Stressful
Very stressful finding the car. It wasn’t clean.
I wanted to start the hire earlier than the time I put (12.00) but couldn’t so had to wait till the exact time I requested, which is fair enough.
I hired it for 6 days and said drop back would be 7.00 (which is FIVE hours earlier than the full 6 days) I arrived back 7.45 still within my 6 days but they still charged me a late return fee. This is unacceptable. I may never use them again for that reason.

Stressful and exhausting experience at 7 months pregnant
I hired a car via Getaround to drive to a friend's wedding as the location was very remote and there was no other way of getting there. On the morning I was due to collect the car, I received call from the owner to say the previous hirer hadn't ended the rental and so the car I'd booked months ago for my friends wedding wouldn't be available. Although I was offered an alternative car, it was 25 mins drive from my address, each way, rather than the 15 minute walk which was the location of the vehicle I had originally booked. Given that I'm 7 months pregnant, I originally booked a vehicle that was very close to my home address and was a car I was familiar and comfortable with driving.
Although the owner said they would reimburse me for the taxi there and back to collect and drop of the vehicle, this added an hour onto my journeys. As a result I was 30 mins late for the wedding and missed the ceremony. I didn't get back from the wedding until 1am and so didn't want to return the vehicle that evening as it would've meant not getting home until 2am, so I dropped it back this morning (within time) but as you can imagine, at 7 months pregnant, what should have been a stress and hassle free hire and enjoyable day at my friends wedding, turned out to be extremely stressful and exhausting weekend. I think Getaround should have a better contingency plan in place in scenarios like this, such as delivering (and collecting) an alternate vehicle to my address which would've made this whole experience a lot less stressful and exhausting.

This is the worse company ever- me and the owner went at the end to the shops to top up fuel for the car I paid £35 for the petrol Getaround has now charged me another extra £50 - me and the owner have sent them receipts and proof / confirmation to tell them I have already paid for the fuel. They are telling me they cannot refund me and make and adjustments. What kind of service is this????????? The customer service is so rude! They don’t know how to talk to customers. I’ve had so many bad experience with them but this is enough now!

Plenty of vehicles to choose from…
Plenty of vehicles to choose from within a reasonable distance and the app has useful filters to make selection of a vehicle easier to find quickly. Once use to the process of preparing the car for hire then all very straight forward and unlocked with the app and completed checks and off... I extended my rental with no bother through the app and with very little effort I had the car for an additional day. I returned it with the same if not a little more fuel than it had when the rental started and even gave it a wash and hoover ready for the next hire. Returned to the same if not as close as possible in a safe parking place and completed the checkout on the app and rental over with app locking the car with no problem. There was even additional time available after the hire ended to reopen and collect anything forgotten. Overall a pleasant and hassle free experience, thank you.
