Excellent
Very helpful glad i went to furniture Village . Plenty of sofas and armchairs to choose from. No pressure. Lewis looked after us and went through everything could not be more helpful.
Good salesperson
Good salesperson - visited twice before buying a bed, Curtis was our contact both times. Very helpful, personable and knowledgeable about all the products. A pleasure dealing with him.

Pleasant buying experience
We found the salesman Gareth to be helpful, friendly and knowledgable about the bedroom furniture we were interested in, without being pushy. He explained the delivery process clearly and we were happy to make a purchase of a collection of furniture for our bedroom.
Craig, the store assistant.
We were not pestered on entering the store but approached quietly and respectfully by a lovely man called Craig who gave us basic information to help with choosing our purchase. The whole experience was one of pleasure. We were treated with the upmost respect, not rushed and not encouraged to buy more than we came in for. Craig was a truly lovely man to do business with. A big thank you to him. The tea/coffee and cookies were a really nice touch. Highly recommend.

The purchase was easy but issues with the sofa on delivery …
The purchase was easy the sales manager was very helpful but did try and push insurance. The booking of the deleivery was easy and very flexible to my availability.
Communication day of deleivery good however, the delivery people have marked my walls in my front room and we cleared the room so they only had the sofa to sort. They left the house and my husband realised the legs of the sofa were not on the floor, he had to run to the door and call em back from driving off. There is no way they didn’t notice as it was the first thing I noticed when coming home, that the feet on the left hand side don’t touch the floor, they looked at it and move it but said they didn’t know. Apparently we are getting a call or an email so the delivery people said about it. This still hasn’t happened, the only correspondence I have had is the bill.
The sofa its self is nice but it’s very creaky like stairs in an old house not sure if that’s normal.
Over all ok but not amazing.

The worse sofa I have ever had! Go somewhere else!
I bought my sofa in October from the Lincoln store after moving into a new house. I bought the Emilia Standard U-Shaped Corner Sofa and was ‘thrown in’ some floor guard slides and fabric care kit.
The sofa arrived with a pull in the fabric and it took months to get fixed (they just sent a new cushion cover and it was left on my doorstep in a blue bag). That aside, the sofa is the worse sofa I have ever had!!! If you’re reading this DO NOT spend £1500 on it as it’s awful! I get pins and needles every time I sit on it as the sofa is lower than the stool so you can’t put your legs up. The material initially feels ok but after a while you realise it’s incredibly cheap and it already looks worn. My last sofa I bought elsewhere and it lasted 10yrs and is still going strong in my brothers house (I wish I had never changed). This one is only 6 months old and I am going to give it away as I’d rather sit on the floor. Their service is awful also and it takes ages to get anywhere. Oh and the floorguard glides are a joke. They are just stuck on to the bottom of the stools and fall off the first time you move them!!
If you’re reading this, go elsewhere and don’t waste your money like I have! Terrible.

Lewis, 5* guy
After being messed around by SCS for over a year I went to furniture village hoping for a better experience. I went in on the last 2 days of the sale just to have a nosey and I did see a sofa I really liked, Lewis spoke to me and I said I would like to come back in 2 days he told me the price would be going back up by then but he would honour it if I came back on the day I said I was going to. He honoured that promise and I placed an order for the sofa I liked. Lewis was really nice, pleasant and helpful. If I had a bigger house I would go back for more furniture, maybe one day!!
Really good experience
Really good experience, initially went to dfs (same industrial estate) and almost bought something, thought we would check out FV first. Glad we did. 100% better experience, phil was the sales rep we dealt with...knowledgeable, helpful and a proper gent. Ended up ordering as we felt understood and he was very relatable. 5 week quicker delivery window and felt much more assured that we would get a better service moving forward. Thanks
Totally Misleading product description
Edit 11/6: I emailed myexperience at furniturevillage.co.uk on 6/6 as requested by Shanice in her reply to my review but have not had any reply.
We bought the Luno dining bench for our breakfast room as well as some sofas. We were advised that the bench was wipe-clean and faux leather. This is the description on their website even today. The bench is clearly suede, and is certainly not wipe-clean. I raised this with both the store and the after-care department, and they were very very unhelpful. I do have the care plus insurance, and they are coming to clean the benches, but I wasn’t expecting, with young children, to be so reliant on the insurance to keep my furniture clean. I mean, even the tiniest of spills is not immediately wipe clean. Each tiny spill requires the use of their special products, otherwise the stains remain on the Furniture. What’s more, if you scrub the furniture using their cloths, the suede is fraying.
They were extremely unhelpful on the phone and at the store when I raised my concerns with them, and kept saying things like “wipe clean is self-explanatory, I can’t help you if you don’t understand what that means”. The store told me my complaint was nothing to do with them, but rather an after-care issue. When I contacted the after-care team,I was told that my concerns about the product not being exactly as described were not an after-care problem. So just running in circles trying to get this sorted out.
Eventually, despite hinting that they could get an inspector out to confirm that the fabric on my bench isn’t actually the correct fabric, they concluded that there was nothing that they could do, and that I should go to the Furniture ombudsman. The first person I spoke to refused to give me the name of the Furniture ombudsman that Furniture Village is affiliated with, but I was able to find this easily on Google. The Furniture ombudsman requires written documentation from Furniture Village confirming that they have not provided a resolution, which up to this point they have not supplied, despite me emailing them.
It’s a shame, because I was going to buy the Jose dining table and 10 chairs, in the absence of any other large 1 m wide dining table on the market, but with the after-care I have received so far, I would rather get a smaller product from elsewhere than deal with Furniture Village again.
Edit 6/6/26: I’ve only just seen the message from customer service so I will reply to them. but to update, I visited the store yesterday to speak to the salesman I bought the furniture from originally and asked whether the furniture I was sent could have mistakenly been upholstered in the wrong fabric making it not ‘wipe clean’. He was very adamant that this was impossible and the factory in China (and Italy and America, but most of these things are made in China), where this was made only deals with this specific product. I was a little incredulous but I guess he’s the expert
Then the conversation descended into the twilight zone where the basic definitions of common phrases were challenged. It comes down to what ‘wipe clean’ means. I really thought the bloke at the Lincoln store would understand since he was so helpful during the sale, but instead he told me that wipe clean means that I should use the universal cleaning spray supplied for every single small spillage or stain and then “wipe it clean” with a cloth. I was shocked at this interpretation and asked whether that would mean everything on earth is wipe clean since you could find a specific cleaner for anything and everything and finish it off with the wipe of a cloth, rendering the descriptor “wipe clean” completely useless. He challenged my understanding of wipe clean - being able to wipe away spills with no more than a damp cloth for a pristine finish - so I had to resort to using ChatGPT to ask what these words mean. The LLM, as most sensible folk on earth I suspect, agreed that “wipe clean” should not necessitate using specialised cleaners. He then asked me what the problem is with using the spray he provided and I said that didn’t suit my lifestyle. I have children who are messy and as a result most of my furniture is wipe clean with a damp cloth. It was seemingly lost in him that a damp cloth is free and easily accessible to everyone young and old alike whereas a specific cleaner is not free and is locked away in the cleaning cupboard making my instruction to my children to ‘wipe up after yourselves’ void.

Not that happy
Furniture is good, not that comfortable at the moment but I expect it to bed in. However there is a problem with one of our armchairs that Furniture Village have been told about, that has had no response, not very happy with the customer service.
