Convenient, easy to use.
My first time using Getaround and it couldn't have gone more smoothly. Picked it up a half a block from my house. The truck was pretty clean and ran reliably. Will definitely use again.

Could’ve been better
It’s was ok. I expected the agent to be more understanding of exactly how filthy the car was that I rented. I didn’t have time to change cars so I didn’t have a choice to drive it. Also, I think it’s awful that I was charged to verify my license when I had already been using Getaround for almost a decade. It was Getaround’s decision to change platforms, why charge the customers?

Takes a while to Check into the car.
Should let renters know clearly how long it takes to check into the car. Lots of pictures need to be taken. Same as for checking out. So folks in a rush or hurry need to take that into consideration.
And pictures of the car should be updated. There were lots of cosmetic issues with my rental. Plus inside wasn't really clean.
Plus let renters 1st time renters know where to find the key. Had to call the owner.

Horrible service
Horrible service. I booked a car that had a problem. We had to pay to add air, drive back after 1h30min drive and book another car somewhere else. They promised a full refund and $20 credit over the phone. I never got the full refund. I got charged for fuel and extra mile I never did. Had to involve my bank. You cannot contact anyone over the phone once your reservation ended. STAY AWAY

Love Getaround

I’ve been using Getaround for years
I’ve been using Getaround for many many years. You recently updated your app/website causing me to start all over as though I am a new client. My prior renting record was not available to me, which was an issue for me. A problem for me is that It’s difficult to connect with your customer service people. Because you don’t have a telephone number available for me to call. Everything is done by email, and that can take a few days to connect. On a positive note when things go smoothly your service is great.

Car was very stinky with cigarette…
Car was very stinky with cigarette smoke, had to return early for this reason, so lost money on that. There was a decent amount of frame damage spots to the car and the engine light was on, so safety was a concern.

I'm new to Get around and so far I'm not thrilled. Mechanical issues with the app as well as a Prius that wouldn't start yesterday. So far not so good but we'll see if things improve. So far, not very impressed with the service unfortunately

Getaround Devotee!
I have been a Getaround fan for a while now - have booked cars from various locations throughout San Francisco. The support staff at the help lines are very helpful and make certain any concerns are addressed and resolved - they follow-up to make certain everything is OK. Really appreciate Getaround, and all that it offers!

Worst car rental experience
There was no button in the app to lock/unlock the car. There was also no instruction for finding the car key (the key was not behind the sun visor). The owner did not reply to my message in time.
I had to call GetAround EVERY TIME to lock/unlock the car.

another bad experience
another bad experience - you need a team on the ground to go check this host cars -they're dirty, the driver's side door didn't open. and the location itself is being used by local prostitutes at nite and there are condoms on the ground around the cars - are the cars themselves being used for that purpose?
