Found the company using a search engine, needed a metal garden gate. So happy I chose Gates and Automation Direct! Range of products and sizes were exceptional, website easy to follow and ordering process was very straightforward. Communication was clear all the way through and the gate arrived exactly on time, safely packaged, all the way from Scotland to the South Coast! Build quality is exceptional, my installer was very impressed and I know it will last for a long time. So refreshing to find a company that takes a pride in its work, and I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for excellent service. Thank you!

Found by googling. Requiring a bespoke size, I found the website ordering a little clunky - however it is just the first stage, you get a proper consultative design process, with plenty of helpful advice and suggestions. We were advised of the production lead time and contacted on schedule to arrange delivery. The gate is superb - well made, nicely proportioned and reassuringly heavy. You get what you pay for, highly recommended.

I recently purchased gates from G&A and had a great experience from start to finish. The team was really helpful throughout the whole process, answering my questions and making everything straightforward.

The gates themselves look fantastic, really high quality and exactly what I was hoping for. What stood out most was the aftercare service, which has been excellent and shows they genuinely care about their customers even after the sale.

From the start of order all information was advised promptly and my personal colour choice of the gate was sourced perfectly by Steven . When the gates arrived I was astonished at the workmanship in the fabrication and the powder coating could not be better . Detailed plans of project was accurate to the sizes given 10/10 th the whole team .

I needed two sets of double gates facing the riad, so this was an important decision to make. After much research, I selected GAD, and have not been disappointed.
The build quality of their gates is superb, certainly when compared with the competitors I shortlisted, and their prices are also good.
I visited the factory and received excellent pre-sales service. The gates arrived on schedule, and have attracted many favourable comments, even from passers-by!
I must take my hat off to the people at GAD, especially Steven. Nothing has been too much trouble, responses to my questions have been timely, courteous and helpful, and even when I required minor after-sales service, their response was exemplary.

I got in touch with Steven at Gates and Automation earlier in the year following issues with our property developer, who had failed to install a permanent gate. From day 1, Steven was helpful in explaining the different options to us and what would be best suited to the property. The team were incredibly thorough at the pre-build phase, noting issues with a supporting wall and providing an alternative solution for us.

The team were again in touch at every stage of the delivery process and were easily reachable when our installer was on site to help troubleshoot the usual snags you expect with any job.

The crafting of the gate again is fantastic and it will clearly last a long time.

I couldn't recommend Steven and the team more. 5 stars.

Steve and the team were very helpful the gates got to us in a good time frame as they are up in Scotland and i am on the Isle of Wight and in good condition. The gates were made to a really high standard. The gates fitted really well to the size I gave them as it was a massive pair of gates nearly 6 meter wide I was a little worried but no problem it went in well and looks great as the photo show. My client was happy and so am i.

I will use them again and would recommend them to anyone.

I am delighted with my four gates.
The build quality exceeds my expectations. The composite 'mahogany' is very convincing indeed, avoiding the repeating grain pattern in other faux wood. The gates are substantial and robust, yet they swing lightly and easily on their hinges. The locks are of excellent quality, too.
This was an expensive project for me, and I am left feeling that I have got very good value for money.

We ordered the Douglas garden gate and wow it way exceeded our expectations. It is solid and very weighty and such a beautiful design. We were in contact with Steven at the company who was extremely helpful.

It’s the old story of you get what you pay for. The quality and design is superb. We cannot rate this company highly enough and commend them to anyone looking for high quality and a great service.

Had an issue with some door automation equipment, that I though had been purchased from here, turns out, it hadn't been, but they still where extremely helpful, and with their help, I fixed the problem myself.

I spent a lot of time on line researching garden gates which would provide a high level of security, longevity, look impressive and be manufactured to bespoke requirements.

I hoped their gates would meet all these requirements, specifically as they were available with a powder-coated galvanised steel frame with Iroko hard wood panels.

The gates were safely received, having been well packed and protected with tailor-made pallets for transit. They were easy to hang.

I am delighted with these gates as they met every specification and expectation I had. They are well designed and I am sure will last many, many years with minimal maintenance.

These days when so many things are manufactured down to a price and quality is compromised, it is heartening to find a supplier who has not cut corners and manufactures a top notch quality product.

I would recommend this manufacturers gates without hesitation.

Well what can I say about Gary/Gatehouse automation and there professionalism.
After having multiple problems with the previous installer of my gate and lack of security features and basically a dangerous install and not compliant.
Gary attended my property to access the issues I was having.
Within 24 hrs I had a written quotation to put right all the issues my previous installer hadn’t carried out.
Upon giving Garry the green light to carry out the remedial works they were carried out in a timely manner in the timeframe agreed.

Brilliant company to deal with. Connor help me every step of the way . Bought 2 large gates & all the fittings, fitted them with the Help of my brother in law (a joiner to Trade ) highly recommended Gates Scotland to anyone looking for quality high standard bespoke Gates .

We were looking for a new gate for the side entrance to our property, but wanted a single leaf to maximise the clearance for a boat. Other companies we contacted could not provide this option but G&AD figured out a solution based on my measurements and the need to have the hinge mechanism behind the gate post rather on the side.
All went well and we had great communications over the design and payments as well as getting hold of samples of the composite infill. In the end we got a super gate, solid construction and looks good as well. I had to wait for our new wall to be finished and rendered so took a while for installation but its now done and we are very happy with the result, excellent build quality and a fair price.

Our company bought 3 sets of gates from Gates and Automation Direct and I have to say the quality of the gates are second to none.. The gates are SOLID, well built and the attention to detail from spray to the composite wood is great.. The team I dealt with (Connor) was great from the start to finish and I have to say the whole process was a pleasure.. Definitely our go to place for gates from now on..
