Appalling company. Do not buy from them!
I purchased what was advertised as a new Xbox s Console from their website, advertised as 30% off which is why we chose to buy from Game instead of another retailer. We paid next day delivery as it was for my son’s birthday. When it arrived we opened the box to find a used Xbox console in a large box with no protective packaging.
When I contacted Game to complain, after much back and fourth via email, they offered a £20 refund for the disappointment.
When I demanded the product be replaced with a new console as per my purchase they offered a full refund, but the extra I paid for next day delivery would not be refunded.
I now have to return the item and await up to 14 days for a refund. While my son is still without a console. I was gutted he missed out on what was supposed to be a special surprise I had been working hard to pay for.
I would not recommend purchasing from Game. The offer on both theirs and Frasers websites were taken down after my complaint. But not before I took screenshots. Clearly they were aware of their advertising mistake but refused to put this right.
Bought a controller
Bought a controller, seems fine off the bat but the Xbox box it came in was pretty beat up, not the delivery box which wasn't all that either, but both looked like they had been in a boxing ring with Mike Tyson for ages least 3 minutes.

I pre ordered an item and it was not shipped until the morning of its release. A competitor was able to dispatch several days before release to at least try to make it arrive the day of release. Otherwise, the service has been good.

Abused by store manager in Bolton Victoria
Went into their store and received abuse off their staff.
I went into their store to buy Topps trading cards I’d saved up £600 to buy multiple sets football, wwe and Disney cards to be specific. As most people who buy these sets know these are high value item and kept behind the tills. I called out of work on a 30 minute lunch break to buy said cards, I was in the Bolton town centre store for approximately 15-20 minutes waiting at the till, this counter on the second floor. There was no members of staff on the entire floor, as my break was going to end. On my way out as I approached the escalator on the first floor I finally saw a member of staff, standing next to a desk near the top of the escalator. I said to him you need to have someone on the counter upstairs I was just about to spend £600 and I now I can’t. He replied and I quote ‘well you’re supposed to come and find someone and there’s 2 people on that floor, don’t cry about it.’ I was shocked and continued to leave and got on the escalator. Now I wish I was joking but the guy came from behind the little desk and stood at the top of the escalator shouting don’t cry about it. He only stopped when I told him to F off.
Absolute joke of company, thinking it’s acceptable to abuse people that look to shop there. Guy should be fired instantly

Very poor customer service, would never use again after my last interaction, was an issue with delivery and apparently an order cannot be modified after it's been placed though it had not even been processed after a week, it was only after I threatened to take things further unless my order was cancelled that it finally was cancelled after a dozen emails back and forth, the time before I had ordered brand new items which arrived that looked as if they had been kicked across the warehouse then had the cheek to ask me to pay for a returns delivery, GAME used to be good years ago before they were bought out, just a shell of the company they were.

I enjoy shopping at these places to preorder new games and consoles, as they always seem to have them in stock. I can’t give a full 5 star because 1, you can no longer preorder anything directly in store which was very convenient for me, and 2, every Game store that isn’t located inside a Sports Direct has closed down, including my local one inside Surrey Quays and even the one in Stratford. But such is the way of the world. That said, I still have no problem preordering these items online to be delivered to my door.
Preordering items online was also somewhat dodgy.
When ordering online, I was a bit confused at first when I moved nearly £800 out from my savings account, to preorder the Nintendo switch 2 and some accessories for it a around a month before release, and wasn’t actually charged the full console price upon clicking preorder.
I thought I did paid the full console price on the day it was available to preorder, but I wasn’t charged full price at that time. So I put what I had left back in my savings account.
Then a few weeks later, I was surprised when all my money in my regular bank account was gone when game finally did take the full price without me knowing, and some switch 2 accessories that I preordered got cancelled because I didn’t have enough money in my main bank account at the time, so I had to order the accessories a second time, and had to check my bank account to see where all my money went.
If Game clearly wanted to avoid this kind of confusion, they would have clearly said on the order page before clicking “Order” the message “we won’t take full payment until a week before the console’s release”
This wasn’t a problem in the past when I’d preorder games and consoles upfront at the counter. Perhaps it was a mistake on my hand, not theirs. But their website should have been clearer with this message before pre-ordering anything.
Besides that, everything I brought from them worked fine and performed well and I prefer buying new games and accessories from them than other third party stores. Thanks for reading this far.
Quick delivery but wrong destination
Ordered on the Wednesday and had the order delivered on the Friday which was great considering it mentioned delivery wouldn't be until the following week. Only issue was that game didn't mark my parcel for the post office as requested and it was sent to my home address. Luckily i was home anyway so no drama.
Let down by their choice of delivery partner
Unfortunately their use of evri let's down game. It's now 4 days after expected delivery and still nothing.
Evri is known to be bad so this is inexcusable
