Wow. Blew us away - better than expected!

Wow.. So pleased to have discovered this company. I read all the reviews on here and was a tad worried had I made a bad choice. Thankfuly, I read between the lines and bit the bullet!
Been in business for 30 years, our old cold room had finally packed in - we were quoted £2800 to replace only the chiller unit.
Instead, we purchased a cold room, exactly the same size from GGM - from very little more .
Unbelievable! SO spot on! Delivery - as promised was efficient. The company contacted us by phone from the UK - and happily agreed a mutual delivery. In fact, on the day itself, further phone call connected us with the driver -the effort made by the girl in Rochdale office to get the info for us was above the call of duty - so well done you!
The goods arrived very well packaged, and superbly numbered with diligent instructions.
Our electrician came yesterday, and installed all for us. He has been our electrician for 20 years, and would know a bad egg if he seen one. He was gobsmacked also - the quality was way better than we expected.
Possibly a lot of reviews are written about small appliance etc - but my review from our experience, is a very firm 5 star! Well done GGM !

EU plug?

The equipment is very good, but it is not suitable to ship to the UK with an EU plug, and this is not mentioned on the product description page.

I will have to spend extra money to use this, which is not good.

Display Fridge very very low quality

One of the worse company i’ve ever came across, they’re sending you a damaged item , very hard to contact them and to solve the problem , the item bought a disply fridge can’t even be cleaned off because of the doors , (bad design) , the product still in warranty but they’ll send you the part and no tehnician , more costs for the buyer , bad money spent, pay more and purchase things somewhere else,they’re very arrogants oboth contries , Germany and Romania , i wouldn’t buy from them , i feel sorry for a company big like them and the second hand quality , shame to GGM Gastro

GGM Gastro – A Warning to Anyone Buying Restaurant Equipment

From the start, my interactions with GGM Gastro (Sweden and internationally) have been marked by a complete lack of responsibility. When a faulty or incorrect product was delivered, they repeatedly denied any wrongdoing – instead blaming me, the customer, for not contacting them before the purchase to clarify information.

That logic is completely unacceptable. As a customer, I should be able to trust that the product information provided on their website is correct. It’s not the buyer’s responsibility to double-check product specifications that the company has already published. GGM Gastro seems to operate on a model of avoiding accountability at all costs.

Low Quality and Worthless Warranties

Just like many other GGM Gastro reviews online, I noticed a clear pattern: products often break quickly, show signs of poor build quality, or simply don’t match their descriptions. And when you try to claim a warranty or request service, you’re met with endless delays – or worse, no response at all.

Their so-called “warranty” is more or less worthless, and any issue you raise gets bounced between departments with no resolution. In my case, several weeks passed without any meaningful response or willingness to help.

A Company That Doesn’t Care About Customers

What’s most troubling about GGM Gastro is their complete disregard for customer satisfaction. Instead of focusing on resolving issues, they’re more concerned with protecting themselves. Their replies are often generic, templated, and dismissive – without any personal engagement or understanding of your situation.

If you run a restaurant, café, or food service business, you know how critical functioning equipment is. Delays, miscommunication, and broken appliances cost time and money – something GGM Gastro does not seem to understand or care about.



Summary: Why You Should Avoid GGM Gastro

Here’s why I do not recommend GGM Gastro to anyone:
• ❌ Product information is misleading or inaccurate
• ❌ Customer service is unhelpful or nonexistent
• ❌ The company shifts blame onto the customer
• ❌ Warranty service is unreliable or denied altogether
• ❌ Product quality is poor and not built to last

There are far better alternatives on the market when it comes to commercial kitchen and restaurant equipment – companies that take customer satisfaction and product quality seriously. GGM Gastro is not one of them

1 Star – Completely Unacceptable. Avoid at All Costs.
If I could give zero stars, I would. This company has completely destroyed my trust and jeopardized my business. I ordered a commercial fridge they promised would arrive in 9 days. It’s now been over a month—and still nothing. No fridge. No proper updates. No sense of urgency.

Because of their failure to deliver, my business has been forced to shut down for two full weeks. That’s lost revenue, lost customers, and damage I may never fully recover from.

Their customer service? Useless. I’ve had to chase them repeatedly with no straight answers—just empty apologies and broken promises.

I trusted them with a critical part of my business, and they completely let me down. If you’re running any kind of serious operation, do not rely on this company. They’re unreliable, unprofessional, and clearly don’t care about the consequences of their incompetence.

Absolutely shameful.

€2,143 Dishwasher Disaster – Broken on Arrival, Broken Promises Too

We bought a dishwasher for over €2,100 that never worked from day one. The company had no technician in our area and told us to arrange the inspection ourselves — promising €200 reimbursement in writing. We followed their instructions exactly. After weeks of silence, they changed their story and refused to pay. From delivery in early February to late March, we dealt with delays, miscommunication, and broken commitments. A truly disappointing experience and violation of basic consumer rights. Not recommended.

Refused to refund faulty product

I purchased an expensive induction fryer for my business. After 3 uses, it started flashing an error code and stopped working. Customer service is not helpful - they won’t return or replace, only “contribute” an amount towards a repair if I can find my own technician. Here I am without a fryer, dealing with this headache. Spend your money elsewhere!

Never buy here

Never buy here, the freezer can not cool to -18, the dimensions on the technical sheets are wrong, very cheap product, avoid at all costs. Pay a little bit more and get a known brand

Ordered a sausages filling machine

Ordered a sausages filling machine. Was supposed to arrive by the 27 of May, nothing showed up. Run away as fast as you can. These guys are scammers.

Update

Today is the 20th of June, when my order didn't arrive on the 27 of May as promised, I opted to cancel the order and asked for a refund, that was on the 2nd of June. The scammers have not yet bothered to reply.

Another update
Parcel finally arrives, 2 months after expected delivery date. I now recommend GGM Gastro to all my enemies.

I ordered 2 refrigerators

I ordered two refrigerators from your website, where it was stated that delivery would take 1–3 business days. However, it is now well beyond that timeframe, and there has been no delivery, no update, and no response from your company.

We urgently need these items, and I have already paid for the order, yet I have not even received an invoice or any confirmation beyond the initial payment.

If I do not receive a response and clear update on the status of my order very soon, I will be forced to report this matter to the authorities, as it currently appears to be a potential scam.

No after sales at all. Get your money and stuff you

I purchased a 3 door glass fronted bottle cooler for my bar in March 2023. They did not have the option of extended warranty. Last week it stopped working so I contacted the company who didn't want to know because it was over one year old and only offered a number for a repair man to come out. He arrived on Friday after I had made a prepayment of €174. He doesn't 30 mins looking at it, then disappeared to get a probe which he said was the problem. He returned and spent another 30 mins, then told me it was scrap and to buy a new one. So I spent approx €650 for two years use. Then I received another bill this morning for €375 from the repair company because he had to buy a probe (which costs approx €10) and he was here for an extra 30 mins over the allotted time. 2 years use it of a machine that is supposed to be designed for commercial use. To me that is ridiculous. GGM Gastro, stay well clear of this company.

Damaged goods and non delivery ordered 28 March

I ordered 18 items on 28 March, 10 received but 2 large items were so damaged they were rejected. 8 items are still outstanding and no response to delivery date. We are finishing a new building and this is a complete nightmare.
Damaged items: a large cupboard Eur 707 was only wrapped in cardboard with no further protection and badly dented and a small sink Eur 258 looked like it had been manually panel beaten. The complaints department acknowledge the complaint yet refuse to make a refund until they receive the goods back in the warehouse. What happened to the good company I dealt with 8 years ago. Very poor now, so disappointed.

This company should be ashamed of themselves. They sell you damaged goods and then just ignore you.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

We ordered a +900€ brand new freezer and it DOESN'T work, it warms up instead of cooling. We have never use it, it literally came faulty from the supplier.
I immediately notified them and NOBODY has taken responsibility. I asked them to send a technician or a replacement, yet several days have passed without FIXING THEIR MISTAKE.
I have to call repeatedly and still I get no answers, no refund, no fixing and no replacement. One woman said that because of the warranty they only send spare parts?! What?! A brand NEW freezer comes straight broken, it was obviously NOT tested before sending and they might only provide some spare parts?! RIDICULOUS!
I am beyond angry! This is pure INCOMPETENCE, I am losing over 500€ frozen ingredient value of a preorder because of this and having to delay my businesses opening.
We will take legal action if this doesn't get resolved soon!

DO NOT BUY ELECTRIC PRODUCTS from this company! This feels like a SCAM!

Update:
I was told that they would only cover 200€ of the fixing, and I have to get the technician myself and cover the rest. Maybe the device is not even fixable and WHY should we pay the rest of the fixing fee of a NEW device that we ordered! All electronics should be tested by the supplier before sale! It is THE SELLER RESPONSIBILITY. It absolutely shocking that we have to fight for GGM Gastro to behave according to EU consumer laws!

However, it does not cover technician costs, travel expenses, or a full device replacement.

These additional services are only included in our optional full warranty package, which can be booked separately and is clearly described in our general terms and conditions and warranty policy.

Unfortunately, as the standard warranty was chosen, our obligation is limited to supplying the necessary spare parts free of charge, and not for covering third-party technician costs or direct replacements.
