Are you in interested in the welfare of patients or merely maintaining a self protecting status quo..

I like many others am concerned with the way you have suspended the dental practice of Dr Amir.
I have used him as a dentist for in excessive of 15 years and find it distasteful that you would treat anyone who bothers to try and help people with such genuine care for his patients so dreadfully.
How many nof his patients did you speak to as a part of your decision making process? I am going to suspect the answer is none.
It appears you are a self serving group interested in survival of your gravy train at all costs rather than the benefit of the general public.
I would be more respectful of your remit if you were balanced in your research.
It also appears you have never responded to any of the criticisms levelled at you which smacks of cronyism.
Some response would be gratefully received assuming you care about people not just money...

Deeply concerned over suspension of Dr Amir

'Tell us about your complaint'

I'm deeply concerned to learn about the suspension of Dr Amir, I testify as a patient in the later stages of his orthodontic treatment, (and needless to say one doesn't have to look far to be inundated with glowing testimonies of his work from his other patience.)

I sincerely hope you might observe the significance, such an impressive amount of accounts from those who have received his treatment, many accounting for a life changing experience, (myself included), that'd ought to at least warrant some acknowledgement in whatever process of deduction has been previously made to suspend him.

Given the level of efficacy this treatment presents itself to people who've experienced transformations of health that I have, and the increasing public notoriety of long term health complications where such a scarcity of treatment is available, (god knows it took me some searching before I was fortunate enough to discover Amirs practise), I beg for the GDCs reasoning on this matter.

To name but a few points in my own experience that I would like a reasoned answer to, if an attempt is made to justify this suspension,

I have already (as a prior to 'mouth breather') experienced a huge improvement to nasal breathing.

Improvements to focus and concentration that where very noticeable within weeks of beginning the treatment.

An unmistakable difference to appearance.

And I'm weeks away from having a complete bite for the first time in living memory.

Please make note that prior to discovering Amirs practise, I had gone out of my way to seek help for an escalating series of dental and jaw issues. After a lot of prompting from myself, my then dentist referred me to the orthodontic department at William Harvey, I was then told that I could receive jaw surgery, but was assured that such a procedure "would purely be for aesthetic reasons".

Let me just clarify, this is what I was told after several years questioning a series of dismissive dentists, after having an orthodontic brace as a child, which aside from some fleeting aesthetic benefit then, did, to use a informal clinical term: bugger all.
This is what I was told, considering all my recent health benefits I've previously outline from Amirs treatment and advice.

It doesn't require much medical knowledge for a lowly patient like myself to be justifiably alarmed by the profound inconsistency from the status quo that has been presented to me, all in purist of getting the help I needed, and so it's only inevitable that this recent suspension does not sit well at all, aside from being a huge personal disappointment for myself, for his other patience and his practise.

'What should be done?'

I would imagine by now my answer to this is fairly predictable.
I would like to resume my treatment with Amir ASAP.

I would also quite like an explanation, but I will gladly settle for the immediate effect of the prior happening.

Disgraceful treatment of Dr Amir

Dr Amir has done huge amounts for me and my family over the last 20 years and deserves so much better than the treatment he has received. His work is exceptional and his care for his patients is above and beyond.

Angry for Dr Amir's suspension!!

Please review Dr Amir's suspension!!!
He is the only dental professional I have met that knows about my condition (visual snow) and that can help me overcome it. He is an expert and thoughtful professional that should be applauded for saving so many people's lives. Think about all the people that could continue benefit from this, think if it was your daughter or son and your GP or dentist could not find any remedy. Please open your mind and admit Dr Amir's exceptional work and knowledge!

Dr. Amir's suspension-- a travesty!

I am writing because I believe the GDC’s suspension of Dr. Mohamed Amir’s dental license—merely for publishing his clinical findings on his website--- is a wrongdoing for which the members of the GDC need to be held accountable immediately.
As Dr. Amir’s patient for over a year, I have found him always to be an ethical and conscientious dental practitioner whose non-invasive treatment has eradicated the severe hip, back, and neck pain which I had suffered from for over three years. Before Dr. Amir’s treatment, I was unable to sleep properly or walk without pain. Ongoing chiropractic care, which I had been attending every two to three weeks for over two years, was extremely costly and had proven to provide only temporary relief. In my search for a more lasting, less intrusive, and less expensive treatment, I came across Dr. Amir’s website. His clear, comprehensive articles as well as the countless patient testimonials on the site convinced me that this was something I needed to try.
I was amazed that the treatment showed quick results which from the start seemed to be holding steady. It was a relief not to have any of the intrusive twisting or cracking of the spine performed by most chiropractors, and which I had experienced repeatedly.
MY RAPID RECOVERY WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE WITHOUT DR. AMIR"S WEBSITE, which does the service of spreading awareness to the public about this pioneering treatment, which has none of the side effects of prescription drugs or surgery. The fact that the GDC has decided to suspend a dentist who has a proven track record of patient satisfaction for over forty years, merely for wishing to educate the public about his life-changing treatment, tells me that there is something sinister about the motives of the GDC. It is clear from this decision that the GDC is not invested in the best interest of the British public, and must be held to account.

Suspension of Dr Amir of Putney by the GDC- A Huge Mistake!

I am horrified to hear that the GDC has decided to suspend my dentist, Dr Mohammed Amir of Putney. I am now in much better overall condition than I was a few years ago thanks to his treatment. And countless other patients have had serious conditions reversed by this outstanding medical practitioner. Instead of suspending this man, medical councils should be consulting him. The NHS could save a fortune if they put some of his ideas into practice!

Miscarriage of justice

I was horrified to hear about the suspension of Dr Amir, my dentist and my family’s dentist for over 20 years. Does the GDC actually believe that his huge cohort of loyal patients are stupid enough to allow him to treat them if they did not have absolute faith in his ability to support their health. He is a man who thinks outside the box, who has continuously striven to look for ways to help his patients, always with their best interests at heart. He has the highest integrity, is ethical in the extreme, is patient and kind. He is one of a very few forward thinking practitioners in the world, who has seen a connection between the jaw and general health. If the GDC does not allow him to continue in his groundbreaking work, after years of sheer dedication, it will prove itself to be an organisation that has absolutely no interest in pioneering work as well as no interest in the welfare of hundreds of his patients.

Suspension of Dr M Amir, dental surgery Putney

I am shocked and appalled that the GDC has suspended Dr M Amir's dental practice at 50B Lower Richmond Road, Putney, London SW15 1JT.
I have been his patient and am entirely happy with the marvellous treatment that he has provided. It seems the GDC ranks their orthodoxy more highly than the health and well-being of patients that he has helped.
I have experienced a number of injuries to my head during violent assaults in the course of my human rights work and consequently suffered damage to my jaw and teeth. These assaults also caused post-traumatic stress disorder and various PSTD related symptoms, including severe headaches, teeth grinding, jaw, neck and shoulder aches and digestive disorders and discomfort.
While orthodox medical treatment promised but did not deliver positive results, since seeing Dr Amir, these symptoms have dramatically reduced and my health has improved very significantly. I feel totally confident in the treatment he has given me and want it to carry on. It benefits my health.
I have spoken to other patients at his surgery and they also report significant improvements.
The interests and well-being of us patients should be a paramount consideration.
I believe that Dr Amir should be able to continue his dental practice and offer his valuable treatments to patients like myself. He should be judged solely by the positive results of his treatments. His suspension should be lifted. Thank you. Peter Tatchell

TMJ dentist Dr Amir Putney

I am shocked to hear that the GDC has suspended Dr Amir. He has helped so many patients who have tried numerous other specialists before him, to no avail.

Dr Amir has been the only one to make a difference in their overall health. There are so many grateful patients who have and are still benefiting from his treatment. I think it is cruel that this decision will now have to stop treatment for so many poor people.

I am also disgusted with the GDC in how they have treated Dr Amir over the last few years in what you could only call a charade of a case against him, the GDC seemed to only have the sole intention of stopping Dr Amir from continuing to help his patients.

They have made this decision without a second care to how this effects Dr Amir's patients who will now be unable to continue in their treatment. So much for duty of care to patients. It is sickening.

The GDC should be ashamed of themselves and review their decision.

Racist bullies beyond the law - how can they get away with what they have done to Dr Anir???

This is a despicable organisation. Their arrogance is only surpassed by their blatent racism. They conducted a shocking 5-year bully campaign against a wonderful, kind, wise, and innovative dental surgeon that I credit with saving my life as I know it - Dr Amir. I hope the GDC will one day be humbled. They have really destroyed my trust in all regulatory bodies. How can they get away with this?????

Travesty of Justice,Dr Mohammed Amir.

Gdc
I have just discovered the best dentist specialising in TMJ disorders I have attended has been suspended by the GDC and I am compelled to write this review as it is a travesty of justice.

Dr Mohammed Amir has helped me and hundreds of other back to health.

Dr Amirs professionalism kindness and expertise have been second to none.
No other dentist or health practitioners I have attended have came close to Dr Amirs specialised treatment .

I do know he has felt racially discriminated harassed and bullied by the GDC during his case which has been ongoing for many years as had a terrible effect on his health and wellbeing.

Many patients including myself rely on his treatment and now the GDC are stopping this with no alternative.
This will affect myself and many others who are disgusted with this decision and the treatment of Dr Amir.

The GDC as a duty of care to all patients who will be significantly damaged by this decision. This fundamentally goes against what and who the GDC represent.
It is shocking.

We need Dr Amir.

Suspended the only doctor who could help

Suspended the only doctor - Dr Amir who found the reason for my tremor and balance issues as well as shallow breathing and apnea. First time in decades I did not snore. How does GDC look after the patient's interest if they refuse me the only doctor who could help?

Dr. M Amir Dental Surgeon, Putney

I was horrified to hear of the treatment of Dr. Amir in Putney at the hands of the GDC. The idea that a dedicated professional with absolute commitment to his patients and, most importantly, a methodology with proven life-changing, even life-saving, results could be suspended beggars belief.

I came to Dr Amir after half a decade of desperately searching for a solution to my TMJ disorder, receiving useless, even damaging, treatment in the care of dentists and other so-called specialists. After only 6 months of the most subtle, careful treatment by Dr Amir, I saw a huge, lasting improvement in the pain and my general quality of life His treatment is so specialised and bespoke, and you're in the best hands in his care.

The GDC should be ashamed of the decision to suspend a man with more genuine concern for his patients than all the dentists I have met put together. While I am, thanks to Dr. Amir alone, over the worst of my ordeal with TMJ disorder, there are hundreds of patients out there being deprived of urgent care by this suspension, and who will be driven into a dark place by this malicious decision. Reinstate Dr. Amir immediately.

I felt absolutely horrified to discover…

I felt absolutely horrified to discover that the dentist I have been undergoing treatment with for severe TMJ disorder has recently been suspended by the GDC.

Even more horrifying is that negative reviews posted on the GDC's google reviews on this subject are being removed!!! What is the point in there being a review or complaints system if anything that shows them in a negative light is removed?

Dr. M. Amir is a specialist to the highest degree and a pioneer in his research and treatment of this, and many other disorders.
I have been treated by many other health practitioners including; consultants, maxillofacial surgeons, osteopaths, dentists, orthodontists, doctors to name but a few. I have even travelled across the globe in search of a treatment for TMJ disorder that actually works! In my experience modern medical practices DO NOT WORK for this condition. After over a seven-year search Dr. Amir is the ONLY practitioner that has a treatment that works! His holistic approach to treating jaw asymmetry is completely revolutionary and in correcting this problem, many health conditions throughout the body are also corrected.
It may be unheard of for a ‘dental’ treatment to correct health disorders that stump the most common medical practices, but surely this is something to be studied not condemned?
Dr. Amir is being persecuted for his ability to treat conditions that the GDC feel he shouldn’t be able to treat. The fact is, he can. His treatments are more effective, less invasive and involve no use of heavy-duty pharmaceuticals. This man has single-handedly saved me and many others from a life of total agony and misery. His suspension is completely unjust.
Dr. Amir’s kindness, generosity and professionalism are second to none. Due to my recent financial difficulty, he has charged me a fraction of the usual cost, simply because he wants me to be well. I don’t know any other dentist or health professional who would do this.
The GDC claims a duty of care to patients, but where is the duty of care to me and the many others undergoing treatment with Dr. Amir? His suspension, and the subsequent gap in treatment is very damaging to all of us.
Dr. Amir is a credit to the profession and the GDC should be ashamed of this appalling decision.

The fact that the GDC has suspended Dr…

The fact that the GDC has suspended Dr Amir is an absolute travesty. His treatment quite literally gave me my life back. He gave me my dental health back and his treatment reversed the downward spiral of bad health I was experiencing as a result of TMJ dysfunction. His work is vital for so many of us and his expertise is second to none. Suspending his work is an appalling abuse of power by the GDC

Unwarranted suspension

As a council that states in its website it will listen to the public and patients the council needs to explain to the many patients and their families why it has chosen to suspend a pioneering practitioner who is successfully treating hundreds of patients with excellent reviews and patient led evaluations that show extremely positive outcomes. Is there any law firm who can help sue…

Is there any law firm who can help sue the GDC for at least 20 million pounds for defaming Dr Mohamed Amir the world over, using the expertise of a witness who had absolutely no knowledge of the field in which he works?
Dr Amir saved some 500 patients from chronic illness but the GDC does not care about the patients’ health, while pretending all the time that they are there to protect them. From what I have read it appears to be a money-making, racist outfit.

The gdc is a council that does not…

The gdc is a council that does not stand up for any dental professional. You see unprofessional people taking impression when they are breaking the law and they do nothing about it. This organisation is supposed to stop that happening. The fee goes up every year. I don’t know no one that thinks this way of doing things is any good. I think they need to get off there high horse and start to help the professionals rather then display a cult which they act around. It’s simple for me I would love to see the council gone and replaced with something else a more compassionate and respectful system that all dental professionals can get behind.
