I found GFD Homes to be very professional.
I had lots of contact from them keeping me updated with my order & arrived on the date given to me. I had two separate deliveries & both drivers contacted me 30 minutes before my delivery. Both items were extremely well packaged & the whole process was faultless.
I would recommend & use them again without hesitation.

Cheaper sometimes is better!
After searching the market for a new front door with side and top panels we got a quote from GFD and their sister company Timber composite doors I was a bit mixed up what the difference between each door was! To my surprise Carla at GFD recommended I go with the cheaper door of the 3 (a comp door) as it had an array of security and structural features that put passed the other 2. After that everything went very smoothly, no issues at the survey or fitting and the door is exactly what we wanted. Thanks so much. Would highly recommend.

The customer service is appalling
The customer service is appalling. Phone lines are terrible for so many days, you only have to deal with emails which takes 2 days to get a response.When I wanted to replace a lock with thumb turn where the lock is not yet fixed, they refuse to take it back instead ask me to order a new lock. I fail to understand why can't they take the uninstalled lock. They just operate online with no onus on any parts. Be careful to deal. I will never prefer gfdhomes again.

After reviewing the phone calls between you and our customer service team it does appear there was a bad line which resulted in us being unable to hear you.
To ensure we understood the call and were able to answer your questions correctly we followed up with an email however going forward I have made a note on your state you would prefer telephone communication.
I can assure you we will always try to work with our customers to ensure they are satisfied with every aspect of their new door.
During the quotation stage, we give our customers plenty of opportunity to swap and change the specification of their door to ensure you can design your dream door before finally signing off and approving your selected door spec.
In your case, your door was signed off and approved with a key cylinder and your request to change to a thumbturn was not made until 3 weeks after delivery which unfortunately meant were unable to exchange it for you.
I am sorry Ashok you have been left dissatisfied but I do hope you love your new door.

Overall, great experience.
The site made it easy to specify exactly how we wanted our doors to look and work and were reasonably priced aswell as not taking too long to be made and delivered. Communication between order and delivery was good (make sure you check junk mail!!) and once delivered the delivery man was very helpful and friendly. Can’t fault our experience.

Trade review
As a joiner I often fit composite doors. This is my fist time using GFD homes and I don't have a single complaint. Beating all competitors prices I have used. Excellent quality door and not only the cheapest but the fastest I've ever had.

NOT reliable - terrible expensive experience with delivery
We did not know until we ordered that this is NOT even kerbside delivery as the doors came with just one driver who could not get it off the van, so we had to be there when delivered. Also the time to wait to get the doors is a LOT longer than advertised on their website.
We booked time off work and organised our builder to be here for delivery.
Also the doors did not turn up TWICE after we had builders on site waiting for the delivery, no communication on both occasions so we were waiting 9-5 on the first day we were promised delivery and then waited 9-midday the second day, when we contacted them to find out where the door was only to be told that the driver rang in sick (which they knew at 8am but didn't feel the need to ring us and tell us our doors would not be delivered again).
Still don't know if the door is ok or not as the builder hasn't had time to come back and fit it after us having him sit around our house all day on 2 separate occasions. 2 days off work for us, 2 days of paying the builder no back door on our house and not a penny in compensation from GFD. POOR SERVICE it has cost us more in builders fees and time off work than the doors are actually worth. I would not use them again.

First of all, I can only apologise for the delays you have experienced with the order, this is absolutely not the service we aim to give our customers.
Our goal is to get it right the first time however unfortunately there are sometimes delays out of control which we always try to make our customers aware of with plenty of time, I can only apologise if this did not happen for your order.
With regards to your concerns about our delivery service and only delivering curbside, we try to be transparent with our delivery process. Before your delivery, you will receive a delivery information email which explains our delivery process and that you will require people on-site to help with offloading.
Once again I can only apologise for the delays you have experienced but I would like to assure you this is not standard practice for us or our customers.
