Bad delivery and service

Ordered a beautiful bed base and mattress from Forty Winks Osborn Park but very bad delivery experience. Firstly when they delivered the mattress and loan base I had to pay extra for delivery which I was not aware and thought it had all been sorted. Then it took 3 weeks for my actual bed base to be delivered and even then was only delivered after multiple calls to inquire about delivery. When the bed base was finally delivered I had specifically requested for the base to be assembled but it came in pieces. When I asked the delivers about assembly they said they wouldn’t do it because it hadn’t been booked. I contacted the store expressing that I needed it assembled and highlighted the point that I requested assembly when I was in the store making the order. The sales person said it hadn’t been added to order and would be an extra $100 to do it. when I asked to add it she said they didn’t have enough staff to do it and it wouldn’t be possible to do so. Very disappointing because I then ended up out of pocket hiring another assembler to do it because forty winks Osborn park washed their hands of the job once delivered. Even worse considering I had just spent over $3000 for a bed. Highly recommend going elsewhere for better value and service.

We are blown away!

We are blown away!!

We purchased a King Coil Chiro Medium delivered yesterday from the Forty Winks Warrawong store.

We had the worst sleep - we believe the mattress was not what we had trialled in store. It was way too hard!!

Visited the store again today to purchase a pillow top AND they replaced our mattress instead with a more appropriate one.

AMAZING service!

Thank you Forty Winks!!!

purchased one of the most expensive…

purchased one of the most expensive mattresses after being upsold in store as it was suppose to be ultra plush
got the new mattress delivered laid on it and it was firm
next day emailed the store about it and that it hurt my back and was rung saying i was to give it 6 weeks and rotate
3 weeks later i demanded a refund
got told i have to go through warranty
WOOOOOOWWW they are refusing to refund me!!! i offered to purchase the next level down bed and still not interested.
even if the warranty states it is the same what next?????????? i hate this mattress and they don't care. tens of thousands of dollars i have spent at forty winks over the years. what a way to look after your customer

Neglecting Responsibilities
We purchased a Mlily adjustable bed and mattress from Oconnor Forty Winks Store. It was an expensive item $5130.00 The reason for going to Forty Winks is that we had a relationship with Forty Winks in the past and trusted that our needs would be met and they would take care of us.
Sadly my sister was terminal and I thought having an adjustable bed when she was home from hospital visits would make her more comfortable. I was not disappointed and bought what they suggested for my sister which was a Mlily bed and the mattress they put with it. Telling me the zero gravity and massage portion she would find fantastic. Four months later my sister passed. I found it difficult to stay in our home so made that decision to sell. When it came to organising and making ready for a move we lifted the mattress. It had a large burn covering the underneath of the mattress which resided over the motor unit of the adjustable bed. My first thought when my Brother who is a Instrument Engineer said you were lucky you turned the power off when not in use as it could have burn the house down or even worse while our sister was sleeping in it. I was horrified!
I contacted sales person who suggested and sold the items to us from Oconnor Forty Winks store by email in April 2022. Then with back and forth with emails photo's and phone calls finally from Mlily who sent out to view the bed.. After a long conversation with myself and my brother discussing the safety issues Rep said she understood that we would not feel safe sleeping in the bed moving forward and would discuss with her Manager. She took the control unit to take away and replaced it with another telling us to make sure we turn the power off. We said we wanted the bed and mattress removed as we felt it was a safety issue with the product. She said she would contact me but never did. After leaving endless messages for her. I contacted Forty Winks who told me Rep was away and to contact her Manager. . I tried to contact him leaving messages for him to return my calls but it never happened. I had no follow up. I received a phone call from Temper Mattress asking to come out to view the Mattress which they did. They said the mattress was as new but immediately confirmed the large burnt area underneath the mattress on top of the motor unit. They said they would write to Forty Winks and tell them this. We had no follow up from Forty Winks. I contacted same Sales Person again, she said Mliy changed the motor out of goodwill and she said Mlily can't say were the burn mark came from. She said she would talk to the owner to see what she can do. My final email was on the10th August 2022. when she asked me to please bear with her and would get back to me in a few days. I have had no further contact, I have to always make first contact! My brother is going to make final call as he is well versed with electric issues and safety. We then intend to contact the ACCC as this is a safety issue, they take these thing serious and then we will move forward with legal action. We feel the news and social media should be made aware. I feel that Forty Winks have not handled this situation well. I was left to contact and handle wholesalers myself. They should have taken the bed and mattress away especially after viewing the mattress and seeing the photo's and offered a full refund and apologies. This is no fault of mine at all. I feel they have taken no responsibility and hoped that I would simply give up. Apart from the faulty item, Its a also matter of trust and confidence that you think you will be taken care off. Especially given the situation that our family was dealing with. I feel no compassion was given. The one star is for sales peron which seemed to be a nice lady but I thought I would be taken care off We are nearing five months. I will keep you all updated to the results from Forty Winks and if they do the right thing of a refund plus all future actions moving forward. Please view Google review as I will review there and facebook and upload the photos which leaves no room for error later in the week after my brother last follow up with Forty Winks . I would have enclosed photos showing the burn from underneath and the immaculate condition of the bed but could not find a portial

Superb Service!!

My wife and I went into the store at Chatswood earlier today on a fact-finding mission. Our intention was to visit several stores followed up with online research, in order to find a suitable new mattress for our needs.

I have to say, Alana, was so knowledgeable, kind, caring and really listened to us, and we were so impressed that we purchased right there and then. We are very happy with the experience and will highly recommend her to all our friends, family and work colleagues.

We cant wait for the bed to arrive and we really hope it will exceed our expectations just like the in-store visit. Thomas

Damaged Mattress, Long Exchange Period

We placed an order for a King mattress on 18/08/2021 for $899 and when we received it, the protective plastic was torn and the mattress had two holes and dirt at each bottom corner where the mattress had been dragged against the floor. We contacted the store and they were very nice and apologetic. They put in an order for a new one but the downside is that it’s arriving on the 20th December!! What a long wait! We hope that this new exchanged mattress has zero damage. Don’t want to go through the long exchange process again.
