Top quality sofa bed, perfectly suited to fit my narrowboat! Delivery and build was done by Mark, he was super amenable to trudging 100m down the tow path, didn't bat an eye lid 😂. I would 100% recommend Funky Futon if you are looking for a quality product and service 👍

It's not often you get well made furniture these days

I think an elephant could sleep on this futon.

Mark was extremely pleasant and helpful and spent a lot of his time demonstrating the folding mechanism and helping me with my choice. I ended up getting an ex-demo Richmond sofa bed with the sprung mattress in a discontinued fabric at the price of the base product with a lower standard of fabric and mattress. I am extremely pleased with my purchase as it’s very comfortable both as a bed and a sofa. The quality of the materials and the mechanism seem first rate and will no doubt last for many years to come.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Funky Futon company for anyone looking for a quality sofa bed at an affordable price.

Mark was amazing. Very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He let us come visit the workshop on his first day back from Christmas break and explained the futons in great detail. We got to try different types and pick out the ones just right for us. After we placed the order, Mark kept us updated on the process and we had them within a week. Been sleeping on them for about a week now and we love them. So comfortable and happy to have got them local.

I bought the stacking beds and mattresses. Delivery as per agreed date and time. Driver messaged when he was on the way. He was very helpful and went out of his way, helped bring the beds upstairs to the room they were and also assembled them for me v quickly, took him about 45 mins.

Beds themselves are great. Very solid and good quality frames. Mattresses are very comfy. Can be used as single bed/sofa or unstacked/stacked easily.

Able to custom design for your needs, with much better designs, thicker futons, and proper wood! And still somehow be cheaper than the large Futon company everyone goes to. Was able to accommodate some mobility needs of ours into a new design with higher arms to allows you to more easily lift yourself out the sofa. Happy to take all needs and feedback on designs before creating it. Very fast creation and we sorted delivery to Cornwall fine. Would 100% recommend. Our design here will last much longer than our previous Futon Company one!

Andrew went out of his way to get me my double futon (4 layer)made and delivered to tamworth,with haste ..as my regular rubbish mattress had collapsed causing me to prefer the bare floor .the best decision. I ever made !.must sleep on back due to shoulder surgery needed,and since day one with funky futon hand made ,I’ve literally slept a full 7 hours,no neck and shoulder pain !..highly recommend

I always aspired to own a Lombok Day Bed, but they were discontinued nearly a decade ago. I finally found one, but without mattress and bolsters. The wooden base has odd dimensions, demanding something bespoke. I came across Funky Futon's online, and a little over a week later (!) I have a fantastic new mattress in place. Just amazing product and service.

The sofa bed arrived a month ago - it is absolutely stunning. The online materials do not give it justice. Solid craftsmanship, a beautiful finish, and looks absolutely wonderful. The mattress is firm as expected and feels really good both as a sofa and as a bed. We bought it as a full-time bed - Mark was extremely helpful and supportive in selecting the right product, offered an adjustment to the mattress to accommodate long-term use, and even caught a mistake I'd made in my order! I'm a really fussy buyer and it took me weeks to find the right vendor. I'm glad to have chosen Funky Futon; it was totally worth the wait. Thanks!

I ordered my Nottingham futon roughly 3 years ago, and it's been incredibly convenient for friends/family visiting. It's mega comfy and pretty easy to put back together, it was a great choice.

Recently one of the bolts that lets it fold back up snapped which I thought was the end of it, but I emailed the company and within a day they sent me a bunch of replacement bolts free of charge. They even said if any of the wood if damaged as well, they'd make and ship a replacement part for that as well.

Probably the best customer service experience of my life, I'm blown away by how immediately helpful they were. Cannot recommend enough.

Excellent quality, friendly service.

After a very frustrating experience with another company , I turned to Funky Futon for a replacement. It is always scary buying a sofa bed without trying 1st but Andrew was honest informative and reassuring . This no frills company is brilliant and the sofa bed is really comfortable . A very happy customer .

Mattress arrived with a very strong and foul sheep/barnyard odour which is not normal for cotton/wool and it seemed like the materials hadn’t been cleaned properly or something went wrong. Emailed the company a few days later and got NO REPLY. So we tried to air it out many times and clean with baking soda thinking the smell would go away. It became increasingly intense and potent to the point where after a few months the cover and filling went mouldy and is now unusable! Complained to the company and they are refusing any sort of refund. They are not even investigating along the service line to see why it smelt so bad from the very beginning. Do not buy from this company!

These guys couldn't have been more helpful. We collected 2 futons from Leeds, made quickly to coincide with a trip we were making from Ireland. Both have been well slept in over Christmas and are now being used as sofas. They are really comfortable and so very well made. I really recommend them highly .

Andrew was incredibly helpful on the phone last week and devoted the time to talk through what would work best for my requirements.

His colleague was also great when I checked in on Monday (sorry for not catching your name!).

We settled on a 4 layer Tokyo Futon bedroll with an added foam core to sustain its shape. It was created on Tuesday and arrived today on Thursday. Really well made, can’t wait to sleep on it tonight!!!

The guys from funky futon are great, we ordered the futon and a couple of really nice chaps came round and installed where we asked. Polite, friendly and really keen to ensure we understood how everything worked. They were especially careful in the house treating it as their own making sure nothing was scratched or damaged during installation .

After moving house and our house movers and clipping the mechanism which helps the futon fold back up. We rang Mark at funky futon who explained how to put it back together and sent us pictures to show what it should look like, we will back up. I’m running in minutes.
