The customer service is abysmal.
All the following is from my personal experience with this Company.
The customer service is abysmal.
The pricing is very high.
The sales pitch is everything you want to hear but is not fulfilled..
Initially spoke to Mr Eric Lane Director of Freego Bikes by telephone then created a thread email with Mr Lane. Mr Lane works from the office above Portswood Cycles in Southampton and all conversations with staff members was directed by them to Mr Lane for advice.
The 'personal' advice given is of great concern when you think that the thinking of the salesman must reflect on their lack of professional sentiment. I was told to sell my bike privately for a price which will sell in a week, but once the sale has gone through it is 'buyer beware' so they cant come back to you when they discover the faults. Not the professional approach you would expect from the sales force.
Company policy seem to not understand the concepts of;
Managing Customer expectation.
Giving realistic advice on time lines.
Sales force advice relating to the following, are just smiled and laughed at.
Only holds stock sufficient for very short term requirements.
Slow delivery schedules.
Lack of customer notifications and updates.
Inability to uphold previously discussed options.
I would never recommend this company as I would be concerned with regard to the service given and I would not wish to be associated with such a Company publicly.
Some good products at times but be warned that models change and therefore so do parts and the availability of the parts etc.
I have never known an occasion when 'good customer service' has resulted in a disgruntled customer.

Why I decided on the “Freego Eagle”...
I have recently replaced my old electric bike with the “Freego Eagle” I am very pleased with it so far. I chose this bike after much deliberation, the deciding factors were.
1/ 2yrs extended warranty 4yrs on frame.
2/ Build quality, looks a sturdy bike.
3/ Hydraulic disc brakes front and back.
4/ Got it for an excellent price £500 saving from e-bikesdirect.com £999 for the 10amh battery version.
5/ loved the test ride of the “Hawk” I had at my local bike shop “Michelle’s”.
But went for the Eagle as it had a few more extras, and a higher payload.
Still early days but very pleased so far.
Only small gripe is the Saddle is a bit uncomfortable for me, but to be fair I have this trouble with all the bikes I’ve had.

I have recently purchased a Freego Eagle electric bike. Although it's early days as far as the bike is concerned, I'm in no doubt that if I have a problem it will be sorted to my satisfaction.
The customer care I have had from this company so far has been what I consider exceptional.

Freego Electric Folding Bike
Failure after failure and weeks without the bike. I have a Freego electric Folding bike and I have concerns that it is not legal to ride without insurance, tax and MOT. As you can alter the top speed to 32mph in the settings. Freego states when you buy their bikes you buy an experience mine has been a nightmare one. I had to get a credit card company to refund me for the spare batteries. The other issues are still on going after 13 weeks.
Freego offered a refund then changed their mind offered to pay my return costs then again changed their minds. I and others have riden these bikes at speeds greater than 15.5 mph. There is a problem with their software. The selling point was that parts would be posted to me in Europe, but after one claim they refused to send any more parts as I was having too many problems. The seller then claimed it was not a service they or Freego do. If you want parts you have to return to the UK from EU. What good are these bikes to a person touring Europe in a motorhome. So there you have it in the response from Freego do not have a problem outside of the UK.

issue has been solved
following my last review of freego bikes ,i have recieved an apology from the chairman and a cheque to cover cost of repairs at the bike shop,i therefore am now reccomending this company, because in the past freego electric bikes customer service has been excellent ,and although slightly dissapointed this time ,it has all now been resolved ,and my bike is now back on the road and in good working order.
