Fuze max….Beast, but very sensitive trigger accelerates very quick
Fuze max…Soon as I got this out the box I thought what a beast! I’ve had the pure air and this looks wise beats it 10+ Came with tool kit and owners manual. This needs some serious amending as it tells you absolutely nothing about how to or what to use them on. I still don’t know what the spanner is for. After thinking I’d done everything needed I took her for a test. Firstly the trigger and acceleration on this is so sensitive it lifts the front soon as you touch it (be careful she’s powerful) mode 1 is like jogging pace if that mode 2 kicks some speed and is also sensitive mode 3 is a beast and wil take you by surprise if your not ready. Doing some serious speeds it felt abit dodgy the steering so when I got back home I had a look around and was another part that needed tightening but you don’t get told any of this in instructions. I then took her out again and the steering was a load better and absolutely love the scooter. Took 1 week for delivery
I wrote my first review in November 2020 and here is the update July 2021
I wrote my first review in November 2020 whilst waiting several months for delivery. Suffice to say my review was based purely on the waiting times and was not favourable. I also stated I would offer another review when I received the bike, and had an opportunity to ride it.
I received my Furo X bike on the 14th December 2020. I was very pleased with the look of it and how easy it was to assemble.
However given the time of year, COVID and then being diagnosed with a serious illness, and needing treatment I was unable to ride my bike until today 3rd July 2021!
Although I have only riden a short distance I am so happy with the bike. It looks good and is fairly lightweight. It is easy to ride and seems powerful with regard to the battery. I am looking forward to taking it out regularly over the summer and going out for longer rides.
I would recommend the bike, despite the lengthy wait time.
If I was to be ‘nit picking’ I would have preferred the user manual to have looked a little more robust. As it is it is a lot of photocopied pages. However that aside it seems like a brilliant bike.
Shipping tax refunded straight away
Paid the ups shipping tax 330 pounds.....sent furo systems the receipt and was refunded the money straight away.... my furo x max arrives on Tuesday... I can't wait.... Great service thank you
Dangerous battery faults, unacceptable wait times, mechanics of folding bike and it’s sitting posture could cause damage to floors
Well this has to be the final straw for me. After waiting for endless months for the bike meaning it wasn’t delivered until winter with snow and ice on the roads I did not feel safe in use of the bike when I eventually got it. Due to personal back issues I then held off when the weather improved so yesterday was the first time I went out to ride the bike as my pain levels had finally reduced. When I stored the bike I didn’t fold it firstly as it’s very unimpressive the way it sits and I didn’t not want to cause damage to the bikes mechanism or my floor. Before my first ride yesterday I unboxed the battery the day before and followed the charging instructions to ensure I do not cause any reason for the battery life to be shortened (paranoid about this thanks to Apple products). I inspected the battery to notice a slight tilt to the left pin ( when facing the pins) they seemed to be set in place well though so I assumed this was fine, the bike worked no problem and I was impressed at how nippy the bike moved until disaster stuck nearly injuring me with a passing vehicle. Going uphill at a decent speed all of a sudden the battery cut out on me, my speed dramatically dropped without warning. I thought at first I had done something wrong or had turned it off when I changed the speed level. I had to pull over turn off the battery power, unlock and remove the battery as when attempting to turn it on again I had no luck. I reinserted the battery and locked it back into place and pressed the power button and it came back on… but when cycling this continued to happen. I assumed it was going over road surfaces somehow what disconnecting my power. I knew something wasn’t right and that I must have a faulty battery or bike. because this was happening on smooth cycle lanes. I removed the battery to notice melted plastic all around the electrical pins and that both pins were out of place. I had to walk with the bike all the way back up the hills roads because I don’t the bike extremely hard to cycle without power assistance mainly due to my own back but don’t be fooled by thinking this bike is as light as a feather because with the battery of the furo x max it’s bloody heavy and I struggle to get it upstairs especially if folded - the folding design is rubbish and I feel could damage floors or the bike, after my very first cycle the battery is completely destroyed and I don’t know if the melting of the battery case will have affected the bikes power receptors. The bike will not power up now at all. So after the best part of a years wait for the bike which should have been 4weeks as informed when ordered it. This has completely not met any of my expectations!! From the mechanical fold and the way the bike has to sit when folded (the gear circle between the wheels holding the majority of the weight of the bike or pedals on my wooden floor) all the way through to the battery melting after one use I tried to call the help number but there was no answer on the help desk over the weekend. And heaven knows when this matter will be resolved now. Also have noticed others having the same issues as me on here so please don’t think this is an isolated issue… there are many others.

So after 4 months of waiting I'm now expected to pay Import fees
I wonder if any of the other customers waiting on their delivery of the Furo X bike have had this latest email from Furo.
As nobody other than Furo can comment on this post please create a new review if anyone has had a similar email.

Dear Anthony,
I am contacting you in order to give you an update on your order . We decided to to go with UPS to send your bike as the bespoke service changed their delivery estimates to 3 weeks whereas UPS can collect your package this week. You will receive your tracking number in the next few hours.
We do need to inform you that import fees may apply to the delivery. We used to be able to pay these directly, however since Brexit, we are no longer in the capacity to do so. We want to to be clear that these charges are not delivery charges, but they include government charges that have been added since Brexit.
Therefore, send us a receipt as a proof of payment and we will process the refund for the amount paid on the card/payment method used to place your order.
We again thank you for your patience through this process and hope you will love your bike. Let us know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Manzi

Update 25th June
Still awaiting the tracking code stated in the email from Manzi yesterday.
So when I eventually get 1) The tracking code 2) The Bikes and 3) reimbursed for the Import Fee I will update this review once again.
Update 26th June
I have now received the tracking code for my 2 Furo X Max bikes.... Watch this space
Update 30th June
Bikes have left Portugal via UPS and I now have an import fee to pay of _684 for 2 bikes which Manzi from Furo has assured me will be refunded to my original card once they receive the paid receipt from me.
I hope they refund is quicker that there delivery promise or I will post on trust pilot every single day till I get my money back.
Update 4th July
Received the payment for the UPS charges into my credit card account so thank you Furo for that prompt refund.
Bikes are due tomorrow so hopefully this time next week I can write a positive review on the bike instead of all the negative ones I have felt the need to post for the last 3 months.
Update 6th July
The bikes have arrived and though the outside packaging was damaged both bikes were intact.
Very pleased with how they look but won't get to try them till the weekend.
Minor issue with the rear Indicators not working in conjunction with the unit on the handlebars so have emailed CS for advice and further guidance.
Update 12th July
Eventually got to try our new Furo X Max bikes at the weekend and was extremely pleased with the look of the bike and how easy to ride they are and fold up.
Two minor issues so far No1 the bell felt apart not sure how but the top piece just fell off whilst riding and one of the bikes only had a PAS range of 1-3 instead of 0-5 but after downloading a manual for the control panel I managed to set the bike to 0-5.
Awaiting feedback from CS regarding the issue pairing the rear indicators as it seems the manufacture has changed how this works.
Update 11th August
So after now having had our 2 Furo X Max bikes for nearly 5 weeks I thought I would post a final update.
So currently on holiday In Cornwall and the bikes have performed brilliantly up the constant hills where we are staying so thumbs up for that.
However thumbs down for two issues with the bike.
Issue 1 indicators don't work and CS has still yet to reply with the solution that I reported 4 weeks ago.
Issue 2 the button that controls the folding mechanism in the centre of the frame went missing last week which now means to fold I have to poke a screwdriver in to release the catch again after reporting it to CS a week ago I'm still to recieve a reply to my issue.
So all in all the bike is great the problems are annoying considering the cost of these bikes and CS can't be that busy to reply in the space of a week.
Tony

ABOUT TO CANCEL MY ORDER
Having placed my order on 14 March I have received nothing but a catalogue of excuses as to why I have not yet received my bike. Why, if Furo are aware of issues, do they not make this transparent on their website? If they were honest, they would say that there is a waitlist of at least three to four months (in my case looking like it might be longer). At the very least they would then be managing their customer expectations which would be preferable to the current approach which seems to favour fobbing off customers with disingenous delivery dates. I'm not interested in their back office issues. I'm interested in getting the bike which I paid for in good faith, in MARCH. If I do not get a guaranteed date of delivery I will cancel my order and request a refund in full. I will not be recommending Furo. I am more than disenchanted with their cavalier attitude to customer service. You need to get it sorted, Furo. And by the way, if you have no intention of answering your phone, why include a phone number?

Just cancelled my order of 2 x Furo X…
Just cancelled my order of 2 x Furo X bikes and asked for a full refund. Our bikes were ordered and paid for on 02 May with the promise of delivery at the end of May. Then the excuses started. Interestingly having read previous purchases comments on the delays I can now forecast with some accuracy what the next excuse for non-delivery is going be. Very poor customer service, no firm delivery dates, hugley disappointing experience - buyer beware.

Great bikes, I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time......
Bought a great bike but was unable to ride it because the weather was pants and then I hurt my shoulder.
Decided to swap it for a folding bike because I didn't trust putting a full size one on the roof of my car.
FuroSystems were very obliging and understanding of my plight and agreed to the swap.
Then weird things happened to my life and I decided to be really cheeky and ask for a refund instead of a swap.
FuroSystems again came to the rescue of my craziness and made a full refund without hesitation!
Fabulous customer service, even when they're dealing with the customer from hell such as I.
The bikes are great too, I'm just in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Thank you FuroSytems, I'm seriously impressed.
Great value e bike.
I ordered the Furo Aventa at the end of March and arrived middle of May 2021, about six weeks which I thought was pretty good.
The bike arrived with a broken headlight which was replaced within a week, otherwise I found it very easy to assemble. I replaced the saddle straight away for a more comfortable style. The handlebars could be a bit higher as my 70 year old hands don’t like all my weight over the front of the bike.
The build quality is excellent for the price and I especially appreciated the pannier rack and mudguards. Also the light weight means I can put it in the back of a small hatchback after removing the front wheel and battery. A full battery charge takes about 4 hours.
I have clocked up £250 miles of trouble free travel, mainly along country roads. It can be uncomfortable on loose gravel tracks with the Aventa’s thin tyres. The battery power usage on the LED display is all over the place when the bike is put into different pedal assist levels and once I ran out completely as it suddenly went from a quarter charge left to zero. I’m not sure if this is common with all e bikes.
Overall great value for money and highly recommended.
Graham.
Final Verdict - DO NOT BUY A SCOOTER FROM FURO SYSTEMS
About 10 weeks ago I purchased a Fuze Max scooter and out of the box there were some minor issues, I dealt with them and maintained tightness on all the bolts and fasteners regularly. The folding handlebars have a screw-on mechanism which is fine and stays tight on the right side but comes loose on the left after only a few minutes of riding.
This issue caused me to have an accident where I came off the scooter and hit the deck pretty hard (thankfully I wasn't going very fast and was wearing my helmet!).
The fit and finish of the entire scooter is fairly poor with most bolts wiggling themselves loose including the stem bolts and, as mentioned, the handlebars. I've also had intermittent rubbing of the brake pads on the discs (mainly front but also rear too).
I reached out to Furo and they have now got back to me.
Update @ 12.30pm same day as this review - I've now spoken to customer services on the phone and they have been very accommodating to my issues whilst explaining the situation on their end which I can entirely sympathise with. They are sending a new unit out and are having the old one picked up which I am pleased about. I will update or delete this review and write a new one once I've looked over and tested the new unit.
Thank you for endeavouring to remedy the situation.
*UPDATE AS OF 29/8/21*
The new scooter had to go back with the exact same issue as the first and it only just got back to me a couple of days ago from Furo after sending it for repair and it took well over 2 weeks to get it back, the bar issues are seemingly fixed but literally less than a minute into my ride the motor cut out entirely and now the thing won't move. I've now asked for a full refund after not having a rideable scooter for a ridiculous amount of time and I absolutely cannot recommend Furo Systems at least as far as their scooters go.

Best value for money
Best value for money, high performance scooter. Just love it!
A great folding e bike
I've had my Furo X for a year. It's a great bike and saved me a lot of time while commuting to work. It was slightly bigger than I excepted it to be but very light. Great experience so far.
Fuze is a lot of fun and very sturdy
Fuze is a lot of fun and very sturdy. Been riding it about a month and a half and its been great.
I am waiting the furo X bike from…
I am waiting the furo X bike from middle April. I understand the circumstances but its not the only company that deals with issues nowadays. In the emails I admit they respond quickly but they never answer precisely and straightforward my questions, regarding the arrival of the bike. It would be more honest to admit that they are aware the shipment will take ages more than they say! To sum up I have a huge uncertainty about if and when finally the bike will arrive.

Terrible company - Avoid!!!
Terrible company. Ordered a scooter for my son with a 1 to 3 day delivery promise.
They rarely answer the phone and when they do, they do not follow their promises, they never respond to emails.
Apparently, the delay is due to them changing the couriers they use but they didn’t know when this would be resolved.
I have now cancelled and now being messed around for my £749 refund.
Please take my recommendation here and do not use them, buy from Pure instead.
If the customer service is terrible before you get the item imagine the service when you have it and its gone wrong!

Fura Systems Aventa Max
Back on a bike after 15 years away, it's amazing for someone who isn't as fit as they would like. Support for my few queries has been excellent and prompt, delivery was a couple of weeks off, but worth the wait. For an entry level (price compared to some others) it glides along and I live in a very undulating part of the country, just wish I'd bought one earlier. Love it.
Do not buy anything from furo systems
Do not buy anything from furo systems! I have ordered a £1800 bike over 2 months ago and they keep stringing me along that it will delivered soon but it has not! And when I try to call them I get cut off. The worst company I have dealt with.

Where will the Aventa take you?
It has been a great pleasure riding the Aventa lately as Summer is approaching. Whilst I was expecting some delivery delays, the order arrived and took longer at customs than expected. My box also arrived slightly damaged due to the carrier and as a result one of my lights was not working. The Furo Team was super helpful in sending out a replacement part the very next day, and I was all set to go on the road. So far I have done 120km of total distance on it, and each km has been fun. The bike and accessories are made with high-quality materials and I expect the bike will hold up very well for the years to come.
FUROSYSTEMS AVENTA MAX
My first Ebike & very impressed to say. Very good customer service, kepted up to date with delivery constantly through out..
Replaced a part that wasn't in the box With 48 hours..
Performance is really good for my first ebike you really notice the pedal assist.. I'm no light weight & I've managed to get 36 miles out of the battery..
The only thing I would improve is front suspension, but apart from that very satisfied..
After at least a years worth of…
After at least a years worth of research I settled on an Aventa Max and it has delivered in spades.
The company were great, the only let down was the carrier UPS.
I'd still buy another but would only go ahead if I could choose the carrier.
