Review summary

Created with AI, based on recent reviews

Considering 36 reviews, most reviewers were let down by their experience overall. Many customers expressed significant dissatisfaction with the quality of products, noting issues such as tools breaking easily, blades chipping, and items being dull or poorly designed. Reviewers also frequently encountered problems with the warranty process, finding it difficult to get claims honored and often being asked to pay for shipping broken items back. The customer service was a major point of contention, with many reporting unresponsiveness to emails and phone calls, and a general lack of helpfulness when trying to resolve issues. Some people also felt that the company's communication was poor and that they were not empathetic to customer concerns.

Wonderful to deal with

I purchased some of Fiskar's world famous scissors for quite a decent amount of money because I wanted to ensure I was getting the best.

I noticed that after a week of use they started to rust.

I contacted customer service who quickly and fairly resolved my issue.

Other companies take notice, this is how to treat your customers. I am encouraged to purchase more from them now, thanks!

As per other positive reviews

As per other positive reviews, the spring broke on my secateurs. I checked in DIY stores and online and was unsure which spring to purchase. I sent a picture to customer service asking if a replacement spring could be provided - the picture was just for identification purposes. I was advised a spring would be sent - I asked for bank details to cover postage and the cost of the spring, I was advised there would be no charge. A package arrived today via UPS. To my absolute delight and surprise I was sent a brand new set of secateurs. A replacement spring I would imagine would not be expensive but to replace the secateurs is so generous. Thank you Fiskars, much appreciated.

I cannot say enough about Fiskars…

I cannot say enough about Fiskars customer service. They communicated with me thru email. I thought for sure I'd never hear back. Out of the blue the part that I told them my husband broke on my brand new pruner was delivered to my home via UPS. I had inquired about purchasing it. I was shocked. Most companies don't stand behind their products once they get your money. FISKARS does. 2 👍👍UP.

FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SATISFACTION

I would love to say that Fiskars has amazing customer service and they guarantee their product! I received a gift and after a few uses the blade broke and no longer cut my material. An email and photo of the defective product and I received what I thought was a replacement in the mail. It was not the right product, emailed them back and in one week the correct item was at my doorstep. Thank you Fiskars!!!! Companies like you are truly amazing and stand behind your product.

Parts order delayed three times from 2 June to 15 Oct!!!

31st May 2021 I ordered a replacement blade for the excellent lopper. Commande n°100230898. Delivery was due within 48 hrs. but has now been put back for the third time to 15 October.
According to the retailer website Bati Avenue in France these delays are common from Fiskars.
I cant wait any longer as need replacement NOW. Will now buy a new lopper from a different manufacturer.

First class Fiskar's UK customer service

I bought a pair of the Fiskars garden shears about 4 years ago at Dobbies Garden Centre in Dunfermline. They have been used throughout the summers of those four years and I found them to be amazing. They cut through just about everything and I was so disappointed when the plastic handle cracked. They still worked but could not take any pressure. I emailed Fiskars via their website to ask if I could buy a replacement sleeve for the handle. One of the things I like about the Fiskars shears is that they don't have ground down rivets but nuts and bolts holding them together so in theory I could have replaced the damaged part. I received a reply next day and unfortunately they could only supply replacement blades not the plastic handles. BUT as they had a lifetime warranty if I sent them a picture of the damage they would consider a replacement. Same speedy response after sending a picture and the promise of a replacement on its way. I have several other Fiskar tools which all perform impressively and after this example of how customer service should be I will definitely buy Fiskars again. Unfortunately no name on the email so can't give credit to an individual so we'll done the entire Fiskar's UK customer service team.

28" loppers

I have the 28" power gear loppers. These loppers cut thousands of saplings, thousands of branches, and thousands of roots!!! My whole backyard was cleared out with them. The top pin is about ready to break. I contacted Fiskars. They responded to me immediately. The 28" is no longer available. They offered me a 32" or a 24". I chose the 32". Within a month they were shipped to me. I highly recommend this product!! I also highly recommend the company! Their customer service is excellent!!

Warranty is not provided, they ignore customers

Purchased a garden hose under the Fiskar Gilmour brand in 2011, LIFETIME Warranty. "The last hose you will ever buy" is on the warranty. Hose split from normal home use. No response to email or phone calls. Automated case number then nothing after weeks. Also filed a complaint via Home Depot as they can leverage Fiskar. No more Fiskar products for me.

Best customer service from Uk 👍

Bit surprised with some of the negative feedback here. Love my sw75 saw and contacted customer service, must say best customer service response ever.

I will continue to purchase their products because of this. Great job great products.

We Filed a warranty claim on some small pruners a couple of months ago. Got an immediate response that they got our claim and even gave us a claim number. They said we would hear back from them in 14 to 21 days...well, have heard nothing at all. Tried to call them and they are not taking phone calls anymore. Guess the warranty is useless!

The Fiskar products are excellent…

The Fiskar products are excellent quality one product is very unsafe; the Powergrip2 hand pruner. Twice now my employee and myself have wounded our thumbs seriously when applying downward pressure during the cut. When you cut with this pruner you are using your palm and fingers while the thumb floats out from the action. During the work flow you naturally move your thumb into the pruner for more leverage and the protruding piece of the handle completely cuts a hole in you skin through all the skin layers and you bleed profusely. We will not use this pruner until it is safely engineered. I have photos.

Bought a Fiskars UP53 branch pruner and…

Bought a Fiskars UP53 branch pruner and it was ok at light branches but when I tried it on a thicker branch the cord which pulls the cutter head broke - right inside the mechanism! It is IMPOSSIBLE to fix it yourself! Well, they obviously must do it in the Chinese factory but, despite many years in mechanics, I just couldn’t get the cord to where it needed to be. The head is sealed at the factory so, short of cutting it open....

Don't Buy Fiskars!

Well, I guess Fiskars is defunct. Their products are worthless. Of course, they are China made. I was just checking on the warranty; I see it's useless to try to use. Every review I read was negative. So is mine!
I am looking for garden tools made in the USA - even willing to pay a premium for them. No luck so far. I will investigate online.

I recently purchased 4 plates for my wife. When they arrived all of the plates were broken - someone in their shipping department had a bad day of packing. I took pictures of the plates and how they were shipped and sent those to customer service. The next day I received a notification telling me to throw the plates away and they would reship them to me. They handle my issue professionally and much faster than I would have thought they would. I will definitely do business with them again.
