Good experience
Good experience, until we got stuck in traffic because of Paris marathon and were taxed 35£ for our troubles. No understanding of GA or the car owner, despite there being no immediate other booking for the car. No consideration for having paid for internal and external cleanup + giving the car back with more fuel than we got it.

I do understand that this situation was out of your control, it's important if you're running late that you let the Owner know, and extend your rental in the app, this is to ensure that you remain insured for the entire duration that you are driving the car, remember, the insurance coverage is only for the time stated in your rental agreement.
We have a grace period that allows for the vehicle to be returned up to 29 minutes before charging additional fees. Past 30 minutes, a late fee is applicable and charged by the hour, you can find more information in our Help Centre article here: https://en.getaround.com/help/articles/fe6f1d245c55.

They charged me 300 pounds for 3 parking tickets - be careful
Always loved get around..then I left the car partially on a yellow line (my bad) and they are charging me 300 pounds for 3 tickets while in reality I'd have to pay 130 all in all. It's absurd.. honestly I am speechless. Please avoid them as there's no customer support either.
Edit: in the end they charged me 300 pounds for 3 parking tickets, again, be careful please.

When an owner receives an infraction following a rental on Getaround, they are encouraged to pay it at the lowest rate possible to avoid any additional fines, when the car owner submits an infraction along with proof of payment, the driver is charged for the infraction cost, as well as an admin fee which compensates the owner for the unexpected expense and handling of the ticket.

If you go a tiny bit under the fuel that was previously in the car you get stung horribly. Paid a small fortune for a tiny bit it fuel, which made the whole hire terrible value for money.

Good experience
Was a little disconcerted by having our booking cancelled the day before our flight. This was almost certainly due to the French rental company and out of Getarounds control. Getaround dealt with the problem very well refunding us in full and giving a credit towards a new rental which was a success. Many thanks Getaround.

Service is really simple to use
Service is really simple to use, and has the benefit of some cars not needing contact with the owners with a handy phone app to open the car on pick up and drop off.
Good when your car is in for a service or if you need something fancy, or larger.

I am old customer with getaraund and…
I am old customer with getaraund and always I give 5 stars but
with the last 2 rentals the automatic reading of the fuel don't connect with the car at checkout. Then the fuel is different for the real fuel gauge of the cars and you get charge for the missing fuel over 2 euro per liter plus a fine.This is not right.

Had two very bad experiences with them on the day of picking the cars up which caused a lot of stress. Customer service were mixed, but be extra careful when booking as sometimes the cars don't open/aren't where they are supposed to be!

Great little car - would rent again
Great little car. Good communication with the owner. The CD player was faulty, but it's not the end of the world. The stereo has an aux cable, so use that if you can.
