock up or don't work properly in the new versions of firefox. If you try to downgrade then it will remove all your bookmarks and logins and you can't get them back even if you then upgrade again to the newer version. Pile of rubbish.
Firefox 90.0.2 for Linux Mint Sucks In Non Troubleshoot Mode
Firefox 90.0.2 for Linux Mint should be an embarrassment for the Mozilla Corporation. It's behavior is so bad that I have to run it in Troubleshoot Mode. It runs great in Troubleshoot Mode. In non Troubleshoot Mode, Firefox is slow and is unable to handle more than just a few open tabs. My computer is loaded with RAM, so that issue shouldn't happen and doesn't happen in Troubleshoot Mode. Firefox is fast and capable of handling several hundred open tabs in Troubleshoot Mode. This is not the first recent upgrade that has caused me issues. I have blocked all future updates in the Update Manager. I am unwilling to risk installing a newer version that may very well be even worse than the current version.
Proton rollout made me leave.
been using it for more than 10 years, switching to the new Edge, after they forced their abysmal Proton UI via an automatic update. Hey, Mozilla: If it is so hard to have "TABS" behave properly and you really want them like BUTTONS, maybe respect your users and have a fallback option. It's 4 damn css lines. Uninstalling firefox from all my machines.
Been using it for 8 years!
been using it for 8 years,
and i must say its pretty good, good adds on and i like the layouts of settings and what not. Might go down hill soon tho with some things which is why 3 stars is its rating.
My worst choice in my life
My worst choice in my life. I have never imagine I uses this browser for a long time, but it really does nothing. It states to have helped internet freedom, data privacy, and etc. I think those are just to acquire more customers. There are other browsers doing far better than Mozilla
Terrible browser
Terrible browser, they took away the functionality to disable video ads. I don't want these annoying video ads at all and Firefox has failed to help their users.
A very good browser
A very good browser. It would be better if Firefox load webpages a little faster.
Avoid Firefox
- Firefox require your personal data just to open settings in program - who does that? certainly not me when i code something
- You must update Firefox all the time with super annoying popups at EVERY single launch
- Tab search engine is a real trash, 75% of the time does not find simple terms like "tv show season 2 episode 1"
- Resource hog, Firefox use a lot of Internet bandwith and RAM even while in background
Hard to believe Firefox 89 could be…
Hard to believe Firefox 89 could be slower than previous releases. But it is, and no matter how improved the UI is. Bottom line is that FF89 is just horribly slow at times. This experience was the same on three different PC's. Hard to know where the issues are with FF89 but they are there and have read other users with the same issues with performance. Not a good release for Mozilla already struggling with market share with Firefox. This won't help given the noticeable performance issues.
Since the update to 89
Since the update to 89, Firefox has become slow & bogged down. I constantly get the banner telling me that one of my favorite extensions is slowing down Firefox, never had that before. It frequently just stops loading, clicks do nothing. I have to close it completely with a right click on the task bar icon. This happened 4 times yesterday. If I have several tabs open, scrolling becomes slow & jumpy. If I click on a link, the screen jumps & I end up somewhere I didn't intend to be.
New Firefox is a big change
New Firefox is a big change. Having never used it before I realise that it is now very different. I cant say that its better than chrome or new edge. But its different, and I appreciate that
The Steady Predictable Decline of a Once Great Browser
I've been using Firefox since before it was called "Firefox" and about 10 years ago it had evolved into an amazing browser.
Since around 2010, I've had to battle at each and every update to make it functional. Addons have stopped working and have had to be replaced with new ones that never quite do what I want.
Changes in the app itself seem to have steadily reduced functionality and I've had to keep adding code to my user chrome file to undo the "upgrades".
I've just spent another couple of hours making the latest "upgrade", v.89, work sort-of properly but it's still worse than it was before the so called "upgrade".
A good example of Mozilla Madness is the Colorful Tabs addon. This made each tab a different colour, making it easy to see the active tab. Then Mozilla changed to web extensions and the addon stopped working. It's still available but now colours the whole background in the address bar and tools which is better than nothing but it's still pig ugly and unnecessary. If Mozilla wants to change stuff then they should have picked up on the huge demand for this addon and made its function a native feature. Not only did they ignore the demand, they managed to break an elegant solution provided by a third party. That is the antithesis of customer service.
Another example... a year or so ago, I was suddenly unable to drag URLs from the address bar to the desktop. There was no option to turn this "feature" back on and I was forced to find a fix which involved using the "-no-deelevate" argument in the launch shortcut.
Just recently with the "upgrade" to 89, I've had to completely disable the nasty Proton interface, which seems to be a redesign to emulate a mobile phone display on a desktop PC.
Firefox is like a once healthy patient that has been stabbed repeatedly and had the wounds covered up with sticky plasters. It still lives, but only just.
I'll stick with it for a while longer because even though it is nowhere near as good as it was last week or even 10 years ago, it's still better than Chrome, but I've put hours of my life into fixing each update to get it to behave and I'm just not prepared to continue doing that. I fear each and every update now and I really shouldn't have to feel that way should I?
The next time it's broken by an "upgrade", I will switch browser and give a long wave goodbye to Firefox. I still have my memories after all.
LOL! After writing this review I decided I'd turn off updates altogether, which I've always been loath to do, but I discovered that the option to do so has been completely removed. Instead of three update options, I have two... to update automatically and to notify. I'll have to go with "notify" and ignore the annoying update messages I suppose. It's so arrogant of Mozilla to deprive me of this choice.
Used Firefox since its start
Used Firefox since its start. The newest version lost all my bookmarks, passwords and is very slow. I can not recommend this programme to anyone for any reason at all.
Became an absolute rubbish
Became an absolute rubbish! New version is neither stable nor fast. The updater working in the background is super aggressive and eats up so much resources. The biggest problem however is that people who develop it have no vision at all what this browser should be. It used to be a simple fast browser and this was the reason why we loved it, then they started changing everything around and adding new things. It became bloated, unintuitive, slow and unstable. I rediscovered opera and these days it is the best browser for me. Really fast and clean interface. Firefox is dead, in 2 years of time it will be only a historic open source project for enthusiasts.
I'm so furious with Firefox
I'm so furious with Firefox.
They automatically upgraded from 88 to 89.
The 89 tabs are so awful I went back to 88. When I went back to 88 I lost all my tabs and all my passwords.
I'm suing Mozilla. They messed with the absolute wrong person.
rubbish
a couple of year ago they put up a popup asking for donations even though firefox should be free and freesource??the new update is rubbish it put tabs and bookmarks all over the place i downgraded to 88 again now i got message everday about wanna install firefox updates its a joke tried everything it just wont go away
