Excellent service
Our family have used MK Ginders since 1993 and have always been very happy with their service.
Every member of the team is helpful, friendly, understanding and very respectful.
Our most recent funeral was my mother-in-law's during lock down and they took care of every little detail so we didn't have to worry about anything.

The service me and family received…
The service me and family received through lockdown was great. Katy was a massive help when organising the funeral for my grandma and she remembered me and my grandma when we organised my granddads funeral. Which was a lovely fealing when talking over the phone or via email. Also the gentlemans who lead out the funeral was great. What was a sad time was made easy. Thanks agin to all the team. Jack.

Ginder’s St. Albans.
Ginder’s were helpful, professional, courteous, knowledgable and supportive. I had to organise the funeral of my mother in St Albans while under lockdown in France. Most of my family live outside the UK, in places such as Australia, the USA, and Europe.
Ginder’s helped to organise and/or coordinate everything, such as collecting my mother from her care home, and then all the practical details, including the venue, the minister, the service, the flowers, the donations, the cremation, the music, and the live video feed of the service which I and my family very much appreciated. It was a short but beautiful service. Throughout all this they were sympathetic and understanding.
I couldn’t have done it without them.

Went above and beyond to ...
Very pleased with the service we recieved from Ginders for our mother's funeral. They were very helpful finding us a minister and went above and beyond to facilitate arrangements with Woking Crematorium where they had not been before. They were respectful and Victoria was always able to answer any questions we had. We coulnd't have asked for more.

Phenomenal service and support
The team at M.K. Ginder & Sons were amazing at making sure they helped us through every step of organising my Mum's funeral with the utmost compassion and support. On the day, they ensured that we didn't have to worry about anything; they just managed everything for us down to the smallest details so that we could focus on the service and people who joined us. Even with COVID restrictions, they enabled us to give our Mum the best send off possible and I would highly recommend them.

Generally good but need to update technical facilities and virtual calls.
Mostly MK Ginder and Sons were excellent and did the job with appropriate sympathy and respect. Both with immediate collection of the body and at the service, the firm were faultless and extremely helpful.
However it would be useful if the office were more technically able especially in this difficult Covid time.
It would also be useful if it was explained that only instructions from the main informant were able to be taken. We understand that some families are not in agreement but when it had already been discussed that son and daughter of the deceased would be working together this was annoying. In normal circumstances, we would have visited the office together. This would be easy to organise with all the virtual conference calls that most of us have been using during the pandemic.
The heading for emails emanating from the firm should have the title of the firm and the name of the deceased, not the name of the village!
I believe in constructive criticism.
I would still recommend the firm to others.

No Second Chances
When you choose a funeral director to take care of a departed parent you are putting immense trust in that company. You want everything to go just right as you cant come back tomorrow for a second go. With four siblings the trust in your judgement to make the right choice is a heavy load. A load which was lifted from me by the staff at Ginders. From the initial call out in the night to the farewell handshake at the end of it all nothing was too much trouble and everything was done with grace and extreme professionalism.
I knew all was well when my sister said to me "Ginders did Dad proud"
