I was persuaded by my husband to buy…

I was persuaded by my husband to buy this bike - I personally thought it was a lot of money but he had done his research and was adamant it was the best. It eventually came after a long 5 month wait. Easy to put together and easy to operate. The first time I took it out I didn't like it at all. But that was because I wasn't used to it and felt out of control with it, now I love it. I have only used level 1 assist this is all I need and I love the fact that hills are a breeze! It's heavier than I anticipated though and I wouldn't be able to carry it. Overall a great bike and super easy to ride and fold.
Now for the loss of one star - the saddle was incredibly uncomfortable I was in pain after using it. I have since bought a wide padded ladies saddle which has done the trick. Puncture after one outing - I took it out on a well maintained canal towpath and tarmacced pavements and the next day the front tyre was flat. No puncture marks or foreign debris found in the tyre but the inner tube was creased inside the wheel with a tear. This led me to believe it was like it when it was shipped to me. I have since used it on numerous canal paths with no further problems. Just had to fork out for a new inner tube two days after getting the bike.
So, great bike I love riding it but Furo carefully check your bikes before they are shipped (my husband had to return his as it would not charge at all and a new one had to be sent) and consider a new carrier. UPS are not gentle and both boxes were dented and smashed.

It was a long wait for bike

It was a long wait for bike...purchased March 7 & received July. UPS changed delivery dates 3 times & I had to delay 3rd date. Finally arrived July 12. Pleased with performance, but cannot get indicator lights to work. Also small scratch on pedal crank.

I have give 3 stars due…

Unfortunately I have give 2 stars due to FuroSystems selling a product that could not be given to the customer. I ordered my folding electric bike to get to work in February 2021 and I received the bike in July, over 4 MONTHS later. Since then I am no longer at my place of work so didn't need the bike, no refund was offered. I then had to pay £315 for UPS delivery, however, they paid it back immediately. The bike arrived with incorrect instructions for the indicators, due to the manufacturer changing the battery type, instructions say to take apart if not working, but its a chargeable indicator. However, it still doesn't work and this is, I think necessary due to the fold up bike being harder to control when you indicate with your arms (if used to being on a normal bike, I found it a bit wobbly due to the bike being long) I am still waiting to hear if and how the indicators can be fixed, I guess I will chase to get an update or a replacement sent to me.
The bike itself is great, its light and I am only 5ft4, easy folding system, albeit a little long and bigger than I thought it would be. It boosts nicely when needed which is what I needed due to having a degenerated spine and struggling with long rides on a normal bike and lifting. The whole point of a fold up bike is to fold it and pick it up, however, there is no way of doing that very easily. I have seen other bikes easily pushed when folded so no need to pick up. Transporting it in folded position isn't the easiest.
The bike is made very well, it is a shame most reviews, people complain about delivery, if you are willing to wait months and don't mind the transporting side when folded then go for it.

Really pleased with the bike

Really pleased with the bike. Four stars given only because of the long wait between order and delivery. E mails always answered promptly and courteously. Felt I could trust the company.

Got my aventa yesterday took me about…

Got my aventa yesterday took me about half a hour to put together ordered it on April 30th so came just about on time bike seems ok but you can't raise the handle bars so having to buy a extender for about £20 the inner tube on the front wheel exploded and pushed the tyre off for some reason so had to replace it but all in all a nice bike at a good price.

Should have listened!!!

Should have listened to all the bad reviews!! Seriously BAD company. Damaged part now another few weeks away from being delivered. May these were coming in... Bike ordered in February! Seriously BUY from elsewhere

in response emma, the bike was delivered months late originally. It was delivered damaged. The replacement part i was told was being delivered May. We are now middle of July and still no sign. Like i said a shambolic company to deal with and everyone should go elsewhere. I should have listened to the other reviews - lie through your teeth on ETA's just to get the orders in and dont care if you deliver

Poor design

I have a furo x and twice the battery broke. It seems the contact pins that connect the battery to the bicycle get hot and melt the battery casing. This in turn displaces the contact pin.
It’s a very poor design, the last battery broke a mere 30 or so trips after replacement.

Not so rare, as it has happened twice and of course, the first thing I did was to contact support, but got no reply.

Last time this happened, I was told the battery holder was replaced. You had the bike for two weeks or so.

The issue you describe is extremely rare, and could you get in touch with our customer support for us to be able to resolve this for you.
The battery cannot overheat as the necessary electrical safeties are in place to prevent such issues. However when not locked properly on the bike and used on rough terrains, your battery holder can get slightly damages which in terms could lead to its pins moving slightly.
We will be able to replace both for you.

Gorgeous bike … worth the wait!

Massive credit to the Furosystems staff for graciously and courteously handing all of the emails that I have sent over the past few months to overcome the massive hurdles that the pandemic and resulting supply chain disruption have caused, not to mention Brexit and import/export issues. Sure, it has been frustrating, but every enquiry was responded to quickly and with assurance.

They decided to ship my bike via UPS to speed delivery time, which I greatly appreciate. There were unavoidable resulting import charges/taxes from UPS that Furosystems customer service let me know about, but they were fully refunded to me within a day. Again, great communication, great service.

I received my Furo X Max today, and while I haven’t ridden it much, I’ve been delighted so far. It’s going to be a great summer! A big thank you to everyone at Furosystems.

I posted a review where I expressed annoyance at the delays and then issues whereby my bike was delivered with both damage and parts missing. However those at Furo have contacted me within 24 hours and are looking to fix the issues,
There will often be concerns and complaints with a product but I believe that a company should be judged on how they fix those issues and treat their customers, which is why I have re - reviewed my experience with them and found that their customer service was really very good once I could speak to someone. I am hopeful that once I get a bike I can ride on I will again be able to review the actual product and give it 5 stars
