Hired a car which was returned on 26th April 23. The App clearly stated that the deposit will be on hold for another 5 days until the 1st May from the date of return and as if this was not long enough, it is now the 17th May and guess what?? NOTHING TO THIS DAY.
Getaround was super quick at taking the deposit within a minute of the booking being made though.
We have had nothing but misleading information and lies.
There was no mention on the App that it could take 5 to 10 days for the deposit to return to us but since then we have been told it can take 10 days plus. Getaround obviously has no conscience to leave people in such a dire financial situation but also distressed at having to sort this mess out because according to them once it is released they don't want nothing to do with it well WRONG because I am now seeking legal advice and will claim compensation.
I have hired many cars before and never have I had to wait that long for a security deposit to.come back to me it's usually within 48hrs MAX and straight in account none of this crap.
I have wasting my time trying to sort this out emailing GETAROUND and contacting my bank. It has left me anxious and upset most days as got bills to pay obviously they do not care about that either.
I want this money back ASAP enough is now enough.

Cheap to hire.
It was cheap here to hire.
However the additional mileage price was too expensive and doubled my booking cost. Refuelling the car added another 100% of initial booking cost.
Would suggest to increase the free mileage.
Was slightly dirty in the inside from the previous user, but the owner did not charge me anything for it.
Car was nice to drive overall.

Everything went very well and we were very pleased with the owner friendliness and availability. the car was good. Good value for money. Not had any problem, which is fantastic given the bad experience we had before with other car rental companies. Recommended.

Did not like the mileage comes with the day rental. 120 miles is no way enough for a full day rental. 200 miles should a bare minimum for a day rental. Car was OK.

The app is easy to use. I was advised of the vehicle location. Followed the instructions and bingo I was driving away with no fuss or bother. Never used anything like this before so was a bit apprehensive but have already booked my second hire. Well done.

Extra charges
The car was great. The registration process lengthy but understandable and easy. My complaint is I booked the car until 5 pm and returned it at 4.46. I was charged £15.75 for late return as I booked in Denmark and I assume because Uk is an hour behind the time was re adjusted to 4pm. This is not ok unless you make this explicit on booking.

I found the whole experience great
I found the whole experience great, but after 13 days I still haven't received my deposit back even if the app says it has been refunded.
Also, when refilling the petrol I have been ripped off of at least 5 litres, as in order to be refunded of the extra petrol you have inserted in the car it needs to be 15% of difference from the initial amount of petrol.
All the rest was very good, the car, the service and the price too
