They can't get rebates working…
They can't get rebates working correctly. First Tech gives a RewardsChecking rebate of 0.5% on HomeLoans that are owned by FirstTech.
If you pay these with their BillPay service from the RewardsChecking account they DON'T QUALIFY. This is STUPID!!
You MUST pay the mortgate directly with a transfer from that SAME RewardsChecking account.
The description of the rebate doesn't say that a Bill Payment from THE SAME ACCOUNT won't work. I missed 6+ months of rebates because of this hidden 'trick'. I had to change to a transfer method. So far even that has only worked once. I'm still fighting to get this corrected. Watch the RewardsChecking carefully if you expect this rebate (Probably < 1% of their customers)
